@@turtlepetal sometimes I forget to look in the mirror all day because I'm super lazy at doing make up or just to check up on my face. I always think that my face is still look the same as the day before so why bother checking it again? 😁
I mean, I like looking at myself in the mirror if I feel like it. but out of confidence or to try and accept the flaws my body inevitably comes with, just like every other body. and unless I am trying on clothes, it usually lasts a few minutes at best.

I love that Dr.Patel says that fillers are becoming so common, like making a hair appointment. It’s so relevant and refreshing that a doctor acknowledges this.
Star Cherry The core insecurity hasn’t changed but I think social media and a general rise in living conditions (more free time/disposable income) have really worsened the problem.
Pigmented Hoe yeah social media is promoting an ideal of perfection that literally no one has, not even the person who appears in the photos. It's creating insecurities in young women who don't fully accept themselves and selling the idea that lip injections or Botox are going to solve their problems, but spoiler alert, they won't
Lauren..yep....lets throw out our TV...Stop buying magazines and fuck off social media....before our kids/grandchildren become victims of Greed and Vanity....x
Same . I gave up on instagram and twitter . There are so many toxic beauty standards there and gives us pressure to look like THE TREND . But facebook ? Ive reducing my use of it because it makes me communicate with my friends :)
@카르멘Carmen girl... I must tell you this Please DO NOT do more plastic surgery. It can be very dangerous and korea's beauty standards are way too high... And only values one kind of beauty. Everyone can be beautiful if they take good care of themselves... You don't need to change your face to be truly beautiful. The "beautiful" korean and western societies have created is around money making. They create your insecurities to then profit out of them... Think of it this way: When did you start disliking your facial features? Probably when someone told you they were ugly... It's all in the society. Not only monetarily but also in terms of power. Companies like that put their customers down if they don't get plastic surgery like "you need a nosejob to be pretty!" is what the ads tell us indirectly for example. Let's all try to achieve natural, true beauty :) don't let your unique features and health be lost. Love ya
Lotta John Instagram is the best way to compare yourself to everyone else who is dedicated to beauty industry and then feel like shit because you are not that way. Or compare yourself to your friends because they have more followers and you don't. It is pretty sick.

My lips were shrinking (due to anorexia).Time passed, I grew up and took therapy I became confident, my lips stayed small, I wanted to feel better with my fuller lips. @@hashbites If you want to look good for yourself, its okay. But, if you want to change just to fit in the social media standards, then that person needs to go to psychologist.
A Williams I think that there have also been procedures where men go to get surgery done on their pectorals to make them look larger/buffer, and end up with a botched surgery where unnaturally large breast implants have been used. I remember their was an actor that went through this and the doctor (who actually had lost his license) ended up going to jail. Also VenusAngelic, a culture TH-camr, had a gastric bypass to alter her physique in which was also botched. Although it’s not plastic surgery I thinks it important to mention since the black market surgeon actually stole two of her organs.
Yes I’m v curious! This guy I went to high school with started getting lip injections and it’s like he doesn’t know how to stop now, his lips are about to reach outer space 👽
I don’t understand why everyone wants lip injections their lips always look oddly swollen and don’t even look nice 🙁 And that girl with 800 followers is she okay ?
ANNIHILATOR I don’t think it’s that people have forgotten how to cope with insecurities, i would say they never learned how in the first place. There’s now 2 generations that have become accustomed to instant gratification. I’m a bit older, and to be honest, the expectation to look perfect is even beginning to affect me as I begin to see early signs of aging. I’m in my 40’s but have good genetics as well as a history of taking really good care of my skin. I have also spent the last 10+ years of my life battling chronic illnesses and feel that I lost a huge portion of my youth, which creates added pressure to look even better and younger. I challenged myself yesterday morning by sending a selfie right after I had just woken up (no makeup or filters) to my long distance soulmate whom I’ve known for 22 years but haven’t seen in person for a really long time (its really complicated). However, I’m not sure I could have mustered up the courage if it were anyone else.
