Chinese music is particularly fascinating because of their use of different scales than in the west. This song is truly beautiful... this is a weird place to say it but I was beginning to see no reason to continue living. Everything was beginning to seem so trivial. I kept asking myself: "why? why should I keep living in this world where there really is no purpose to anything?" And I became fed up with questions so I went on youtube to take my mind off of this and randomly found this song... and I decided that I should keep living to appreciate the beautiful and complex things in this world. Lysander Zepeda Choosing to continue indulging in the beauty of life is a well-decision. Personally, I have also had a run-in with the same situation in life.. I am young, and from that most individuals would expect me to being simple-minded and ignorant, however; throughout my years, I too have come to appreciate the world we live in as well as the universe entirely. Finding repetitiveness has a reoccurrence in everyday life is a sign of intelligence, just so you know.. I used to envy those who would say to others that they have been successful in becoming zen with their way of life. I used to question how people were capable of accepting reality and it's senseless journey. I believe life has no given purpose; it is entirely up to an individual to determine what life means to them. In the time we have on this planet, I think we should take advantage of technology, continuing to better the lives of our descendants, as well as bettering knowledge and wisdom, teaching to love and assist others throughout the journey of life. I used to question why I could not surprise myself, why I could not fight against the repetitiveness that is life.. I understand that we expect more than we should out of the life we have been gifted and to appreciate the simplicity of it all, as what this universe has produced should be considered a beauty.
Thanks for this, both of you. I've bben thinking about pretty similar things, but I had yet to find people who really thought of it in kinda the same way.
While I might not be using this for its "true" meaning, its calming to me. A friend showed it to me many years ago, and even after a fight and loosing contact, I listen to it often. It brings back good memories of them. If you're reading this Brianna, Thank you.
Funnily enough, I had a friend I showed this to who I had a falling out with. I doubt I am the same Brianna, but I miss that friend and hope they are doing well.
This song always makes me feel a bit sad and pensive and makes me think about life. I lost a friend recently, so listening to this makes me think about how precious and brief life is, and how helpless we are to decide when we live and how we'll die or when we'll come to pass. It makes me think how, although my friend is dead, I am still alive and I cannot help but to be alive, and that I should cherish my friend's memory until my time comes and we are forgotten by the passage of time altogether.

@@MrMikijava Actually the second instrument based on the sound is a Japanese Koto which is the Japanese version of the Guzheng. You can tell based on the sound of the strings because the guzheng uses metal strings while the koto uses silk (typically or traditionally, not always).
@Vladimir Putin Each country has their own instruments. Even though the Chinese 古箏, the Japanese お琴、and the Korean 가야금 look similar, I can assure you that they are not the same and they are definitely not played the same way.
Christopher Pineau That's not a pipa. Looks like some kind of hybrid Ruan. Pipa have a long body, no neck and two different types of frets. This has one type of raised fret, and the circular body of a ruan. The one inconsistency is that both a Ruan and a Pipa have four strings, and that has 2.

+Oliver Vuong The lyrics are Japanese, you could only be "sure" of it if you at least understood any of either language which doesn't seem to be the case. However the instruments used are Chinese.
Although this song is not so old in its origin, it still brings me 30 years back, to my childhood. It reminds me of another world, seeing it with other eyes and full of joy. Thank you.
Just need to point something out really quick, the description says that the art is depicting a girl playing the traditional Japanese shamisen, but this is incorrect. The instrument in the picture is the Chinese erhu, and they aren't similar. The shamisen has three strings and is a plucked guitar, the erhu has two strings and is a bowed fiddle. Please do research before saying stuff like this because both are beautiful instruments that deserve more correct recognition! 🙂
a0z.universe Is there difference between a japanese erhu and a chinese one, or it's just the same and you're pointing out that the instrument has chinese origin?
@@human3507 He was pointing out that that the girl is not playing a shamisen as stated in the introduction. And others are invited to correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know an erhu is an erhu is an erhu.

