Partner came in while I was doing these, watched for a while then said: 'How can you do something so boring for so long?' It's only boring if you don't work right and with focus. If you work right, you've got a thousand things to think of at the same time and it's not boring, it's a challenge.
Thank you very much! Did these exercises on pointe after ballet class and haven’t had pointe shoes on in a long time. I will continue to do your videos to gain my strength back ~ especially love starting slow and gaining strength and confidence 🙏🏻🩰😍
Thank you!!!! I saw your videos from my house in Madrid during quarantine and it has been a great surprise to see you uploaded a new one!! I used to take ballet class on pointe and now I am trying to get the strength back!! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you very much. Your videos have been very useful to me, they are an inspiration for my classes. I teach ballet to girls between 16 and 18 years old in a school specialized in training future professional dancers. Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you so so so much for making this video. I’m a mature adult student beginner, watching you giving corrections&reminders actually helped me learn and understand what I ought to be doing and reduce risk for injuries - as I’m no longer young, I get lots of knee pain learning ballet...Recently I feel tear at the arch of my foot when I land from jump/step to push releve for pique turn practice, and I can’t figure out why
Thank you so much for your beginners videos. I’m an adult beginner pointe student with one year of pointe training after a year and a half of pre-pointe training. A question re: rises at the barre- my teacher has us eleve to sixth en pointe (with straight legs)- we don’t ever plié and role up in sixth. I’m a bit confused as to why. Are you able to explain?
Thanks for sharing these exercises and things to look out for. Have tried a few exercises with my students and when working in 6th position, I have some students who can keep the knees together, but when they go to full pointe, the heels separate (due to large calf muscles or thighs). What would be the best way to maintain proper alignment so they don’t sickle?

Love your videos! Do you have any tips for strengthening for pointe work outside of class?
Hi of course you can work with a Thera band but nothing is better than actual pointe work and lots of releves

most important trying to keep heel together if knee can't stay together.
Thank you for the video. I have a quick question; is the banana position the same one used for hops en pointe?
Yes exactly that is what its for