ANNIHILATOR That's a point! Its so sad because fixing one problem will then result in another problem and it will go on and on until you actually just stop and tell yourself its alright to look how i look and accept it. Instagram is addicting but we must always remember it's not real life people only show what they want you to see which is the best side of them ☺️
Small lips, big lips they are all pretty, it would be bad if we all had the same lips, what if the whole world had big lips?, we should learn to love ourselves instead, love every part of your body the way it is, that part makes you unique. This is really sad, because even if you get injections you'll never be fully satisfied with your looks,
G. Aloysie true, I’ve seen that in social media that people with big lips get a lot more attention and are called beautiful even if the lips are fake or not, it makes people who are viewing those things think that they must look like that to be beautiful but it’s not true
Like the documentary lady’s lips is so beautiful but not in the mainstream way. I do agree, we are individuals and that is so interesting and beautiful!
this is one of the MANY reasons why i deleted instagram. i wasted so many hours comparing my life to others. even though what people share on instagram isn’t real. it’s done wonders for my mental health.
Brendons Forehead some of them were confused and told me to make another account. but after explaining it to them they understood why i did it. and even if they don’t fully understand it’s not like you can force someone to be on instagram.
mel what did you do instead of being on social media? When o got nothing to do I go on social media and I'm bored quite often since its vacation and I'm staying home again
people thinking u r weird if you arent on social media forces everyone to have social media presence :/ They prefer to look at ur profile and pictures and think they know everything about you. I only use snapchat because it's 100% my friends not some insta celebrities everywhere
Side effect...possible blindness?!!!!! I would never take that kind of risk. Also, I don't understand why this isn't regulated or how someone can practice this without finishing his residency; I would never trust that person.
Same, that doctor scares me, and I wonder why would someone with tonnes of money not go to someone better, anyway? Also I get skeeved-out watching the needles go in the lips. >.
do you know what a residency is? He finished school....but you have to spend time working at a hospital under other doctors supervision....basically just practicing what you learned. Its not like hes performing major surgeries, hes doing injectables for pete sakes....and hes had a ton of practice.....hes a pro.
@@YourMajesty143 if you truly saw past appearance you’d know that all that is is appearance. She appears a certain way in this video but it’s only a slice of her. Thing is ,genetically some mouths are not meant to be bigger or fuller because it doesn't work with other facial features , but of course still doesn't stop people
Exactly that's why it doesn't look natural, esp when someone get's a nose job, it artificially alters the structure of the face, not how it should look naturally. Nose is then out of proportion with the rest of the face. Like that TIffany woman has picked peter pan's nose out of a catalogue or is it Michael Jackson's :)
I got quite big lips for a whiter skinned girl but that’s because I’m mixed. I got the big lips but also got small slanted eyes like the Native Americans. Now you got these girls who have these huge eyes getting their lips done and being able to have both. Nah nah, if I can deal with my small eyes you can deal with your small lips
Wow I had no idea doctors weren't required to finish their residency! I'd definitely only go to a Board Certified cosmetic surgeon that finished their residency lol I would never pick a surgeon based on the Kardashians! Loving the Shady series!
talent is inborn, skill is learned. Whether a surgeon has finished his residency or not, a really good surgeon will always be known and always stand out.
He started his residency at UCLA which is incredibly competitive and maybe he wasn't getting as much "hands on" opportunity, but I don't get why he would just scrap it altogether. Why not just do your residency somewhere else? Weird.
Blair Aria Van der Kamp ... why is that horrifying? Most nurses perform routine procedures all the time...not doctors. Go to any regular hospital, the floor is usually run by RNs. Greys Anatomy is a lie...doctors don’t tend to be very present.
Actually this is kind of stupid but I didn’t realize people edited photos.. I always thought why everyone’s skin is so smooth, bright flawless and my skin never looked like that. Now I know.. helps you feel better about yourself
Even if you do not deliberately edit the photos, it's pretty common now for phone cameras to automatically "beautify" you on selfie mode too :/ It's pretty hard to run away from filters now.