ask nicole and Molly anything the problem lies with the fact that many youtubers use buzz words like “most amazing” or “most beautiful” in their titles which resulted in a negative disposition going into the video. Because of this trend that youtubers follow in order to get views these songs that actually have meaning and quality within the content are shied away from purely due to their titles. Do ya get his point?
most of the time when i see a video with a title like most beautiful song ever, i click on it and its not bad, but this is amazing so thanks for putting it up. its rare for me to find a new song i love since i have heard a lot of music. thank you
So beautiful it made me cry! My aunt is an expert in Japanese language! She works at Japanese ambassade in Belgrade! I will surely ask her to teach me this beautiful language! This song helps me when I'm in some kind of depression when I get a bad mark on some test, it gives me strength to fight more. My friend decided to leave school and go to another one, he thought that in our school is very hard. Well I also think it's hard but I try not to give up. Because I must fight for myself, cause others won't fight for me, I try to fight as much as I can, to have good and a lot points to get in a University that I wish because I saw the results of new students at that University ,only get those with at least 98 score. So I must try harder to get what I want!!! Luckily I also have my two supporters, my parents they are always here when anything is hard in my life or when I'm sad!!! Anyone who reads this comment, please wish me luck and strength to end up like a winner!!! And in three or four years I will surely inform you how it ended bad or good!
😭 omg I've finally found this song, it suddenly appeared as a recommendation, I heard this song many years ago but I never added it to a playlist. I was devastated, and couldn't figure out the title, but omg. Im soo happy! 😭 Thank you youtubee!
I've been listening to this for a long time. It almost always makes me cry. A snow leopard in the snow squinting through the blizzard never knowing if another day will come. It's how one feels on a long journey making self sacrifices to maintain integrity when it would be easier to be bad.
Oh god I'm getting chills. I watched this such a long time ago and saved it but lost the file on my drive and tried so hard to find it again and now youtube recommends it to me. I feel so at peace I want to cry...
Nice! I like how at some points like 2:06, it sounds a bit like a choir or a crowd singing which makes it sound more epic or maybe my headphones are being weird but either way, good song ^^
I think the nostalgic feeling of this song comes from that it sounds like something made by Ghibli, I mean the main melody sounds like Path of the wind from My neighbour Totoro. This song sounds more like the main theme of chinese stylized ghibli film which that concept on my head already sounds really interesting.
😭❤ i know this song since 12 years now... i allways come back here. Listen it in all kind of life situations. If i'm feeling down, happy or like i want to study or just daydream.. 12 years have passed and still this melody is stuck in my head and allways be part of my life. Thank you so much!

I'm cool You Summed it up better than I could've. I'm pretty young myself by the way. I hope you have a good night/day.
Lysander Zepeda Thank you. You as well. I hope you continue your success for inner-peace. Farewell..
Thanks for this, both of you. I've bben thinking about pretty similar things, but I had yet to find people who really thought of it in kinda the same way.
I like this song, but woah.
I found this 5 years ago and it was stuck in my head and I haven’t been able to find it. This is amazing!
Glad you found this masterpiece.
holy shit... with just the instrumental music ... this song can tell the rising action, climax, or falling action. .. with such great depth
I love the Chinese atmosphere and I like Rin and Len singing. It is SO beautiful!!
While I might not be using this for its "true" meaning, its calming to me. A friend showed it to me many years ago, and even after a fight and loosing contact, I listen to it often. It brings back good memories of them.
If you're reading this Brianna, Thank you.
That's nice
Hope both of you can make amends
@@cosmicdusty9382 I appreciate the thought.
I don't know why this is in my recommendation after 6 years but I don't care I love this song.

Drahikir the Dragonrider ooh rwby the from the white fang
putting everything aside I really enjoy listening to this
the song is being sung in japanese, but, the instruments being used are chinese. very beautiful
i saw that, like erhu and.. Guzheng? i dont know xD
I can't stop listening to this, it's so replayable.
im Japanese and we are singing this song on valentines day :-D
Hope you and your spouse have a sweet warmy life
YOU MUST TEACH ME
Hi japanese
@@aliyahkhan7351 this was awesome
Håken doesnt sound too japanese to me, buddy
The instrument is actually an Erhu AKA Chinese violin, in the first picture. Second one is the pi'pa, or Chinese lute. Lovely song, regardless!
Although in the song it sounds like they're using a Chinese erhu and a Japanese koto.
I first found you in 2016 when I was lost , I had no idea what my purpose or worth was. Now in 2023 , I’m married with a Doctorate doing what I love . It’s good to see you again old friend.
makes me fall more in love with the Japanese culture, truly beautiful
Love the sound quality. Beautiful song. To me sounds chinese, I do know they have simuler instraments.
Thank you Harold. Music is an emotion, not a bunch of sound frequencies!
It's vibrations,
but humans give it life
but this is a erhu, it IS chinese (at leats the instrument)
correct but the song is sung by what I believe is a computer generation which sound a bit like ren and is sung in japenese
It's rin and len
Who’s watching this in quarantine 2020??
Tbh I don't mind it being quarantine
Get a fucking job and stop ruining the economy coz your ancestors couldn't fix your inherited problems.

