    The “crew lounges” are in all the cargo decks. They’ve always been there.

      True. This room has been around since the cargo decks came into the game.

      They usually have a turtle in there, too.

    This hidden spot can be found at every station with a cargo deck. It's been there since cargo decks were introduced just not many people knew about them. Another great vid.

    This was a great way to see this very cool ship and learn its layout and functions before its in the PU. Seems like a huge leap in gameplay for cargo hauling, piracy and station interaction. Can't wait to see these big haulers flying all over!

    the doors are open by default on the docking ports because otherwise you wouldn't be able to enter the ship, since CIG somehow managed to block the door access panels to ships with the docking collar itself which became first apparent with the 890j and in good old CIG fashion they just stuck with the temporary fix since then.

      I wish they would go back to the "inner thought"/mobi'glass opens the doors. Used to be able to just look at the door and command it open. Pressing the button seems so 2022 haha

    I had goosebumps when you entered that elevator inside the Hull-C while in QT.

    IIRC, that hideout isn't new, and can be found at every station with a cargo services area.

  • @aweisen1
    @aweisen1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Supposedly, the only places you can trade with a Hull-C are the 4 main planet space stations.

  • @captainglume
    @captainglume ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the vid. Ya, currently you can only trade at the major planetary stations with a Hull C. If the RAFT's containers could be detached then you could transfer the cargo but that doesn't seem to be the case. ♥

    being able to stow away aboard someone else's ship sounds like a fun mechanic.

  • @lord17c
    @lord17c ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'd like them to tell us what they wanted tested. If its the new system of loading a hull C, likely should make it so all the stations buy things, no matter the demand, so we can try out the cargo system.

  • @KriLL325783
    @KriLL325783 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really like the Hull C, but yeah it's pretty buggy/wonky atm, I trust most of that will be cleared up in short order though, the handful of people I've seen yelling about it being so bad they're going to melt it really confuse me... It's going to get better.
    Main things I don't like that aren't bugs are the ladder to the living area, how are you meant to move stuff or injured people up/down that? A small elevator next to it would be very useful. And the rear airlock seems to be set up like an interior door, it opens on approach for everyone, making it a security nightmare, and safety once depressurization is added. And the only storage I've found are the 4 bumps in the room before the shower/toilet, odd spot. And no weapon lockers, yeah it's not a military ship, but you might want some to repel boarders.
    Afaik you can only buy and sell with the C at stations orbiting planets, aka Everus Harbor. Seraphim, Baijini Point & Port Tressler.

    • @tom.m

      True. If there's one thing CIG is known for it's fixing buggy ships, and in a timely manner!

    I' have been trying the ship out but thus far have only managed to get cargo loaded once and have never managed to get it unloaded. But that is expected early on. I expect it to wasted time in the PU unless CIG adds measures against the many ways other players can use to simply prevent anyone from effectively using the Hull C. When the ship is spawned at a docking port the port doors and the ship door are wide open for anyone camping out in the port to board the ship at their leisure while the owner and crew use the elevator to get to the port. I'd recommend that before the owner spawns the ship for there to be at least one crew member at both docking ports to try to prevent and campers from entering the ship, or at least to have the owner store the ship if a thug does run onto the ship. My hope is that anyone who wants to troll cannot just fly into the loading/unloading areas in their tiny ships and cause the loading/unloading process to come to a halt because of movement in the area. I also predict that some trolls will be camping the 4 stations they already know are the only trading stations that accommodate the Hull C will be camping with one goal in mind, to ram the Hull C after it is loaded to make as much of a loss to the ship owner as possible. It will happen regardless of crew size and the number of escorts. Plus, only one of the ship's turrets can be used at a time. It is a sitting duck for 10 minutes at a time, at only 4 possible locations in Stanton, what can go wrong lol?

    I would have thought that they let you load from the docking ports, and have this "in space loading" area only on stations that have no docking capability.

    Hi. Seraphim station has a jail. At least that's what I would call it. It is at the far end of the station with lots of landing pads and guns. I tried to land on one of the pads and was shot down and sent to prison for trespassing. There appears to be an open door near the pads. I was wondering if you and your crew could get inside and show us what's in there? Thanks!

    I wonder...if they just placed Port Olisar at a random point far away from any planets or space stations and removed any quantum markers around it or the ability to find it on the starmap, how long it would take players to stumble across it.

    Was it ever figured out if anyone other than the co-pilot had access to the 2 remote turrets? Because it seems a little odd to give both turrets to one seat only.

    • @Citizen_Kate
      @Citizen_Kate  ปีที่แล้ว

      It appears that only the copilot has them yeah - kinda sucks as there is the captain seat there just doing nothing - would have been cool to have them spread to one for each seat

    • @BizzMRK
      @BizzMRK ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Theres a computer component access panel on the bridge left to the door so the idea is probably that these remote turrets will either optionally or by default be automated with server blades in the future with the co-pilot being able to access one of them if needed. Still a very odd design choice.
      The main issue I see with the turrets is the lack of the rear bottom one seen in the concept arts though causing massive blindspots. Since these are remote and thus take up very little room I don't see why it was removed in production.

    • @sebc8938

      The rear turret is just above an open compartiment so was probably imagined as manned but with MISC, it woould have proteubed inside the corridor and probably blocked it.

    The new boxes are a great addition. Now they just need to make them empty so we can buy them and put them in our ship for storage.

  • @BigEd2006
    @BigEd2006 ปีที่แล้ว

    definitely should let you trade at all space stations. I wonder if you can at refineries?
    Also need to make the RAFT have a grid now that the tech is in.
    Raft would be sweet if it could secure/swing load vehicles at the back too but that's wishful.

    In the PU spent all my cash on cargo, went to the light cube as instructed , then nothing, didnt load the hull C. Unable to leave the area or will lose the unclaimed cargo, unable to dock as still in the area.

  • @Jarrek33
    @Jarrek33 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Think we need another system for this ship to be viable. The system already does not have enough goods that are valuable. The larger ships seem ok for the system as is. But the hull c seems too large for what there is. Hope they can make it a viable path eventually. Most smaller ships cant be profitable with the system as is.

    • @CathrineMacNiel
      @CathrineMacNiel ปีที่แล้ว

      And this is JUST the C. Imagine the bulk you ferry in a fricking Hull E (nearly 32 times the cargo capacity of the C)! We need that Quantum Simulation in place ASAP!

      I don't see how it would work. Life Aboard: Corsair works because the Corsair does it all, from space combat to bunker missions, to carrying a mining buggy to having a cargo hold large enough to put stripped components if you do salvaging. The Hull C does one thing, go from Station A to Station B hauling cargo, and since you can't land while hauling cargo, that means you can only buy and sell what is offered at the 4 stations you can use in Stanton. You can't land at bunkers unless you have no cargo. You can't carry a mining vehicle, and even if you could you couldn't deploy it since you can't land with the spindles open. You can't salvage because even if you just go for stripping components and guns, you can't land to sell them at the various junkyards. Maybe if piracy was better organized it'd be interesting watching a Hull C as part of a task force, but on its own I just don't think there's enough content compared to all the other great stuff the channel does. The Hull C is cool, but way too specialized for a Life Aboard series in my opinion.
