Also, the “pencil wet” comment really reveals Kody’s view of women and relationships. He can’t conceive that there is ANY OTHER REASON that a guy might want to see his girlfriend other than for sex. To talk to her, to hug her, to spend time together, to maintain their bond, to laugh…because he simply feels happy in her presence and misses her when they’re apart. Nope. None of those. The only possible reason they wanted to see their girlfriends was to get their “pencil wet.” 🤢

If you go back and look at the moment Kody tried to ask if Meri could come and visit during covid, cause she followed all the guidelines, you will see she said NO, and that was it. She had the last say. If she was so submissive, she would have said: what you think is best...

Christine was very pregnant, watching 13 kids during the day, going to work at night and needed help from Kody to put the kids to bed instead of having the 10 year old do it. He would not do it because it would show "favorites". 😡 Funny it's around the same time he was courting Robyn!
And they went on a honeymoon right after she gave birth
And he joked about how he was busy kissing his girlfriend while his wife was in labor in the hospital. Real catch.

It just reminds me of a child and the playground. She is intimidated and threatened by Janelle. Apparently Robin has missed few mirror her self she put on about 60 pounds or so since she had her 2 kids with Kody

Kody is estranged from 3 of his wives and most of his children… At what point does he realise that HE is the common denominator in the family falling apart? His apology to his boys were completely insincere… ‘I’m sorry BUT I had to protect MY FAMILY…’ He somehow forgets that those boys ARE his family…. Luckily the kids still have two loving, supportive parents that put them first… And those parents are Janelle and Christine.
I suspect that self awareness is something that Kody has in large supply.

I actually felt for once his apology was somewhat sincere. It wasn't the best ever or anything but for Cody it seemed fairly genuine

Kody also talking about his sons getting their ‘pencil wet’. THEY WORKED. Not everyone was able to stay home. I went to work as a nurse every damn day because we needed to. Also grocery stores! Those people were JUST as important as anyone else. Not everyone could quit or just stay home. God knows he wouldn’t have supported them financially

Christine asked for help from Kody when she was pregnant with Truly. Christine took care of like 13 kids during the day while heavily pregnant than had to go to work at night to help bring in more money. She asked Kody to help tuck in her children when she is at work. He said no and 10 year old Aspen had to put all her siblings to bed! To see Robin get a nanny and not work must really piss off christine
And he's got to run take them to school cuz God for bid SOBYN CRYBROWS gets up. That's why he couldn't go with Ysabelle’s surgery. Poor baby, imagine your dad saying "oh I can't be away from my kids that long " WTF i'm sure she's thinking and what am I?? And Truley who almost died in his care cuz he's too busy with Sobyn Crybrows kids.
Go back and watch the beginning. When she came with $30,000 dollars worth of debt. Then when she had a bill to pay asks "kody I have to pay a bill...Do I just put on the counter". How about you get a job besides "My Sister Wives Closet", when stuff is SO EXPENSIVE no one can afford it. She has never worked. Ever sense joining the family.

The Tell All told us nothing new. I can’t believe they didn’t address the difference in how his children are treated. How he wasn’t there for his daughter’s surgery, or kid’s Birthday, or even how he missed his granddaughter’s amputation.
He had so much to say about how mad he would be if Garrison and Gabe brought covid to the family while getting there pencils wet. Yet, Briana did and it’s a completely different reaction. He’s a hypocrite and a jerk!

Lots of rehashing the same crap. How about asking why was a wedding ok, but not going to a surgery, even if only for a few days and not the whole recovery? Or do you realize your boys were also WORKING, not just seeing their girlfriends? Many other questions could have been asked. I feel like we just rewatched the couch interviews from the season.

Wasn’t it Gabe who was really depressed during an earlier season? The mental pressure isolation put on teens especially was immense, but Kody can’t see past his selfishness to understand that maybe the boys NEEDED the emotional connection with their girlfriends (it’s not just about sex Kody!) to keep their mental health intact.