I can relate. A friend of mine introduced me to Instagram in 2012. It was to connect with friends and keep in touch. However, in 2016, I started dating someone, and I noticed my use of it started to change. It became about grabbing attention artistically or my physical appearance. I started looking at my body and face. Then I realized I was behaving like the individual I was dating. I even got the Facetune application to look more appealing and went to the gym daily loosing 40 pounds in 5 months. I started becoming discontent with myself, and depressed at times. I realized Instagram became an addiction that became more then what it was originally used for. I still like Instagram, but in moderation. Great relatable video.
I don't bother with social media because its too trendy and I'm not into trends! I'm content with reading and playing my match-3 games, though I did get a little too involved with that and I'm still feeling like an idiot. I've learned my lesson, though: any game that starts costing me money I'm unloading it!
Social media has drastically changed society and the worlds perception of beauty, riches, normality and life in general! If your not strong minded you’ll always be chasing an illusion..
huh, people have been chasing beauty literally forever. Look at chinese foot binding and corsets etc, it's human nature and not a new current phenomenon
Crazy how fake and hypocritical people are becoming. It starts with those annoying face-slimming Snapchat filters that makes people look like aliens with flowers on their head and now everybody wants their face to look that that in person. Wish they would just be comfortable with their appearance without a filter.
People who are obsessed with themselves never developed any talents or skills and therefore fall back onto cheap and empty entertainment. Like social media and vanity.
If they spent a fraction of that time learning how to play an instrument or painting or gardening or...these fake people have got to be the most boring people to talk to. I’d rather be old and wrinkly with some personality rather than someone who just wants to have pictures taken of themselves. Sad world.
If someone wants to look good they should EAT and EXERCISE. That’s the natural way to do it, by eating food that is good for you and eating enough calories, and by doing moderate exercise you can be healthy. You don’t need fancy procedures or luxury products to be healthy
Those people are usually very insecure. Listen to the blonde woman (not the reporter, the other one) in the video, especially at the end. She’s clearly not happy.
The blonde white girl they kept showing made me feel disgust and then pity for her. It's sad that this is my generation; with everything happening in the world.
Christine it’s ok you don’t have to pity me. I am disappointed too because there was six hours of footage and many important topics were discussed. Unfortunately they painted me in a very one dimensional light :/
Ashley Karges It's amazing what editing can do. Even though you may have said those things, I'd imagine they were either taken out of context, or only one point of view was displayed. I'm so sorry. That's the wrong idea that I got. I'm sorry for all the misinterpretations and hate coming your way :/
I still feel wary about cosmetic surgeries despite the stigma diminishing slowly. Also as someone with thicker / fuller lips, most of the time the results don't look great to me, they look like ducks. I understand the argument is "As long as they are happy, that's all that matters", this just seems like such an unsettling future. It's teaching girls and boys that it's easier to just get surgery than to learn how to love yourself.
This is what we called "instant generation" in my country. Most of young people just want everything instant, not wanting to experience the process and take the lessons from it.
My thoughts as well. It makes me worried that we'll turn into places like S Korea, and suddenly this procedures will almost be required for many jobs and such. Its worrying.
@@elenamancheva9961 you don't understand. Today the standard is looking like a doll or having huge lips. Tomorrow they are gonna change the trend to thin lips. Beauty trends change with time. It doesn't mean that people will keep on changing their features too. Also don't you think it's lame that everybody wanna have the same features? Like the word uniqueness will lack a meaning.
tok tube I’ve seen doctors that say everyone in the building has gotten work done. I saw it in a video where Gabbie Hanna goes to get stuff done and she says everyone in the building is so beautiful and the doctor says “we all get work done here” or something along those lines.
Plenty of plastic surgeons get procedures done. I personally know more than a few (no I've never had plastic surgery) people who are in the surgery/injections area and they get them done. They just A) aren't as obsessive as a lot of people online are and B)know exactly how to toe the line and look natural.
