Play sand makes better sense because of the price. I have seen many people show you alternatives that cost more than they are worth. If you don't leave your bags where mice or other animals could get them you can use things like rice, popcorn or even hard beans. I have used popcorn in shooting bags in the past. But I leave my things at a farm now and have to worry about mice eating their way in. So, I will be back to play sand. Problem with any alternative is the price and not even knowing whether there will be enough when you buy it to even fill the bag or bags.

    Nice review.
I use sand blast sand, very tiny sand grains, also poke the filling hole when put the sand in the bag.
That Protector is really good and inexpensive rear support for the rifle, i love mine.

The bag looks underfilled and soft and I would remove the sling attachment point lest it starts scarfing the bag up I used sand blasting garnet in my SEB and Protektor bags need the weight.