Yes he was also doing really well in school in Las Vegas he had friends he was doing well on the wrestling team and they uprooted everybody in Vegas to go to Arizona for Dayton who's not even going to school there

I agree here. Robyn was saying that she didn’t want the house, but then insisting on a 6 bedroom mansion for rent. She brought it up so many times that I can’t help but think she secretly DID want that giant 6 bedroom house. Kody pushed it on the show so that she wouldn’t get the blame. She knew the Sisterwives would have a problem with Robyn buying an almost million dollar house. So she pretended. She pretends a lot.

About Robyn 1. She wasn't crying. Her eyes were completely dry and usually are when she's dabbing at them and making her sad noises. 2. Just because she "acted" like she didn't want the big house, doesn't mean that she was sincere. She wants to present herself a certain likeable way but I think she and Kody have worked to siphon money away from the other households.

Like when you go to look at jewelry and you see one you love, but you don't think he'll get it for you, so you oooh and ahhh and then when he asks, you say ' oh no we can't afford that it's too much' all the while saying yes that's the one and I want it now so don't even look any further. lol She probably talked about nothing else but that house and none of the others compared so her 'oh no we can't afford it, really meant, Kody this is the one, find a way. And of course Kody wants the best for himself so she saves face by her little it's too much talk, and they both get what they want. I have bought and sold houses with my now ex. We always stayed within budget and I saw houses I would have LOVED to have owned but we couldn't afford. He didn't even see them cause I took them off the list. I never played games like that. Just to queue you in on what Christine probably meant- there was something she pointed out this past season where Kody does everything to help Robyn’s kids. Even babysits. The one kayaking (or hiking - can’t remember which) trip they went on Kody brought Robyn’s kids. And that pissed Christine off because she then goes to tell the story of a time before Robyn when Christine was watching ALL of the kids during the day and had to work nights to help financially support the family. She asked Kody at that time hey since we all live in one home could you just come and tuck the kids in at night and help me out since I’m working then. And Kody said no because it’s too much and not fair to the other wives. And so Christine’s older kid had to do it. She was exhausted going non stop and he wouldn’t help. Yet here he is being super Dad to Robyn’s kids. There for Robyn, not Christine when she needs help. Hope that clarifies.
Christine was pregnant at the time too. But it wasn't Kody's night with Christine's kids, so no, he couldn't run downstairs and tuck the kids in. He's always been a loser, his friends from high school sure had him pegged, it's sad that these wonderful kids had to have him for their father. It takes more than sperm to be a dad.

Also I think it was around that time that Christine had to file for bankruptcy for the sake of the whole family. It may have been a stipulation that she work... so she was caring for all of the children during the day, pregnant with Truly, and having to work at night!! This family never did care for each other enough... esp Kody & Meri & later Robyn was just as bad....my opinion..

Next time he asserts his dominance over her with such personal touching, she could ask "You planning on keeping that hand?" That's the language he can hear. Even if he ever learned he has repulsed the entire country, he'll blame the lifestyle, when really, it's just him.
Maybe Kody comparing his equipment as a"pencil" explains why he is only intimate with Robyn. Maybe that's why she is always sobbing robbyn
Kody is a closeted gay man who is so insecure about his sexuality that he surrounded himself with women. But he isn't t attracted to any of them. In spite of having so many kids, they rarely had sex

Kody said he was never attracted to and he never loved Christine, can you imagine how he treated her in the bedroom. I can imagine she had a lot to not be happy or satisfied with.
I find it so interesting that Robyn says that the other wives "rejected Kody and withheld affection." Um, excuse me? He often withheld affection from Christine as a means of "punishment." The reason Christine left was bc he refused to have an intimate marriage w/ her. He refuses to have any kind of marriage w/ Meri, and Janelle says that she had to accept and mourn the fact that the romantic part of their relationship was gone. If you're the one deciding to end that part of your relationship, then why would you have to learn to accept it and mourn that loss? So my question is is Robyn just a liar, or has Kody manipulated her into thinking that was the truth?
Robyn is a liar. Robyn is a liar that lies a whole lot. Robyn isn't JUST a liar, but a crafty, sly, conniving, manipulating liar. That fake-cries constantly. And professes to be so caring about other's feelings she's an 'empath'. I call bull sh*t! She has an agenda, a set of 'tools' she's using to advance her plan. She MIGHT care about Kody, but I think he will be easily discarded if he stops meeting her financial expectations. She has the ability to turn cold and calculating (on a dime). I've seen it on the show.
@sallywasagoodolgal I do think that Robyn Def plays up the "innocent, I never do anything" intentionally. I find it disgusting how she frames situations w/ her kids to make it seem like she and by proxy they are always the victim. Like when Christine and Janelle decided to spend Thanksgiving with their older kids last yr and she made it seem like they couldn't bother to follow Covid protocols in order to spend time with them instead of what it actually was: they wanted to spend the holiday with their kids!

