Quick story for you Tyler: I usually plan all of my wife and I's vacations over the past 15 years. But summer of 2023 she planned this entire west coast road trip: Seattle, Mt Rainer, Portland, Jedediah Redwoods, all the way down to San Fran. US 5 to 101 to US 1 was AMAZING. We've traveled all over the globe, and yet this was one of the best trips my life. Still get emotional over how well my wife planned everything. Seeing you roll through California brings back memories that summer. Nothing but respect and gratitude to you dude. Long time subscriber.
That’s awesome Patrick, that sounds like an amazing trip you guys had. And it must’ve been kind of fun to sort of be a passenger princess with all the planning and just being along for the ride. I too have had a lot of adventures, but this one along the West Coast was just simply different and life-changing.
Of all your projects, this is probably the one I AM ENJOYING THE MOST..and did enjoy a lot your previous (impossible, train like a pro..going back to vegan cyclist period). Your story telling self supported is awesome. "Riding to write a legacy" it has left me thinking...thank you!
The best part about your adventure videos is that you release them right around holiday periods. Perfect time to relax, enjoy, and dream of my own future endeavors! Thanks for the inspiration as always.
Been watching your channel for a long time and I continue to feel things I can’t feel on any other channel. Loving this adventure from the east coast, cheers bruh yuhhhhh!
This episode is gold and so inspiring. Our time is limited and we should be doing things like this. Not wasting away behind a desk. Thank you for sharing the Ave of the Giants.
Rode the route this past summer. Had that climb from Garberville back to the coast as one of the parts I was dreading. The climb out of Leggit back to the coast ended up being one of my favorite parts out of the trip. Really enjoying the series Tyler.
Love it! I especially love Ave of the Giants as it brings back memories of me running the Ave of the Giants Marathon! It is so beautiful and I remember crying as I ran through the trees with so much joy. Your videos bring me such happiness. Thank you.
21:30 I watched along as you did this live, on the edge of my seat. Been waiting for this series ever since -- and it doesn't disappoint AT ALL! I wonder how many other cyclists are now planning their own Great American Coastline adventures because of the motivation they get from watching this! AHHHHHHHHMAZING!!!
Man everyone on here is right behind you. We all believe you got what it takes to conquer this and get to Disney land with your favourite people. Love to you and all the supporters along the way. Ride fast ride safe. 🚴🚴🚴
Pumped on this one dude, love the impossibles but this has been the shit. Came in clutch for my current situation too.. can't ride can't run, stuck on the stationary so it's really helped. Love u bro, all the best. Cheers
With so much CA highway riding I remember the Ave of the Giants as a big relief from that. I loved riding in CA and am from there but having not lived there for a decade I always underestimated the number of smaller rural road pleasures.
A few years ago I did a long camping trip with my family and a portion of it was down the coast from the Olympic Peninsula to San Fran, so its super cool seeing you ride on roads that I've either driven or ridden. Especially the Humboldt State Park road, I remember being just as stoked as you riding that.
My son is the polar opposite of me so I’ve had a steep learning curve in how he needs to be parented. The last few years things have really clicked and our relationship has blossomed. It’s awesome.
You're question right after you finished the ride moved me to pause the video and anwer. Initially I was fully confident that you'd be able to make it. It seems like an attempt at the record is becoming increasingly difficult, especially if fatigue starts impacting the ride more and more. You are definitly doing this challenge in hard mode considering that you're videographing the whole journey. Really curious if you manage to overcome and stay on schedule for the remainder of the challenge. Love the video's man keep it up :)
Hey Tyler! You’re absolutely crushing it-super inspiring! 🙌 Quick question: For your future big self-sufficient rides, are you planning to stick with the Canyon Aeroad, or will you switch back to the Endurace?
Really digging this vid series as it’s great motivation during the winter months 👍🏼. I feel you on the “absolutely no littering” thing. I’ve lost a gel packet here & there and it really bothers me when I fail on something so simple 🤦🏻♂️
You mentioned worrying if we, while watching this now, are enjoying it because you at the time of filming don’t know how it ends. You’re too hard on yourself. I’m having fun because you’re CLEARLY having fun 😂 it comes through in the videos. I wonder if eventually you’ll turn full time to story telling and let other people do the actual rides. Your eye for it is impeccable, but I imagine it’s hard to produce hen you’re also the star of the show.
I've ridden this route several times but it takes me 14 days just to get to Los Angeles. I was hoping you would ride Avenue of the Giants - my favorite American road. Be careful navigating into Long Beach. Good luck.
Mate thank you for this , love your videos always fun. If you ever come to Northern Ireland, Ireland please let me know would love to take a bit of this beautiful in with you.
Hope you had/get a chance to hit up King Ridge Rd in Sonoma Co. As someone who calls the entire route from this day home, thank you for loving this place. Come back sometime. There's a great route linking up Ave of the Giants and the Lost Coast to the west... Ferndale to Mattole to Ave of the Giants. With the mileage you put in I could see a Prairie Creek/Lost Coast/Ave of the Giants linkup ride.
Im watching the series just for this episode. I've been there 10 years ago during my travels thru the States and it is till today my most favorite place in the world. And i was wondering all the years, why you don't show some footage from the Giants. It's a crime not to been there. Back then, it felt like Jurassic park.
Be careful- vertigo potential using the ear pods. Hoping you’re using speaker phone sometimes. Happened to me listening all day w Bluetooth AirPods in. Don’t want you to get wobbly! Yeeit!! (If that’s how you spell it at the end of your vids!)🎉 Wake up looking forward to these everyday! Thank you VC 😊 #permagrin
@@TheVCAdventures while i have you here, i also wanted to comment about the part where you were talking about how cool it is for your future grandkids to be able to pull up videos of their dead grandpa and see what kind of cool shit they did. This is absolutely true and very special, my dad who passed away a couple years ago was pretty well known in his industry so there are lots of interviews and documentaries and stuff with him online. The ability to just go back and see him talk in videos is such a treat and a gem that most people are not able to do once a family member passes. He was a big cyclist too and the reason I started riding in the first place
Thank you for sharing, I’ve always thought that it would be nice for my family in case something happened, but I’ve never met anyone that has had that actual experience getting to look back on a loved one through video. This might be too deep for a comment section, but is it hard for you to watch them back?
I have a Tailfinn, but by the end of the trip, I got this rear bag so dialed. I changed the straps everyday and finally got it perfect. No swinging and super sturdy.

