Hey everyone! The song predates the creepypasta and both are based on a simple old Japanese children's game. The game is an old folk song and a famous game for children in Japan. The lyrics to this song are somewhat ominous on their own and pretty mysterious. The original upload of the song on NicoNicoDouga came out in early 2009. The creator now calls the song "Kakome Kakome" to clear up the confusion with the game. The first entry of the creepypasta to the creepypasta wiki was in late 2011. On our last meeting my teacher showed us this video and we decided to play kagome kagome... While the room is a bit dark bc of the heavy rain outsude. This is about children back in World War 2, the Germans used to do sick and twisted experiments with them. This song is about the children's souls coming back to haunt them, and ultimately kill them by playing, "Kagome" or Circle You, where they slowly circle around the victim and ultimately lash out at them, killing the victim. All the vocaloids in the large picture are supposed to represent each of the children who were killed, and are each different spirits.
No actually this song is about an old Japanese game called Kagome Kagome and it was about children would be in a circle and they chose one person to be in the middle and they would go around singing Kagome Kagome and the person has to identify the person who is behind them and they are blindfolded so that's why they're guessing but anyways if the person guesses correctly they get a body part removed if they guess incorrectly they will die or get a body part removed so they're still going to die or get a body part removed that's what it's actually about yeah that's what this is about.

So just to clarify, apparently after WWII nazis went to a japanese orphanage and took some children. The count of these children and be inferred during 0:57. Now, when the nazis took these children they knew that there was a supposed 'kill switch' in the brain. So, they thought that if they took out that supposed kill switch, the kid would become immortal. As suspected, all the children died but one. Apparently, it worked on her (I don't know her name though I think they didn't specify her name) but, the little girl became weird. Having to be odd such as standing alone in hallways, often creepy staring and even behavioral problems. Now the nazis saw this as a problem and wanted to behead her. But seeing how she was acting odd, they knew it was no easy task. So, they let her play a game simply called 'Kagome' which means 'circle around'. Now the rules of this game are very simple. You stand in a circle with one person in the middle. The said person in the middle must cover their eyes as everyone else circles around and just chants 'Kagome'. Once the chanting is done, the person in the middle- with their eyes still covered-- must guess the person who is exactly behind them. Now that the rules are covered, I can continue explaining. The little girl stood in the middle as the nazi doctors circled around her, and once they were done they let the little girl guess who was behind her. Sadly, the little girl did not guess correctly, and the nazis beheaded her. Apparently, the orphanage is still standing and some people have even wandered in. It has been reported that people who went into the room where the bundle of children played, you could see them and they would plea you to play a game of Kagome with them. The thing was is that you couldn't leave, and you had to play a game of Kagome with them. So, you stood in the middle while the children chanted. If you got it right, they'd let you go if you didn't, you suffered the same fate as the little girl. Sorry if this is wrong in some places ! I tried going off of memory

I swear people are arguing over the origins of this game so let me make this clear before theere are anymore misconceptions. 1. This song is based off of a creepypasta known as ‘Kagome Kagome’, of course though the song itself has some altered bits that differ from the original creepypasta such as making references to the holocaust during when Conversion Camps experimented on Japanese Orphans (Japan was an Axis Ally at the time of the holocaust if I remember, correct if I’m wrong). More specifically that one experiment where they tried to unlock immortality by trying to see how they could disable a child’s ability to die. 2. There are two different kinds of ‘Kagome Kagome’, one of them is the creepypasta where you chop of a body part when you lose. And of course other is the original Kagome Kagome. The creepypasta Kagome Kagome is just an edgelord version of the original child friendly fun Kagome Kagome japanese game. 3. Calm down and don’t egt aggressive if you have questions or corrections please ask nicely. 4. Funfact Japanese are actually genuinely scared of the game Kagome Kagome (the original one not the edgelord one), there’s a belief that playing Kagome Kagome summons evil spirits. I don’t know how this belief came to be especially from a child’s game but yeah.
I think some Japanese are scared of the game because some regional lyrics can be interpreted as if they are calling unwanted spirits or even malicious Yokai similar to Filipino ghost stories. Which is quite what I also liked about Philippine ghost stuff because innocent games and things are usually being used to be a ghost story element like Hide and Seek or the more Filipino/indigenous version of "the floor is lava" where the "it" would try and hunt down the players who fell down the tops or furniture and "tag" them a.k.a. making you a part of the "it" and must hunt down the others as well. The horror stories changed it to make it that we cannot trust our friends if they include strangers to play because they might be ghosts pretending to be human and try to kill us all.