I haven’t used it in 2 weeks because I’m focusing on school and I thought I would miss it. I don’t. I actually feel much more confident. On Instagram I would just be comparing myself, every aspect of myself, to everyone else. I think I’m only going to get on to post things once in a few months or something but I’m definitely not going on for half an hour or more
I'm 25 and i deleted all my social media in 2012. People my age are starting to have a hard time connecting with people in person; they feel more comfortable communicating through their phones or computers. We need to change that before it gets worse.
do whatever you want to your face, but make sure it’s for you and not for others. i am personally against plastic surgery, because of how many celebs have it and post themselves on social media, causing young girls like me to feel very insecure. it makes people seem perfect when really the features we admire on them are fake/altered. but, i think that even though IM against it, that doesn’t mean others should be. love yourselves.
I think it's because she brands herself as a person who wouldn't be relevant if she wasn't as "pretty" as she is now, that's why she's so fixated in keeping them.
I almost did the other day just to see more content from a local artist but for some reason it wouldn't let so I gave up and now that I've seen this and I remember who owns insta (facebook), I'm really glad! ( ˘ ³˘)♡ phew dodged a bullet.
People, there’s beauty in imperfections. Some people looked too made up, it’s not beautiful. The sad truth, I had a friend that’s obsessed with Botox, once she used it she have to use it periodically, it can be costly. Picture, blown up balloons. Once the air is let out does it ever goes back to its normal shape? The sad truth, you’ll look even older then before. The look is temporary dolled up but comes with consequences lots of $$ down the drain. Practice eating right. Getting old is a part of life. Fine lines with beautiful real smiles and healthy body, mind and soul is a beautiful thing. Nothing fake about that.
I agree, thank god i don’t gotta get lip fillers because my lips are full, my butt is bootylicious, and i know my skin is beautiful because i always get compliments on it and i honestly don’t use any skin care products or makeup at all i just pluck and remove the hair on my face to prevent any acne or whatever and the only thing i would like is a breast lift, but that’s all, I’ve always been self conscious about my boobs, and my stomach too because after i had my baby boy it’s a bit loose and i would like to fix that, not for no one else but for me, to make me feel good you know? I don’t give a fuck about no ones opinion but i would love to see how my stomach used to be before i had my son
I feel bad for Ashley because I know what it’s like to be that obsessive with trying to turn myself into a pretty object. To call it “vanity” isnt just reductive, it’s a dismissal. Being undeniably pretty gives a woman a huge amount of social capital in our society, especially in circles like Hollywood, but really everywhere. We are only barely starting to tell women that their value as a person is separate from their physical appearance, and that message is hard to internalize in a world that gives you so much more praise and good will for being pretty than it does for being thoughtful, kind, strong, decisive, intelligent or tenacious. We cant fairly criticize these women - they are products of how we treat women. But at the same time part of me is super resentful that her life apparently consists of just sitting in bed staring at her own face all day while millions of people much smarter than her are struggling to survive
thepeacefish While it‘s definitely a product of society and that‘s sad, you can still choose not to go with what is expected of you. I feel like everytime you do something not because you feel like that‘s what YOU want but that‘s what‘s better for some reason or another, you loose a little part of yourself. You become a puppet, one little piece at a time. If you wanna invest in something, invest in trying to stay positive in a world that makes it very very hard sometimes to do so. Equally time consuming, but in the end you‘ll be happy and see that all these augmentations only bring you very superficial and momentary pleasure. I just recently really realized that, and changed my view. But it‘s like quitting an addiction. Once you‘re through, it sometimes wants to take you back, but looking at other addicts you will always think to yourself „that‘s exactly why I quit“.
