    hello people, I have had lots of complaints that I'm putting up a bogus video. This video is for non profit, it's been uploaded for people who are interested in space exploration, rockets ect...
    There is no CGI in this video I have no reason to pull wool over people's eyes, it is what it is. If you don't like it, don't watch it if you are interested then proceed.

      That is correct, and also explains why there were no blast craters when they landed on the moon. No atmosphere, no direct plume straight down. Just a wide pattern of blowing dust which is what we see in all the moon landing videos.

    Notice how it's freezing on the outside of the rocket.

    • @gnualmafuerte
      @gnualmafuerte 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It is, but it's not noticeable, that's not the reason why you see ice buildup. That's because the rocket uses cryogenic propellant and oxidizer. That's why you see it on the main stage, but not on the boosters or the upper stage. The boosters use solid fuel, and the upper stage uses a hypergolic mixture, so both are stored at room temperature. The main stage though, uses cryogenic RP1 and LOX.

    • @topsecret1837
      @topsecret1837 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When the ice begins to vanish as the rocket enters space, that is due to the vaporization of the water to steam as the vacuum lowers the boiling point to below the freezing point, and the sun increasing the temperature of the ice enough to sublimate it. Water takes a lot of energy to boil or sublimate, though, which means a lot of the bigger chunks stay.

      @algol29 Obvious troll is obvious.

    • @gnualmafuerte
      @gnualmafuerte 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @algol29 Well, the answer to your question is very simple. The scientific community didn't "eliminate" ether "to make Einstein's theories work", but rather because it was complete nonsense.
      As to how rockets impulse themselves and turn, the answer is fairly simple: Newton's third law. You talked a bunch of nonsense about friction ... that's not how any of this works. You don't need to impulse yourself off of anything. Any action has an equal and opposite reaction. Rockets shoot gas out very fast, and the equal and opposite reaction to that is the rocket moving in the opposite direction of the gas coming out of it. In order to point where they want to go, some use gimbaling (ie, moving the engine nozzle, so the gas shoots out in a different direction, altering the rocket's direction), or they use RCS thrusters, basically tiny ports that shoot out compressed nitrogen, thereby applying a force on the rocket through the same principle.
      Simple enough?

    • @tapeloop9398
      @tapeloop9398 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @algol29 LAWS of motion are not "bound to Earth". There isn't a caveat that says * oh this only works in an atmosphere. That isn't how LAWs work. Equal and opposite. Fire a gun in a vacuum chamber. Would you feel recoil or not? Of course you would. Friction is counter to motion.

      My best proof of a globe shaped Earth is that if it were flat and the sun and moon hovered above this flat disc, they sun and moon would start off very small in the sky each day and night and as they move through the sky they will get bigger and bigger until they are as directly above you as possible. After that, when they start moving away they would get smaller and smaller until they disappeared. They do not do this. They stay the same size and even look larger as they come up or go down sometimes and this is not possible with the flat Earth theory. Also, a lunar eclipse is impossible. A lunar eclipse happens far more often than a solar eclipse. The Earth's shadow on the moon. If both su nand moon hovered above the disc, how do we have a lunar eclipse? A solar eclipse would still be possible, but not a lunar eclipse because the sun would have to somehow get to the other side of the disc which would make it night time all over the world at the same time, cast the shadow and then hop back over to the proper side. I can't believe this is something that people even think about these days. I almost wonder if the government pays these so called flat Earth people just to start shit so we will never all be able to work together. It was probably the government that started all this flat Earth bullshit lol. People are so fucking dumb. A little bit of logic is all it takes to know the planet isn't flat, but they must not be capable of that. I love how they say we should question everything and not just blindly follow the "globe Earth bullshit" yet they blindly follow something as fucking stupid as the Earth being flat. We are failing as a species lol. Maybe we should've blown up the planet and started over from scratch.

I can see with my cheap telescope that moon is 1000% globe, because it have curvy shadow (disc will never have curvy shadow), i can see Mars with my telescope, its like a ball not disc. Saturn, it really has a ring that go around it.. if its not a ball or globe, the ring will not be like that. Etc. So, why only earth is flat if other planets are like a ball you dumb dumb? thats more than enough proof! except for an unsound mind people.
      I climbed many mountain in my country (Mt. Lawu, Mt. Slamet, Mt. Salak, Mt. Rinjani, etc.) if i see the horizon, it really curvy not flat!!! thats a proof.
      My father have a yacht, so twice a month i ride it and once i see a tanker ship goes by with my binocular, the bottom is gone first, are you telling me that sea is flat?
      Commercial airplane (the simplest).. you can see it with your fucking own eye that the horizon is not flat. its curvy.
      Flat earth? wheres the proof? man, i think you are being serious.. not joking. I suggest you to go to a doctor to check your damaged brain.

