I'm a producer and i have to say i couldn't agree with you more .. That scream in particular has so many overtones and harmonics.. You woudlnt even think that was humanly possible without a backing track. It's genuinely incredible. Chester was an absolute rarity and his memory will be cherished forever. RIP Brother.

since 2years i listen to lp addictively and his screams always gave me goosebumps but this one is too much for me. He literally sounds like possesed :p. Anyways the performance at rock am ring in 2004 was sooo sick, i literally regret that i wasnt born sooner just to go their concerts.

I think that the shot at 2:29 is my favorite Chester's shot of all time. Rock am Ring has its unique features like some amazing screams and more close interactions with the audience, but everything in Live in Texas is perfect. All the songs was FLAWLESS. You go and listen to Faint (played on this concert) you really can't tell yourself if it's studio or not. This concert is the ABSOLUTE PEAK of Linkin Park.

That whistle/witch scream/ vocal Chester does starting at 0:41 is mind blowing. It’s like this ambient haunting vocal that he some how found the perfect place for, it just felt right and added a whole new layer of intensity to the song.

@@ThePWM777 Its a simple inhale scream. Most people don't do them because you can hurt your voice really badly with inhale screams. My older brother called it a pterodactyl scream because you can go very loud and high with them. Like hurting your ears screeching level of high. You are basically yelling while at the same time inhaling a lot of air.

I was at this concert, and this specific song has always stayed with me. I was a huge LP fan and was 13, and I was snuck into the concert by my uncle and older sister. Chester sounds, whispers, and screams from this song have never been the same. But I've never heard this from him in any other performance of this song since.

The Linkin Park group is unreal music, verses are similar to rap, choruses are similar to hard rock. And Chester's part with a whisper - words cannot express how cool it is, to the point of hoarseness
This is the single greatest live performance of any song ever, as far as I'm concerned. Complete subjectivity, but to this day I have never watched or heard anything that's gotten anywhere close to having the same impact on me.