Robyn CONTINUES to say over and over again that Christine has said she doesn't want a relationship with dayton Aurora and Breanna which never happened.
And the thing is we need to stop forgetting that Robyn has always been this way. She has always been PURPOSEFULLY sneaky and disingenuous and has been taking a flame thrower to the family culture she claims to love so much. Remember the Season 1 wedding dress situation she hid that from the wives? And them having physical contact prior to their engagement which is against the religion they were all so devoted to back in the beginning she also hid that from the wives and the whole courtship was hidden from Janelle and Christine in the beginning too. And remember how Robyn and Kody were both upset with Christine for being frustrated that when Kody was courting Robyn he would drive hours and hours to go see her and the kids which took away from his time with his actual wives and their children? But NOW it's all about how Robyn has done everything to maintain the family culture and she has made all of these sacrifices when in reality from the SECOND that Kody and Robyn started courting everybody else was sacrificing, and they got to do whatever they wanted. Robyn never gave up a single thing.
Cue season 18, Kody driving along in his convertible again, all happy discussing bringing a new wife into his family ... Wouldn't that be interesting to see Robyn handle.
I really hope this happens and Robyn get pushed aside when he starts “courting” another woman
Honestly I hope he takes 2 new 22 year old wives in season 18 because Robyn has no idea what the other wives have been through. It's easy to be the young thin new wife.
I love how you can tell David is totally in love with his wife. He's always turned slightly into her and every time she talks he looks at her like he just knows that whatever she says is going to be funny and insightful. Even when it seems like there's some tension because they're tired or whatever he still brightens up every time she looks into his eyes. No he didn't pay me to write this comment, I just think it's really cute. It's really noticable when juxtaposed against Kody's relationship to his wives.

I was right there with you on “show affection” means sexually. Who is uncomfortable with holding hands? Nope. Exactly. And we don’t know how he is when he gets there. He stopped being with others when Robyn entered the pic. He had to keep up his strength for Robyn. So he’s crappy with the women and of course they’re upset and don’t want sex now. His planned worked but he tells Robyn they rejected him. All of that vile. He’s told Robyn some have stretch marks and weight gain, how else did she know.
What Christine meant by asking for his help was an incident from when Truly was a baby. 1. She had to go to work and begged, pleaded, and cried for Cody's help to "babysit" his own kid and he flat out said NO. Then ran off to be with Robin. Then the next time was when he finally did watch Truly so Christine could go to work he let poor Truly almost die. She laid on the couch for like 8 hours straight before Christine got home and seen something was wrong. She rushed Truly to the hospital against Cody's protests that she was fine. When she got to the hospital they told her that Truly would have had only hours left to live due to Kidney failure. Cody then said Christine has held it over his head ever since. BTW.... FUNNY that Robin says get in there and do the work to take care of your relationship, all the while being divorced!!! Also, Robin threw such a tantrum about buying the house they are in that when Cody forced her to go look at other homes she and her daughter would have "panic attacks" and make Cody carry them through the houses like babies. She demanded he buy the house they are in even when he pleaded with her that they couldn't afford it. As for her picturing the porch and rocking chairs.... She is picturing her and Cody.
Why didn’t Robyn mention to Kody how all the other kids felt rejected too? I mean as a mother you wouldn’t want your husband to reject his kids…
Christine asked that he tuck the children in while she was working instead of the oldest child having that responsibility and he said no he couldn’t.
I agree, also Part of the issue. he has the issue of always talking about the full picture (family) instead of focusing on one relationship or one marriage at a time.