    For on the screen now was a strange sight, a great pallid plain of stone… the edge of the plain flashed with the brightness of light on water, light across a distant sea. The stone plain was no longer plain but hollow, like a huge bowl full of sunlight. As he watched it grew shallower, spilling out its light. All at once a line broke across it, abstract, geometric, the perfect section of a circle. Beyond that arc was blackness. This blackness reversed the whole picture, made it negative. The real, the stone part of it was no longer concave and full of light but convex, reflective, rejecting light. It was not a plain or a bowl but a sphere, a ball of white stone falling down in blackness, falling away. It was his world.

    Nothing against this particular video, I've watched like 5 now, but Is there ANY video someone can point me to that shows continuous travel (no cuts) from earth to space and then keeps going long enough to see the entire globe? Why do all of them stop at low altitudes where you can't actually see the whole thing?

    • @willoughbykrenzteinburg
      @willoughbykrenzteinburg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no vantage point from which you can see the whole entire Earth. At best, you could only see half of it. To answer your question, the overwhelming vast majority of these launches that have footage are going into low Earth orbit. We don't launch rockets directly into higher orbits than this. They first get into low Earth orbit, and when systems are checked and other processes are completed, they then do more burns to place things destined for higher orbits into those orbits later.
      So, what you see in all rocket launches are payloads being put into low Earth orbit. The radius of the Earth is about 3,960 miles. Most things we put into low Earth orbit are at about 250 miles away. This is the equivalent to being a quarter inch away from a basketball. How much of that basketball can you see from a quarter inch away?

To me that doesn't seem to be much to ask for and with all that money funded into it I am surprised no space agency has proven it just to shut the flat earthers up... One need only look at the ludicrous FE model most commonly cited by FErs to see a literally glaring problem. The sun is shown as a spotlight source. There are no known existing spotlight sources in the universe. In addition, it could be night on flat world but the sun would still be visible even if the observer is on the opposite edge of flat world. There is a reason the sun is said to be 3,000 miles high and 32 miles in diameter. Those are the figures required to make the sun appear roughly the same diameter no matter where and observer on flat world is. Not to mention a spotlight source had to be invoked in order to light the Earth partially. Otherwise, there would be no night.

    • @ljdean1956
      @ljdean1956 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Andrew Jackson: Sunspots do not make the sun a spotlight. The sun illuminates any object in whatever direction said object (Planet, moon etc.) happens to be in it's orbit, making it omnidirectional. Sunspots are relatively few and far between. Spotlights are sources such as flashlights or studio lights. They have large parts of their light source mechanically obscured to point in a certain direction. The Earths weather is the reason for variations in temperature. Furthermore, there are plenty of places where the temps are so cold like Antarctica, that it could actually be opposite in terms of temperature. Other problems with flat world include eclipse problems. The most commonly cited flat world with the sun and moon travelling in the same orbit at the same altitude is this. Solar eclipses would be impossible because the moon would collide with the sun. Lunar eclipses would also be impossible because the Earth never passes between the sun and moon as it does in an actual lunar eclipse. Even if the Earth did pass between the sun and moon as it does in other FE models, the eclipse would be visible all over flat world. Real lunar eclipses are not visible around the entire planet. An example would be the upcoming July 27, 2018 lunar eclipse visible From Europe, Africa, the Mideast and other nearby countries, but not the US, Canada etc. Here's more. The space station has been photographed by amateur astronomers globally. This would not be possible in flat world because the space station was built with a spherical body in mind. I realize your FE beliefs may be Biblically based. But here's the problem with that. The Bible refers or alludes to 3 different Earth shapes. Job 26:7 alludes to a spherical Earth. Revelation 7:1 and Isaiah 11:12 says Earth has 4 corners. Spheres and discs do not have corners. I was unable to find the passage that suggests Earth is a disc. But even if there was such a passage, which one of these is correct? I suspect the disc shape came into existence because someone long ago realized the shape of Earths shadow during a lunar eclipse indicates a spherical Earth. So a disc was invoked to explain the shadow away. But FE proponents failed to explain what I bring up here. I have plenty more but this post is getting lengthy.

      Are you making a joke? Either answer can be as accurate as you'd like. The math for km to m is much more simple. Without a calculator, there are 333 1/3 metres in 1/3 of a kilometre.
      How many inches are in 1/500th of a mile. Anyone can do the metric equivalent without a calculator. Answer is 126 ft 8 21/32" to the nearest 1/32 of an inch which is not only a pain to calculate, but also difficult to type.
      The problem with Imperial is which units to use? decimal miles? decimal feet? decimal inches? 1/32 inches? thousandths? a combination of the above? There need be no distinction in metric: To change units you simply move the decimal place.

Usually, if a person were to say something you consider preposterous you simply move on. Taking the time to viciously attack an individual with a different view shows they may have a dog in the fight. I think we can all agree there are things we don't understand while discussing earth. Instead we're shown models and told to deny what our eyes show us. For example, we can't dig past the crust of the earth but we've all seen the mantle and the core in science books. I for one think we should question everything. That's science.