"Circle you Circle you" is a game in which a child chooses the be the middle child. The middle child has to guess which child is behind them. If they guess correct, they move to the next round. If they loose, they get a body part chopped off. The last player in which has survived the longest, wins. The winning child then kills themselves to end the game. Do NOT try this game at home. You will not survive at best chances.

There’s actually a bunch of different ways to play Kagome Kagome, it depends on tradition. One way is actually where the oni sits in the middle as the kids circle around the oni trying to scare them. If they flinch, they lose.

This song was always more sad than it was scary for me These kids are all alone and eternally suffering and likely in a lot of pain due to the torture and abuse they went through, but as they’re immortal they cannot die and move on to the afterlife, and are permanently stuck in the building that abused them and likely are haunted by the dark memories. All they desire is to move on, but they’re stuck in what’s essentially a living Hell forever. I can’t blame them for acting the way they did, being obsessed with the person who arrived in the building. They just want a friend who will play with them and make them suffer less The kids aren’t evil, they’re just abused and abuse can cloud one’s mind. They just want a friend, or have their suffering ended by passing on. The kids had nothing, or we can assume so by them being in an orphanage, and they saw those teachers as family… until they revealed their true colors AND RIPPED RUKO’S HEAD OFF. An experience like that definitely would mess someone up. I’d love to see someone make a sequel to this song where someone comes and saves the kids, heals them up and takes them out of the abusive facility or lets them pass away so they aren’t in pain anymore.
So what I've gathered is that these children were brought to a place in the woods and experimented on. They eventually all died but wished for more people to play with them. They remembered all the doctors circling them and thought it was a fun game. They lure children in and ask them to play. Then they say, "let's play 'circle you'". Obviously curious, the child offers to be in the middle. Then the others start circling them, giggling an insane giggle that eventually drives the "player" to madness. The children insist that you stay and torture you with the game until you eventually die. They don't know this, however, because their dead. Therefore, they think you're just sleeping. And while you sleep, they get bored of waiting and lure in a new "friend" and thus, the cycle begins again. Now im not sure if this is right (and correct me if im wrong) but that's what i gathered from it. :3
What I've gathered.... is that the location is somewhere in Hiroshima, Shimane. I don't even know which part of Shimane so well, I just checked using the gps map and welp, i guess it's the forest! XD Well, it happened in World War 2 and I remembered during that time that people who got experimented on were mostly twins and some people they cut off their legs and arms for experimental and 'training' purpose.

I think that was the child who tried to protest by causing havocs and wrecking the surgery rooms...etc. According to the original creepypasta, she got decapitated BEFORE the success, and her body was thrown out to the woods...and the caretakers were told that she found a new home.

So just to clarify, apparently after WWII nazis went to a japanese orphanage and took some children. The count of these children and be inferred during 0:57.
Now, when the nazis took these children they knew that there was a supposed 'kill switch' in the brain. So, they thought that if they took out that supposed kill switch, the kid would become immortal.
As suspected, all the children died but one. Apparently, it worked on her (I don't know her name though I think they didn't specify her name) but, the little girl became weird. Having to be odd such as standing alone in hallways, often creepy staring and even behavioral problems.
Now the nazis saw this as a problem and wanted to behead her. But seeing how she was acting odd, they knew it was no easy task. So, they let her play a game simply called 'Kagome' which means 'circle around'.
Now the rules of this game are very simple. You stand in a circle with one person in the middle. The said person in the middle must cover their eyes as everyone else circles around and just chants 'Kagome'.
Once the chanting is done, the person in the middle- with their eyes still covered-- must guess the person who is exactly behind them.
Now that the rules are covered, I can continue explaining.
The little girl stood in the middle as the nazi doctors circled around her, and once they were done they let the little girl guess who was behind her. Sadly, the little girl did not guess correctly, and the nazis beheaded her.
Apparently, the orphanage is still standing and some people have even wandered in. It has been reported that people who went into the room where the bundle of children played, you could see them and they would plea you to play a game of Kagome with them. The thing was is that you couldn't leave, and you had to play a game of Kagome with them. So, you stood in the middle while the children chanted. If you got it right, they'd let you go if you didn't, you suffered the same fate as the little girl.

