Does anyone know the keybind option for the left-button click of the mouse to activate the jump point? I want to bind that option to a button on my HOTAS.
Yes it's under "keybindings" > flight -movement > the setting is called "jump drive - request jump"
To be fair with the mantis interdiction you can’t just exit at any point it’s actually a window of when you can capture everything leaving where you just left and heading towards the destination
Interesting from Pyro to Stanton I arrived at a random location, in the middle of nowehere 15G from Microtech. Is this normal, should not it 'drop you out' at the gateway..? Actually helps with those campers should this be intentional :)
So if you "fail" the jump (i.e. go outside of the walls), you will be yeeted out into either system in a random place. However, you are right lol, if the other side is being gatekept, this is a valid strategy :D

I just got around to trying this last night, got a little frustrated but ultimately figured it out. Things I still don't understand: do you _click_ or _hold_ the left mouse button to activate the gate? Assuming you're in the correct spot, once activated, do you need to accelerate toward the gate or does it suck you in? My frames were 1-5 fps so it was very difficult to tell which effects were due to my inputs so I'm still not sure what I did to make it work.
So, if the frame rate is that low, its definitely difficult to confirm things. I will say you only need to "press" the LMB, not hold it to activate the JP. Also, it pulls you in, so you do not need to accel/decel in order to go in.

When you say Left Mouse Button, is that the same as the trigger button on the HOTAS, the Fire Weapon button? I don't use a mouse for anything but on foot stuff, so I assume Left Mouse would be HOTAS trigger? Thnx
This is a great question, but i can say that didn't work for me as I use joysticks too (hosas setup). To be fair, I did not check the options/settings to see if it can be bound manually

And also where is the benefit of exploration ships going through this, it should be when exploration ships should have something to show for doing this? What i mean by that is the pillars should show up on a map similar to how you see speed camera locations on your gps navigation, on the line your car is traveling on.
If you press tab key to scan will you see the pillars from further away so you can plan your drifting?

I was interested in StarCitizen pretty much since from 2010/2011 and still didn't purchase it. Why? Because developers still make one massive mistake - they constantly trying to improve this game by adding new things WITHOUT fixing the bugs. What is the point to adding more and more to the game which is full of bugs. They should fix the bugs first to make a stable and enjoyable game and then step by step adding new things.
Concentrating your development time on fixing bugs while still implementing basic tech is extremely ineffective since you constantly break the same things again just in another ways. Star Citizens ambitions are quite big. This translates into a long development time. In order to prove people that their monetary support translates into progress CIG has to share their development process with its supporters. By far most of the supporters are gamers only and have zero clue about development processes, let alone a software development process. This translates into disappointment and for some unstable individuals into hate when playing the alpha. I hope that after the (currently) last big tech hurdle of dynamic server meshing the waves of big changes are calming down, so that fixing bugs is worth the effort. However, as long as Star Citizen will be developed (meaning the codebase changes), there will always be bugs. But onces the game has a good foundation from a gameplay perspective, CIG can take its time to iron out the bugs before releasing them onto the live servers.
@@stephanmilius3598 Star Citizen is one of those games which divide the gamers pretty much since the begining. The idea of the game is great but on the other hand taking in to consideration of how much time Chris Roberts had and how much money he acquired for game development, players have the right to be a disappointed. I still wish Star Citizen to be a succesful game which I may consider to purchase one day but despite the progress (extremly slow one) there is still the same issue with the game: constant promisses with 'we do it tomorrow' approach. Many gamers don't know much or nothing about the development processes, that's true, but thouse games are the 'End users' and the developers should take this in to considerion and find the right balance between developing and delivering promisess, Because so far in my opinion they concentrating more on developing than delivering. Obviously there is no point to rush and release the unfinished game too, but in my opinion the Star Citizen is like 'Neverending story'. There is a progress, for sure, but also there is no scope of when the game will be finished and most promisses should be taken 'with a big grain of salt'. I also think that developers+Chris Roberts took a quite risky developing approach for this game. What I mean is, when Star Citizen been announced in 2012 it was huge and amazing with proper Wow factor. Now we have 2024 and what was shown in 2012 is not that Wow anymore, because many games started catching up. So there is risk that if the game will be finally fully released it will lose of this Wow factor, because all these unique games features will not be really that unique anymore and I think that this actually start happen already. I can land on the planets for example and have fancy ships in many other games now and I can do it in native VR on the top of that. So what I'm saying is, that slowly Star Citizen become less and less unique game. But there are a lot of players who enjoy to play the current state of the game and to follow the game development and I'm fine with that. As long as someone enjoy doing this, that's great. I prefer spend my time on some other titles which are finished or have more chances to be finished in sensible time and check the Star Citizen development very occasionally.
What time zone is the Org based out of? I’m in the EST and many orgs I have found are either PST or Europe.
We are global, but most of our org members are EST/CST atm