I just want to thank my recommendation for bringing me this song. It's so beautiful.... the instruments are letting out such beautiful sounds!
Japanese music like this, to me, is so soothing. Don't need to understand nor speak the language, the music speaks to you none the less. Harmonic, beautiful, peaceful. Perfect.
you're right bro
Hammern28 I'm sure is chinese
Oliver Vuong the language is Japanese. but since Japan and China are neighbors stuff like music is only natural to be a little similar.
+Oliver Vuong The lyrics are Japanese, you could only be "sure" of it if you at least understood any of either language which doesn't seem to be the case.
However the instruments used are Chinese.
I LOVE songs like this. It just adds beauty to the world when everything is almost run by technology.
Although this song is not so old in its origin, it still brings me 30 years back, to my childhood. It reminds me of another world, seeing it with other eyes and full of joy. Thank you.
Weebs when they get a katana collection:
strange Ziga felt this.

LMAO 😭😭
I listened to this about 3 years ago, it has never left my mind and I come back to it every so often
The kind of music you want people to remember to sing and perform at your funeral, and learn to go on living, celebrating life.
Man this song is so soothing.
I read the description and for people who aren't familiar with Vocaloid, the girl in the picture is Kagamine Rin :3
リリウム She is in an anime? 😍
+Shah. F vocaloid is not an anime, its a game where you can test voices with synths
+DJohn 89 like hatsune miku?
+Mylene Novak yes, miku is also one of the vocaloid characters :)
+DJohn 89 oh... thank you ^^
Just need to point something out really quick, the description says that the art is depicting a girl playing the traditional Japanese shamisen, but this is incorrect.
JJBushfan Yep, I know it, it's Just that he Said "chinese erhu", so I thought that it had a japanese version of it.
@@human3507I see what you mean. Sorry if I offended.
@@human3507 all japanese string instruments are plucked, bar one instrument from okinawa. i think op was making the distinction thaf erhu's come from china
As soon as the singer sang "they are in engraved on my heart, now let me go' I almost cried. ;(
Believe it or not. Walk to the park on a fresh day when the sun sets and put head phones while listening to this song. Pretty sure you'll crack a smile there (:
King Mufasa maybe...but I just might also relieve of all my stress and tension.
You commented this exact fucking thing on HOME's Dreamhead and I think Resonance.
I returned, fellas. It's been 7 years, and this song is still as wonderful as the first time I heard it.
Music is timeless.
It is, this song is everything to me
Beautiful

My word- Rin and Len are tuned beautifully here!
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when this song was suggested to me. This song blew my mind. I find it's funny I don't understand a word of Japanese but I still connect with this song. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Hearing it instantly calms me down. I'm so happy I decided to watch this randomly suggested video.
The description for this song is very beautiful.
Glad I’m revisiting this song after so many years. Shows how much this song is showing its beauty. 💚
this music is relaxing... i really love this kind of music. any recommendations?
There's one you should definitely listen to, t's called Aqueous Transmission by Incubus. Other than that, Len and Rin-A Faint Wish? Or Len and Rin- Paper Planes??? I'm not entirely sure
+PachinkAndKazaam I definitely need to search for that thank you ^^
Mylene Novak Yeah, no problem. Tell me what you think. :>
i recommend listening to Tsugai kogarashi by Shigotoshite-p feat Meiko and Kaito:)
Mylene Novak Feathers Across the Seasons by Rin and Len Kagamine
"I won't remember what happened that time
But it's been engraved to my heart m,so let me go......."
Somehow those lines......they seem so melancholy beautiful.I absolutely love it.Seems like something one would say to a love that must never be......to the forbidden one........
Can't say if it is the "most wonderful song ever", but can't deny it is a REALLY good one !
Thank you for sharing this
Thank you youtube for recommending this song to me for no reason. I LOVE IT.
Somehow I get Ghibli feelings :D
Sirlie08 you mean... Studio ghibli films? 😍
The beginning makes me think of Samurai Jack.
Really similar to Princess Mononoke I think

