- I evaluate a Lot of retro games in real time, pricing it out, deciding what I want to keep and how much I think it's all worth. Then I decide on my max bid and attempt the snipe the auction in the final seconds. Will I win, get outbid, or even get a fair price? This was a lot of fun! Really enjoyed hearing your thought process, and my adrenaline was pumping at the end. I've half certain the circle at the end of the auction is just eBay's dopamine gimmick. Also thumbs up for sniping manually, the old school way. Code of the gladiators.

This was good fun, and Pete, you've GOT to play Toadstool Tour; it starts off as a pretty run of the mill but charming arcade golf game but the further your progress the more Mario themed it becomes, and it gets legitimately quite difficult, TONS of content.
That ad-break at 1 second left. What a cliff-hanger.

The auction site that’s in my county extends the auction if bids are placed in the last minute. Honestly horrible as it only encourages bidding wars. I very really use it if it doesn’t have a buy now price.

In a lot of ways I think this type of video only works if you end up winning at least one auction (in a video of multiple) otherwise it's ramping anticipation only for you to win nothing in the end. Though you could say it'd be anticlimactic if the format for the series was that you always won everything. I'd say mixing ~5 or so of these clips in one video with you winning some percentage of them would be much more enjoyable.
Congratulations. I could never take personally advantage of these kind of auctions due to my country of residence.

I wanna be sure using one that is very thin and lightly won't hurt it

Pete I got a question for you about eBay.
How do you personally prefer your items?
Do you only do CIB ?
If so what tips do you have to make sure you spend less but get the same quality you expect from like new?
So I went through price charting on this lot you won and calculated an estimate of value and just assumed that each one is complete just for my sake and I got a total estimated value of 644.22. Now after we take out you investment into that lot and I got an estimated profit value of 486.72. Keep I mind these are just estimates which based off that alone means you basic got this lot for about a fourth of its value. And for that I says kudos. Also I'm surprised to see Xenosaga be worth around 50 dollars if complete

Why did you pay less than your bid ?
Maybe he hit the seller reserve price 🤠
The bid he puts is the maximum bid he's willing to go to, so it'll automatically only bid slightly higher than the existing winning bid, rather than just jumping the auction straight to your maximum bid value.
So he put 185 but the other person probably only put like 152 or whatever as their maximum, so it just slightly beat that. But if the other person had set a max of 170 or something, Pete would have paid like 175. If the other person had a maximum of 200, Pete would have lost the auction, but the other person would have had to pay like 190

He ended up paying less because the last amount showed was what current winning bidder's max amount of money they were willing to pay. So eBay only made Pete pay just enough to beat the current winning bidder's max amount they were willing to pay.
However, if another person had put $200 at the same time Pete put in his bid in, and if Pete was the next highest bidder at $185.69, Pete would have lost and that person that bid $200 would have won and only paid $186.69 or so.
EDIT: I typed that just as I finished watching the video, so the question has already been answered. :D