The flatearthers are married to their belief and can't let go, so when confronted with undeniable proof like this, they take it personally and that leads to people calling others names. The most insulting part about the comments from the flatearthers is they try to deny the reality they are seeing with their own eyes.
      99.9999999999999% of them didn't think the earth was flat when this video came out. Now that they believe earth is flat, look at all the commotion they started.

They are low on knowledge too and they say foolish things as a result of believing things by emotion. Emotion has no place in the scientific world. They are disputing a scientific matter from an emotional point of view.
      What else can you expect but chaos.
      Take you as an example. Your comment is reasonable and calm but if you believe the Earth is flat, then my comment will eat at your belly. The name calling and vicious reaction to flat Earthers is actually a predictable response. This holds true regardless of the true shape of the Earth so let's disregard that for the moment.
      We have all been conditioned and programmed since we were in kindergarten that the earth is round. I use the term programmed because regardless of any intention, that is the effect. It is a core belief that we all grow up believing is unquestionable and absolutely true. Our minds believe this on the level of something that cannot change sort of like the fact that water is wet and fire is hot. I say that we are programmed because that's what it is. A belief has been woven into our minds to the extent that it is unthinkable that the belief might not be true.
      Bear with me, this is psychological part. The brain and our personalities have a built-in reaction whenever a core belief of this type is questioned. Our brain knows how important this belief is to our overall system of belief. It is akin to "well if THIS isn't true then WHAT ELSE that I hold dear might not be true!" The reaction is one of anger and ridicule in the form of an attack. This is why practically every so-called "discussion" you will ever see will either immediately or very quickly devolve into name calling and other personal attacks. It is usually on the part of the globe Earth person in the discussion. This has nothing to do with the intelligence or maturity level of the globe Earth person. It is because it is the core belief of the globe Earther that is being challenged and thus their brain that is taking the protective action and causing the emotional response. The flat Earther may reciprocate in the name calling based on their age and maturity level but they rarely, if ever, instigate it. No matter how strongly they may believe their flat Earth theory, it is almost certainly a newly acquired belief and not one that has been nurtured since birth practically. The flat Earther has usually already come through some sort of struggle with belief or facts through research on their journey and confronted the emotions connected to a core belief being disproven. These emotions and the defense mechanisms that the brain uses to try and protect them would come to the defense in this same manner of any core belief that was central enough to our being. Think of it like in the Matrix movie when Neo was first told of the Matrix. He didn't believe it, it couldn't be true. He was disoriented. He was angry. They thought his brain might explode from trying to fathom it all. On a smaller scale, that's the reaction we humans have to a core belief being questioned. This is true regardless of the shape of the Earth. It's human psychology. Research it. Look at the comments in flat Earth videos or articles. You won't find any lengthy scientific or factual discussions. It's just a bunch of name calling over how stupid, uninformed, uneducated or whatever someone must be to hold a certain belief. If you are not invested in either side of the argument it is quite a curious thing to observe. Anyhow, my point was to address why there is so much name calling in discussions of this topic. Bottom line is that it is a self preservation response of the human psyche trying to protect a core belief. It is entirely subconscious and beyond the awareness and control of the person experiencing it.
      You will have to decide the shape of the Earth for yourself. I have no desire to enter that debate. My brain might explode after all.

      Keith Preston salute to you humanoid brother beautiful choice of words on such a controversial topic!

      Keith Preston: Oh great, very diplomatic of you! Everyone listen to that, we get to decide the shape of the Earth for ourselves! Forget all the learned history, all the science, all the hard work that astronomers, astrophysicists, physicists, astronauts, engineers, etc of past and present have put into amassing and growing our global knowledge base. Forget the hard work these leaders of industry and academia have done to inform and advance modern society for we get to DECIDE THE SHAPE OF THE EARTH FOR OURSELVES!!
      My money is on square.
      PS. Regardless of your belief that FE'ers state of (lack of) knowledge is a "self preservation response of the human psyche trying to protect a core belief" is no excuse for an adult to deny reality when presented with copious amounts of evidence and provable truths. We are essentially treading into the territory of mental illness at this stage.

      Jonathan Shaw No, that is not science. The name calling comes from the absurdity of what FE jackholes are proposing. Like saying we don't walk on two legs.

    why does the exhaust flame etc from the rocket get wider and burn less as it gets higher?

    • @MrxFivexAlive
      @MrxFivexAlive 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +LiLJRAE Less air pressure.

    • @Blaze6108
      @Blaze6108 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      +LiLJRAE It burns less higher up because free flames can only form when there's oxygen outside to feed them. Once the oxygen stops being there due to high altitude combustion can no longer be sustained outside the engine's own combustion chamber, so it's no longer visible.

      Science and space are two very complicated concepts for flat earthers. Their brains can’t process facts so instead of trying to learn, they prefer to believe some asinine conspiracy theory and fall right in line with the cult.