I'm so happy! This song was on my first ever Vocaloid playlist but the version I had got deleted. For YEARS I haven't been able to remember the name of the song in order to find it. When I saw the picture on this I got so excited to have finally found The Spinning Song again!
I really wish people uploading videos wouldn't write clickbait in the title. I almost didn't click this and that would have been to my detriment.
Same here lol. I fcking love this song now.
But this is the one exception.
If you mean the most wonderful song ever part, that's one of the actual names btw.
He didn't write click bate in the title though
ask nicole and Molly anything the problem lies with the fact that many youtubers use buzz words like “most amazing” or “most beautiful” in their titles which resulted in a negative disposition going into the video. Because of this trend that youtubers follow in order to get views these songs that actually have meaning and quality within the content are shied away from purely due to their titles. Do ya get his point?
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this amazing creation! Now I can die in peace :')
4:30 that's a beautiful picture of two siblings playing instruments together ❤
Very very mesmerizing and beautiful. Love at first tune heard...
most of the time when i see a video with a title like most beautiful song ever, i click on it and its not bad, but this is amazing so thanks for putting it up. its rare for me to find a new song i love since i have heard a lot of music. thank you
So beautiful it made me cry!
Time to tell us how it went :) are you happy 3 years later?
The suspense is killing us
I bless you and your family. Happy holidays.
Doesn't matter if you win or lose. All that matters is you gave everything you had. Never quit.
Not sure about the ''most wonderful song ever'' but it's pretty amazing ^_^

After all this year's, I finally found you again!
😭 omg I've finally found this song, it suddenly appeared as a recommendation, I heard this song many years ago but I never added it to a playlist. I was devastated, and couldn't figure out the title, but omg. Im soo happy! 😭 Thank you youtubee!
I don't think I can even consider the title clickbait. This really is the most wonderful song I've heard.
i found this when i searched up ‘irish spinning song’ to find a lullaby my mum sang to me and oh boy i was not expecting this

Dis song man.....ITS A FUCKING BEAUTIFUL PIECE
I've been listening to this for a long time. It almost always makes me cry. A snow leopard in the snow squinting through the blizzard never knowing if another day will come. It's how one feels on a long journey making self sacrifices to maintain integrity when it would be easier to be bad.
I just love how Kurapika and Pico performed a duet.
One of the purest songs I've heard in my life
Oh god I'm getting chills. I watched this such a long time ago and saved it but lost the file on my drive and tried so hard to find it again and now youtube recommends it to me. I feel so at peace I want to cry...
I am taking Japanese right now in college, and the best way to study is listening beautiful music.
i came back after some years
i actually really love this
Really has been quite a while since I came back to this song, It's so relaxing.
Nice! I like how at some points like 2:06, it sounds a bit like a choir or a crowd singing which makes it sound more epic
or maybe my headphones are being weird
but either way, good song ^^
2018, still play this song
thats a good thing
Yes 😍 every second sounds so perfect and beautiful
Bout to be
2019 and I'mma still jam to this
I’ve had this saved so long I absolutely love it 😍 btw it’s kind of random but who is the character in your pfp? >.>

I don't remember when I found this, but I'm so glad to know of such a beautiful and hypnotic song.💙💙😄
Idk what it is about this, part of me feels really sad, but in an uplifting way? Brings a tear to my eyes..
I don't know why this 13 year old video came up randomly in my recomendations, but I am glad it did, it sounds lovely
I found this song when I was very young(around 10 years old or so) and I'm really glad I did. I'm almost 17 now but I still love this tune a lot
As a Chinese, even i feel shame but i have to admit some Japanese may know more about Chinese traditional culture than most Chinese.