Very motivational!
It was great to meet you Tyler! I wish I would have had the forethought to bring you some food! You are such an inspiration to all of us cyclists!
Been watching your channel for a long time and I continue to feel things I can’t feel on any other channel. Loving this adventure from the east coast, cheers bruh yuhhhhh!
Been watching all of your videos since I've found your channel. You do adventures most of us don't even dream about. Keep up the great vibes!!
Allen! Thank you much for the love! Really appreciate it. Telling these stories is as much fun as living them.
The burrito in hand coming from behind you made me laugh. Enjoying this series, liked your perspective on adventure in yesterdays video.
This episode is gold and so inspiring. Our time is limited and we should be doing things like this. Not wasting away behind a desk. Thank you for sharing the Ave of the Giants.
From 11 minutes to 14 minutes is the best ever on TH-cam I’ve ever watched. Legend. Tyler. Legend.

Thanks!
No, thank you!, This was one of the most epic days I've ever ridden on a bike and your support makes this possible.
Keep pushing, STUD !
As always … amazing story telling. Enyoying every second. Thank you🤙
I did Portland to San Francisco a few years ago and this truly brings back memories from the journey !
This is just like the Last Dance. Can’t wait for the next episode
Really enjoying the adventure and bringing us along. Epic dude doing epic stuff!
Pumped on this one dude, love the impossibles but this has been the shit. Came in clutch for my current situation too.. can't ride can't run, stuck on the stationary so it's really helped. Love u bro, all the best. Cheers
Love your sense of humor

Definitely my favorite series of yours.
Loving the series, I hope this donation contributes to the Disney trip being special. Merry Christmas VC and Fam!
Thank you so much Ben! DL is not cheap😂 so I really appreciate it.
My favorite episode so far !! The dream 🤌🏼
19:13 That epic descent man, that was awesome. Cinematic, fricken glorious
Thanks!
No, thank you! I had a blast riding that road, glad you enjoyed the video.
Male elks are bulls. Deer are bucks. Glad you enjoyed the Oregon coast and looking forward to the rest of your adventure. Love your channel.
And as you know, riding a bike through there is so much better than driving. magical place indeed❤🤘
awsome adventure dude!!
you are an inspiration and a very cool guy!
greetings from Poland! 🤘🚲
Bro this series is da bomb. Love it.
Thanks again! Time for watching VC Adventures this evening!