I swear people are arguing over the origins of this game so let me make this clear before theere are anymore misconceptions.
1. This song is based off of a creepypasta known as ‘Kagome Kagome’, of course though the song itself has some altered bits that differ from the original creepypasta such as making references to the holocaust during when Conversion Camps experimented on Japanese Orphans (Japan was an Axis Ally at the time of the holocaust if I remember, correct if I’m wrong). More specifically that one experiment where they tried to unlock immortality by trying to see how they could disable a child’s ability to die.
2. There are two different kinds of ‘Kagome Kagome’, one of them is the creepypasta where you chop of a body part when you lose. And of course other is the original Kagome Kagome. The creepypasta Kagome Kagome is just an edgelord version of the original child friendly fun Kagome Kagome japanese game.
3. Calm down and don’t egt aggressive if you have questions or corrections please ask nicely.
4. Funfact Japanese are actually genuinely scared of the game Kagome Kagome (the original one not the edgelord one), there’s a belief that playing Kagome Kagome summons evil spirits. I don’t know how this belief came to be especially from a child’s game but yeah.
I think some Japanese are scared of the game because some regional lyrics can be interpreted as if they are calling unwanted spirits or even malicious Yokai similar to Filipino ghost stories. Which is quite what I also liked about Philippine ghost stuff because innocent games and things are usually being used to be a ghost story element like Hide and Seek or the more Filipino/indigenous version of "the floor is lava" where the "it" would try and hunt down the players who fell down the tops or furniture and "tag" them a.k.a. making you a part of the "it" and must hunt down the others as well. The horror stories changed it to make it that we cannot trust our friends if they include strangers to play because they might be ghosts pretending to be human and try to kill us all.

These kids are all alone and eternally suffering and likely in a lot of pain due to the torture and abuse they went through, but as they’re immortal they cannot die and move on to the afterlife, and are permanently stuck in the building that abused them and likely are haunted by the dark memories. All they desire is to move on, but they’re stuck in what’s essentially a living Hell forever. I can’t blame them for acting the way they did, being obsessed with the person who arrived in the building. They just want a friend who will play with them and make them suffer less
The kids aren’t evil, they’re just abused and abuse can cloud one’s mind. They just want a friend, or have their suffering ended by passing on. The kids had nothing, or we can assume so by them being in an orphanage, and they saw those teachers as family… until they revealed their true colors AND RIPPED RUKO’S HEAD OFF. An experience like that definitely would mess someone up.
I’d love to see someone make a sequel to this song where someone comes and saves the kids, heals them up and takes them out of the abusive facility or lets them pass away so they aren’t in pain anymore.
So what I've gathered is that these children were brought to a place in the woods and experimented on. They eventually all died but wished for more people to play with them. They remembered all the doctors circling them and thought it was a fun game. They lure children in and ask them to play. Then they say, "let's play 'circle you'". Obviously curious, the child offers to be in the middle. Then the others start circling them, giggling an insane giggle that eventually drives the "player" to madness. The children insist that you stay and torture you with the game until you eventually die. They don't know this, however, because their dead. Therefore, they think you're just sleeping. And while you sleep, they get bored of waiting and lure in a new "friend" and thus, the cycle begins again. Now im not sure if this is right (and correct me if im wrong) but that's what i gathered from it. :3
What I've gathered....
is that the location is somewhere in Hiroshima, Shimane. I don't even know which part of Shimane so well, I just checked using the gps map and welp, i guess it's the forest! XD Well, it happened in World War 2 and I remembered during that time that people who got experimented on were mostly twins and some people they cut off their legs and arms for experimental and 'training' purpose.
