As a born again KORN fan at the age of 43; I never really got into them when I was younger. This song was my fav. Now every single song. WoW! My fav band now ever. Deep emotional and philosophical as well. Now I just need to see them live! 🔥 🤘
yeah except with no david and his style you wouldnt have their OG sound which IMO is way better and what made me a fan back in 1996, ill take this over new korn any day.
@@EX7RUD1CON Maybe because they're old and over the hill? David's playing isn't very difficult or technical, and Ray could play that stuff note-for-note easily enough (he's a session musician after all) but that's obviously not what the band want him playing, or perhaps not what he wants to play. I understand people liking the more stripped-back sound, but I prefer Ray's drumming any day, but I'm into stronger metal, and to my ear, they sound like much more of a real, heavier, metal band.
Ray's tempo and drum sound are way off. David was crucial. I can't listen to Ray's drumming, he sounds sloppy and slow. Not saying he is bad, i technically he is great, but imo he doesn't fit that well.
@@mtchl8 He needs to speed up for a couple of songs but that should be simple feedback, if only Korn would give it. He's more than capable of that -- amateurs usually play too quickly, not the other way around. But sloppy? Hell no. Ray is a session musician who is as tight as it gets. David makes Lars sound tight -- he has the sloppiest timing of any major label band I've ever heard. It's absolutely embarrassing.
@@johnknight9150If you knew anything about Korn you’d know that original sound wasn’t about timing or perfect playing, the sloppiness was intentional that’s what gave their sound the edge and the unique feel
People saying David should come back need to go listen to his other band he started a few years ago its trash. Ray is a great drummer and has filled his spot and then some. They dont need David anymore
Silveria knew how to be part of the song, as opposed to pulling every trick from the drummer’s book to stand out. Watching recent performances from KoRn is so cringe with the overdone double-kick and cheesy fills every couple of seconds. Jay turned the atmospheric, gloomy, and powerfully groovy songs, into lousy, robotic, upbeat, chores to listen to.
I totally agree! More than that, i watched live Ray over the years. In the beginning he played +-David’s parts, but now he is doing completely different. As you mentioned the worst thing is to overcomplicate good drum part.
I 150% agree. David is/was way more solid/precise with their songs. I'm a drummer and all the flashiness/fills Ray does in their songs is completely unnecessary and not KORN'S sound. Even when he was trying to duplicate David's drumming I still thought David is more solid and I honestly don't like when another drummer tries to duplicate what another drummer already played/did and then to add all the flashy shit just like he's trying to prove he's the more technical drummer or something. I'm pro David all the way. Do I think Ray is a phenomenal drummer..... Absolutely but David is KORN'S sound and solid as f**k with KORN
There will never be music like this again. Thank God I grew up during this era
When I was kid around 2000, my brother gave me a Korn CD and the first song I liked was Falling away from me❤
Man…I was twelve when I heard this song for the first time in my life ;) it was long time ago…❤🎉
Fieldy beating his bass like it owes him money.

Bring back David. No one hits the snare like him

Man, Ray's a tight drummer. David really helps me appreciate it.

@@colinesplen2518 clearly not otherwise he would still be there if he was the best lol
Going to see first time September 21 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Peak KoRn!
David Silveria's drum technique
What about it?
@@Ih8liarsandusersjust brillant
Yep.. that technique.. switches times throughout the entire song🙄 He was already toast by the time they filmed this.
@@smahring lol tell me three moments he did that during this song to educate us, please
Yep, way more groove than Ray will ever have. Ray’s great but it’s like Jay vs Eloy.
Cuando KoRn usaba bajo.. ahora una niña toca el bajo
De mis temas favoritos del Nu Metal de siempre. Grandes

Korn never be the same without Silveria
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What year was it?
2002
🖤
🤘🤘
Por el baterista y la gente disfrutando del show y no a través de sus celulares, este video es de hace 10 años, creo yo
Es del 2002
I’m just wondering how this is exclusive footage? This concert happened in 2002 and the DVD has been around for just as long
Fu 2:27 cking video perfect!!! Master Built....
👌👌👌
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽😬
😇
When was this?
What year is this?
Korn ended when Silveria left. He was a huge part of their sound.
Someone haven't heard Serenity of Suffering
Whatever happened to silveria no one hasn't heard from him in a long ass time
@@aerial4578 i tried man, its absolutely not the same
I disagree. The band has evolved from those days, but never did they lost their touch
WIth Silveria in the fold, that was Korn's glory years. Post Silveria, Korn was never the same.
People saying David should come back need to go listen to his other band he started a few years ago its trash. Ray is a great drummer and has filled his spot and then some. They dont need David anymore
Wait… Is Dave back in the band?!?
When was this? Is that Dave??!!

David Silveria.

This performance is very old, where is Mr. Ray??? Michael...
Which year is it? 2001?

🙂
🤘🏽🌽🔥
When they had a good drummer
This is sloppy AF. David has no time centre. Hell, Lars is a tighter drummer than this.
A ja chciałbym tam być ale niestety nie mogłem

David is korn
Ray is batter
Pretty dead crowd from when I saw them a few years back there.
Davis smh vocals suck bru
I now know how edited your music is man smh
Nothing like chester. She’s trying to imitate chester’s style but doesn’t give it justice