Pfffttt! Deepak Chopra…. Tyler is my philosophy guru. Outstanding series! Keep up the great work thanks for inspiring us all.
Your gonna crush this ! 🎉Inspired all of us to pump some miles in.
As a father to a 4yo son and an 8mo old i resonated when you gave a shout out to your son. I legit teared up😢. Fuhhhhhhhhh
My son is the polar opposite of me so I’ve had a steep learning curve in how he needs to be parented. The last few years things have really clicked and our relationship has blossomed. It’s awesome.
yes man! my favorite series this month on youtube!
When you say you made it.I think, he just commuted to the office. Beast mode.
Danke! time to donate for this great youtube content!
Legend! Thanks for the support! This was the highlight of the trip.
@ you brought this Highlight to cold germany and i cant wait to see the next stages going to México 👍👍👍
Dude you are so inspiring. I rode a few longer rides this year because of your videos
Great effort dude!!! Keep going!!! All the best!!!
I like the road rating scale. Gives someone unfamiliar to the area places to ride
The song at 16:00. You got me bro. I felt that one 😊
LOL! Dude, I knew you were going to go bananas when you rode Ave of the Giants!
The tree in California are truly a national Treasure ❤. Red woods and Sequoias are so amazing .
Really enjoying these videos!
Endless confidence.. Mr. Delivery man….
If I could like this twice, I would. Phenomenal content
Bro I love this series, I watched the whole IG stories uploads when you didn’t this last summer but this series is IMMACULATE. A+ work bro 👌🏼👌🏼🤙🏼
These are so good. Ive got a 4 day ride through wales in uk next yr. My first "adventure" ride. This has been the best inspiration.
Awesome! Make sure to get an adventure mindset and just live through the story that has already been written.
Objectively, TH-cam creators are putting out some of the most compelling content among anyone right now
Lovin these Tyler, reminds me of RAAM. Would love to do this ride. Watching these vids with joy.

You made me eat a burrito today, in the middle of winter in Poland. Great content.
Hey Tyler! You’re absolutely crushing it-super inspiring! 🙌
Quick question: For your future big self-sufficient rides, are you planning to stick with the Canyon Aeroad, or will you switch back to the Endurace?
I gotta start taking a veggie burrito on every ride. Love this series.
ZACH!!
Makes me think of the drive through. Lemme get 55 Burgers, 55 Fries, 55 Tacos, 55 Pies
At 3.07 I thought you were vaping.....😂😂❤

I'm here for my daily VC fix. Even after VC passes he's still a bad ass.
Another epic day!

That camera work is so wicked good it looks fake. Thank you for these videos.
Absolutely epic and makes me wish I would have taken better video through the ave of the Giants
Great storytelling

Trusting those paper handles on the bags is the craziest thing you've ever done
Mate thank you for this , love your videos always fun. If you ever come to Northern Ireland, Ireland please let me know would love to take a bit of this beautiful in with you.
I’ve been trying to plan another Euro trip, just hard with the kiddos. My wife is 45% Irish so we really want to get out there.
Myself I would love to take in The Wild Atlantic way at some stage. Just need good weather.

Bro , The Wife Kicks A$$
Stay Strong ,
Cheers
I'm enjoying solo adventure more than the tag team. Pour a burrito on the curb for your homie but keep solo.
Takeout options would save time but no options limits
hope to see you in zwift soon, gonna smash that "380 watt" FTP out of the water.
first who isn't a bot lmfao
Your comment is so relevant interesting and informative… oh and entertaining. 😂
your shopify store is down as of this morning
@11:22 Good stuff
Best road ive ever driven.
when you're on these long trips do you encounter road rage sometimes or do you reflect your positive vibes onto the other road users?

Carbon Tailfin would keep all that rear luggage solid

What mount are you using for your phone?
Quadlock, thing rips.
So basically every day is gonna be "THE BEST ROAD I'VE EVER RIDDEN...EVER!!!" hahaha
What is your phone mount?
I get tired after a couple hour ride. So 10-15 hour rides are pretty long
Especially back to back to back (etc)
What app are you using to track your calories in?
Macros & Athlytic
Your vibes are infectious! Keep bringing the positivity and hype for riding🤙
Don't rip the corners off wrappers. I think there are brands that use biodegradable wrappers too
Average American eats a third of a cup of seed oil daily.
Very interesting and relevant topic! Looking forward to your next video 😂😂
Why stop at California? Keep going down to Cabo!
“Hey babe, ya know how I’ve been gone riding my bike for a week while you manage the kids and house? Yeah. Imma keep going” … that should sit well 😂