The draw distance and the LOD is so much better than what we see in Live.
Best Bloom compilation I have seen so far. God this will be beautiful when Genesis hits with all its pieces. Also cannot wait to see what Stanton will look like with this tech.
Phoenix operations on Bloom with an Ultrawide screen are also something I really enjoy doing, even though I'm a 21:9 team. But 32:9 does have its advantages. ❤
I can't wait until this company starts making PROPERLY SEEDED ALGORITHMIC WORLDS... that's the ONLY WAY this project moves into 100 star system territory. It'll be great, solid.

Death of a spacema and spaceship are good ideas on paper but it is way too early to implement them. Yesturday i died at least 4 times due to stupid bugs. It will be very frustrating losing time and effort because they want to add these features premature... In essense punishing the testers, because that is what we are, for their inability to fix the damn elevators...
I highly doubt ‘death of a spaceman’ will get into the game before 1.0. No dev in their right mind would make a permadeath feature knowing they have a game in alpha with lots of bugs. But I agree, its a cool concept and when the game gets ironed out more itll make things more action packed and meaningful imo

Friendly advice: dont use 32:9 aspect ratio on youtube when 99% use default 16:9 or 10. it looks very weird.

Or... on the contrary, since uwides monitors aren't suitable for games (as little as triple screens where you lose display space at the top and bottom). We think it's better to get a in 16:9 ratio screen but with a higher resolution (ex: Odyssey Ark). (Beautiful video tho)

So that seems to be when you have taken too long to open it. However, I will say that the jump points have been bugged a lot, so sometimes this a bug and not anything that you have done wrong. That should be fixed as we continue testing it in EPTU and PTU

So at the moment not much outside of that screen effect you saw in the vid. However, part of me feels (have not confirmed this) that it might have an EMP affect of sorts on your ship with a chance of disabling your ship, yeeting it out of the jump tunnel

You're welcome! 🙂 So, it can be challenging, but i think right now that is mostly due to server instability I haven't tried smaller ships yet, so I can't answer that just yet
I've done it with a F7A, Vanguard, and a C2 Honestly, the C2 was the easiest, by a lot
I tried for 3 hours today and I never got the HUD switch to calibrate or recognize the jumpgate in any way using 4 different ships.
Yeah today (and yesterday) has had really bad stretches of performance and bug issues that prevent jumping. I think I got lucky to get the two that I did. Even the first one in this video was impacted by a bug at the end, which is why you see me in a different ship on the jump back to Pyro
Did the campers come after you while you were waiting for jump on way back to Stanton?
No, but the game servers did, they crashed after that first jump :D

Were the pips working during this?
That is a great question, I was on the Torpedo station, so I can't answer that. The patch notes said yes the pips should have been showing. Also, based on some of the footage it seemed like some of our turrets gunners had a good bead on the targets, so I am going make a strong guess and say yes there were present
Great video... But.... always make sure the pilot keeps the ship moving... Whoever was flying kept that ship stationary during battle for way too long
Yep, I think they were testing the PDC's. This was PTU so we were testing some things, but I totally agree with you. In the org, we will definitely be more organized and efficient. The group here was really cool and was shooting pretty decently though I must say :)