Ashely is obsessive and needs help with her complete lack of identity. She needs therapy, so feeling sorry for her is probably the correct response. Her life isn’t fun, no matter how much money she has. I am much happier with a struggle that will help me know what my character is, and help me stay away from an obsessive impulse to look at Instagram like an emotionally neglected teenager(which she probably was). I know, I know, armchair psychologist, but seriously... No, don’t waste your time looking at Ashely and think- “I would of done better with her cards”, and resent a total stranger that is struggling mentally. You don’t know what happened in her life to make her like that.... my guess is: nothing good! Just because you have silk on your pillows cases and you hair is perfect, don’t make you better, and I don’t think she is pretending to be better, her mind is totally warped by social media and her image that she can’t even connect to no matter how many times she looks at it. TLDR: I am triggered and full of sadness for Ashely. Money doesn’t fix everything.
thepeacefish this was mind blowing. Thank you for your perspective. I actually thought the same of her, such a life of luxury to have the time to do what she does. But I’m grateful I don’t have her life.
the girl at the end who said 'I didn't edit my photo.. just did some facetune... like that IS editing your photo!!! Do people not see that as editing??
People say not to judge people just because they're getting work done because it's for their confidence and it's their business, and I do believe that but honestly, the message that you should love you how you look like gets diluted, my sister didn't have half the insecurities she had until she got Instagram. I personally don't think cosmetic procedures should be normalised at all, they're even showing TV ads for them now (not really done so much in the UK before), it's fine if you get them but the amount of hype it's getting on social media, it spreads the message that this is the standardised perception of beauty, so many people just look the same now
it's sad af that surgery is getting more and more normalised, because surgery still comes with implications and risks, (e.g. overdosing on anaesthetics, blindness was mentioned in the video etc. botched surgeries are a possibility). people end up more likely to risk their life for beauty than for another person.
couldn’t agree more with you. i usually never even check instagram because it doesn’t make me feel good. many friends were ok with how they looked, they got an ig account and months later they got plastic surgery. it’s not a good enviroment imo
jackie I know what you mean, yesterday I was looking at rhinoplasty websites before I realised what I was doing. Lip fillers are everywhere now, that's the insecurity my sister has, she wants them but she'd never wanted them before social media. She has normal lips, they're not particularly thin or disproportionate
Fiha Rani me too! i had never even thought about my lips having anything wrong with them until i compared them to other girls. there’s a lot of focus on appearances in social media
Sorry but I have not seen one girl that has gotten lip fillers which looks “natural” afterwards. Even the smallest amount makes your lips a weird shape and creates this unnatural shine which makes it obvious
You could definitely tell because they both looked like Bratz dolls. But maybe I'm just hyper aware of it because I worked in a mall right next to a plastic surgeon so many people would go shopping after their fillers. It started to get obvious when you see 20 different women walk by with the same lip shape and pout.
Joeyblondewolf2 Same. I think that just hammers home how irrational it is to have such an obsession. Less than a thousand followers and you look at Instagram every twenty minutes? That's ludicrous, you're letting something take over your life that isn't even fun.
wb she has a very sad life. I have 14.8k followers on Instagram and when I post a pic I forget about it lol I only go on my iPhone to post what I need and turn it off for a few days. My real phone is a flip phone with only text/call. I just use my iPhone like a tablet with wifi, and it's already paid for so its free 😃
What is scariest about any of this is not the procedures, etc. it's that some people are so self-obsessed, self-absorbed and distracted with worshiping themselves.
I don't think this is self worship. Self-worship would be imagining yourself to be perfect and worthy of praise... the sense I get from this is a lot of girls DON'T feel perfect and are looking for other people to validate them. That need for approval stems from a deep dissatisfaction, not from unconditional love.
Yes... and that's completely sad. But you gotta admit it's self worship because, well they are mostly aware that they will never get that validation they are seeking from others, so they have to keep getting it from themselves. But the inability to be statissfied with oneself pushes them to do what they keep doing... And I still can't quite put my finger on what induced (or better said enhanced) this global insecurity about physical look in young people (possibly social media). A global image of a prefection, where you'll feel secure and loved and approved by society if your physical features were looking identical to the idealised image you have in your head? Don't they realise that there is no "perfect". Was it always like this? This is a really serious matter not bound only to makeup and physical enhancements. It's mostly to do with young people and how society is changing towards this idea to utilise teenage and adolescent insecurities (that have always been there, just not this apparent) to make a business off of it. Kinda sickening, and you start asking yourself who is at fault there... but then this becomes a talk about free society and free will, so... I won't go there.