I was raised Baptist, and there were quotes they threw at us constantly. They were like slogans. One I remember is "Every date is a potential mate." Kody is a product of the religion he was raised in, and he bought in completely.
If you go back into the earlier seasons and focus on the conversations between Robyn and Kody, especially when he is upset, she talks him up, like a pep talk, like when he and Meri disagreed over where to sit at the graduation, Robyn took Kody aside and said that this was his chance to be Meri’s “hero”. In this episode you hear Robyn telling Kody that he’s had it hard because so many are against him. She’s been stroking his ego for so many years, while the others have tried to tell him what the reality is, that it’s obvious that he would turn on them..
Robyn talking about the other wives and their weight gain, stretch marks etc..that is so personal. And stretch marks come from giving birth to 13 children!! No wonder there's no trust or intimacy from the other wives. I think his actions during this tell all will hurt his kids more than anyone else. I predict he'll lose the land as his ex's will receive their money directly from the show and it won't go into his bank acct. anymore. He fears poverty? Well, Kody better put big boy panties on and buckle his seat belt cause his nightmare's will be realized...and he can blame no one but himself. Well, Robyn will feel his pain, too!

The Covid situation was not a one size fits all situation. Each family should have been taken into account separately.
Sol and Ari are the only kids that Kody has ever referred to as the 'little kids'. Kody was trying to protect Sol and Ari only. He was not open to understanding the needs of each of this other kids and sister wives during this stressful period. BTW, Robyn's household including Sol and Ari got covid anyway. They say that it was brought into the house by one of Robyn's daughters. I suspect that it was more about Kody's own "only when it's convenient" covid rule behaviour. Note: Said daughter was not disowned or evicted from his house. Different households, different rules.

So I think the lack of help started back when Christine was taking care of all the kids, and was pregnant and working (maybe not pregnant?) and she wanted him to come tuck her kids in at night but he said he couldn't do it. Plus after Truely she suffered PPD and needed help and he instead got an additional wife and went on an almost 2 week honeymoon. I don't think she ever blamed him for Truely's dehydration situation (but I do).

I thought that customer comment was weird. Am I supposed to treat my husband like a customer? Sounds like a very transactional relationship. She blindly obeys and he pays for her and her kids. When in reality, the other sister wives really paid for all Robin’s house, $250 sandals etc.
That combined with the whole "the other wives weren't affectionate on demand" thing raises all the red flags.
I didn't get to this until today, and had to giggle at the end when you asked if Meri and Kody are still together... less than 24 hours later they released a joint statement saying their marriage is "officially terminated." :)

Re Robyn's house: She had to move from her rental, and she "wanted" another rental- and was praying for it. But the new rental had to be located where her kids didn't have to change schools, there were bedrooms for 5 bedrooms for the kids, etc. etc. etc. So, she's saying it wasn't her decision, but her criteria limited the choices to basically what they found. What is odd about not mentioning Meri is that the last 2 tell-all episodes discussed his possibly reconciling. What wasn't clearly asked of Robyn and Janelle was, "Did Kody tell you directly that he was considering reconciling with Meri." To not say that something like, I hope she finds happiness" is unexplainable, except to the extent that earlier in the season he indicated that he wanted her to help pay off CP.

When Robyn said some of the wives rejected Kody "affection-wise" I *think* she might have been talking about Janelle. I'm watching the early seasons for the first time and I recall Janelle saying she didn't like PDAs. I can imagine it would be awkward for her in front of all those TV cameras. And Kody seemed to be putting on an overly-affectionate show for the benefit of the cameras.
I agree she was referring to Janelle but the sexual part might be accurate as well. Kody was affectionate with all of them until Robyn was in the family for a while, he became less and less do over time. Thank you for saying that about the word “triggered”. It’s used far too much to get people to stop saying things (even when necessary) that make them uncomfortable.
I once told a family member who used that word too often that the time I had a full blown melt down in front of them and was hiding in the closet was me being triggered NOT them feeling uncomfortable for a moment.

She set herself financially from day one. Arizona is an alimony state. Liquidating the money just gives her half of whatever Kody has. She's probably terrified Christine and Janelle will want child support and Meri and Janelle won't bring in an income. She's done her research on divorcing for sure.