I agree, I think it's also good to point out though that this is not just affecting teens and young girls, but a lot of them are older women as well. Women of every age. I'm 29 years old and my self esteem has never been lower.
Yea there tactics don’t work on me tho I’m an esthetician we see thru it all and Simon ourian he’s not board certified he’s a general practitioner no board certification so please go do ur research
8:53 "they're nice and firm" says Simon Ourian. Me: "FIRM...they're not supposed to BE FIRM...lips are supposed to be soft and be able to move, not concrete firm!".
Natural sisters unite! I could never ever have cosmetic surgery! Even if I don't like certain features of myself sometimes, they're what make me me, and anything else wouldn't be right. It's my individuality.
I think it can look good, for example, I do think that Kylie Jenners lips look better after, but for a lot of people it doesn't look good, as smaller lips would suit their face better, and as lips with filler tend to look weirdly swollen
I think part of the reason why younger people are getting more involved with looks (for better or worse) is that a lot of celebrities we look up to (youtubers, IG models, etc.) feel more like friends. It's one of the ways that audience interaction can go wrong. While it's on the whole good, it also means that the things they recommend are more likely to be picked up. That can be fine, but when it comes to certain products (diet pills, "skinny teas", and cosmetic procedures), it can also be dangerous. After all, normal people will sell bunk products to make a buck, and online celebrities are still people.
The sad thing is that most people don't realize that there is no such thing as an ideal shape / size for facial features (eyes, lips, nose etc). It all depends on the natural features that you have. Some people who have naturally thin lips, for instance, actually look better with their natural thin lips than having them plumped up. Big lips aren't for everyone, it can make some people's face look unnatural & disproportionate.
I used to be like that blonde girl and honestly what's got me through it is the realisation that if I'm fixating that much on my appearance I HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS and I throw myself into some actual purposeful work!
I can easily go without social media/my phone and have idk how & why people my age are so obsessed with Instagram it gets boring after awhile. I'm 16 btw.

You should do a video on plastic surgery in Korea. It’s on a whole different level in Korea
YES!
Yup! shaving the jaw bone and such
@@RobloxGymnastics i thought they already did... oops, i've been watching a lot i guess. there are other good videos on the topic though.
South Korea has totally perfected it. When I see those patients, I’m in shock. Especially the ones on the makeover shows.
@카르멘Carmen girl... I must tell you this
Please DO NOT do more plastic surgery.
Love ya

They should do a segment on men and plastic surgery because it’s not being talked about but it’s been increasing so much in recent years
A Williams I think that there have also been procedures where men go to get surgery done on their pectorals to make them look larger/buffer, and end up with a botched surgery where unnaturally large breast implants have been used.

Same thing i thought

No, don’t waste your time looking at Ashely and think-
“I would of done better with her cards”, and resent a total stranger that is struggling mentally.
Call it what you want, it’s still low self-esteem - PERIOD!!!
Well-said
the girl at the end who said 'I didn't edit my photo.. just did some facetune... like that IS editing your photo!!!
I think the same, a lot of people with the same features, same faces and bodys
couldn’t agree more with you. i usually never even check instagram because it doesn’t make me feel good. many friends were ok with how they looked, they got an ig account and months later they got plastic surgery. it’s not a good enviroment imo
jackie I know what you mean, yesterday I was looking at rhinoplasty websites before I realised what I was doing.
In 200 years, they will look back at this and *laugh* ..... because in 200 years, we'll be injecting filler into our brains 😂😂😂
Rembrandt 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣
no we will
be robots
Sorry but I have not seen one girl that has gotten lip fillers which looks “natural” afterwards. Even the smallest amount makes your lips a weird shape and creates this unnatural shine which makes it obvious
Kendall Jenner and Dove Cameron looked pretty fine to me. I couldn't have told. The fillers didn't go much off the natural shape of their lips.
Seino Parks But yes, most of the time it's tell-tale.
Seino Parks YES
You could definitely tell because they both looked like Bratz dolls. But maybe I'm just hyper aware of it because I worked in a mall right next to a plastic surgeon so many people would go shopping after their fillers. It started to get obvious when you see 20 different women walk by with the same lip shape and pout.
TLMAP kendall and dove looked so obvious Kendall less than dove but dove deffo
It was a win for Jenner who made an empire with a trait she never had in the first place
This is so true
*This is sad that people go so far to look what society makes people believe is perfect*
Basically Olivia ikr it's so absurd
Yet once upon a time people shunned full lips like you and I.
Basically Olivia uh huh
They don't even have that many followers lol I was expecting in the millions lol
Joeyblondewolf2 lol right? That isn't even worth it lol
Joeyblondewolf2 Same. I think that just hammers home how irrational it is to have such an obsession. Less than a thousand followers and you look at Instagram every twenty minutes? That's ludicrous, you're letting something take over your life that isn't even fun.
Honestly, the girl with 800 followers sorta looks like she's obsessed with social media or something..
wb she has a very sad life. I have 14.8k followers on Instagram and when I post a pic I forget about it lol I only go on my iPhone to post what I need and turn it off for a few days. My real phone is a flip phone with only text/call.
I just use my iPhone like a tablet with wifi, and it's already paid for so its free 😃
ya alot of my friends have more followers than the first one and im 15
What is scariest about any of this is not the procedures, etc. it's that some people are so self-obsessed, self-absorbed and distracted with worshiping themselves.
Drea East Coast and they excuse it with “loving yourself”
Same thing im thinking
I agree, I think it's also good to point out though that this is not just affecting teens and young girls, but a lot of them are older women as well. Women of every age. I'm 29 years old and my self esteem has never been lower.
“What a rebellious act it is to love yourself naturally in a world of fake appearances.”
Can yall make more “shady” episodes please!! This is my favorite thing on youtube!
Repeat this everyday to yourself:
Love myself
Love yourself
You're an intellectual
BTS vibes
@@ijennamirabelosuji Yeah💜
And this is why I deleted all my social media accounts ... and never looked back! TBH it feels AMAZING not having any social media 😍
Seems like she can’t even smile...
I’m 100% natural and proud 💪🏽
Me too girlfriend let me shake my shimmy lolol😁😁😁
Natural sisters unite! I could never ever have cosmetic surgery! Even if I don't like certain features of myself sometimes, they're what make me me, and anything else wouldn't be right. It's my individuality.
Yes me too girlfriend
Me too!
Easy to brag about when you're naturally pretty. This comment just makes you look like a dick.
What's funny is you can always tell when people get their lips done and it's just not attractive. Big or small, natural lips are beautiful.
Yep. Lips injections are the worst thing anyone can do to themselves.
Ikr
I think it can look good, for example, I do think that Kylie Jenners lips look better after, but for a lot of people it doesn't look good, as smaller lips would suit their face better, and as lips with filler tend to look weirdly swollen
Yeah but a lot of them don't realize it! So weird.
yeah they don't seem to care that it's looks so unnatural and screams insecurity.
I love this series of shady videos. So eye opening and interesting.
Blank Face the series of videos is called shady.
Shady, please do a video on Korean plastic surgery!
Celestial exactly!!!
And the fake ones look fake, like most fake boobs.
Like Kylie
I used to be like that blonde girl and honestly what's got me through it is the realisation that if I'm fixating that much on my appearance I HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS and I throw myself into some actual purposeful work!
I also waste way too much time worrying about my looks and comparing myself to the women on social media. Im glad you changed!
Shoutout to all the people who are just happy with their “imperfect” self!❤️😍
Good grief... that girl was dreadful to listen to. So vapid sounding
Amanda Titus which one??
glad i’m not the only one
Alexis Burton the blonde with the short hair, not the host, she’s cool
And this is exactly why I deleted my social media..my life has been so much better since.
That girl is dense as lead
Rahul ismyname ikr
I can easily go without social media/my phone and have idk how & why people my age are so obsessed with Instagram it gets boring after awhile. I'm 16 btw.
Same here.
Same
