I don’t shoot prs but I do use a positional bag quite a bit in the walk in prairie dog fields. I filled mine with finely ground rubber. Nice and light and pretty stable. Thanks for the video Keith!
Keith, I wished you lived in my area. I could introduce you to NRA/CMP smallbore prone. I have seen 17 year old girls and 80 year olde guys shoot some fantastic scores. No reloading, just you, a competitive rifle and some good ammo. It sounds simple, but it’s not. The discipline drills down to great marksmanship and wind calling. You would love it. Great video my friend.
Just got back from Perry shooting smallbore and was kinda turned off when I realized I had to load ammo for my next match. Being able to grab a few boxes of ammo and head to the range is soooo nice.
I would submit that you're likely getting better at PRS because you're becoming more accustomed to (and less intimidated by) the overall format of a PRS match vs. just belly shooting F-Class. You may want to take a deeper dive into bag manipulation techniques that the top shooters are using. A Schmedium isn't really that heavy with sand and a lot of us have switched to a Schmedium +1 with sand, at least for a front bag. I still prefer an OG with GitLite for the rear, but this PURG fill is intriguing enough to warrant testing.
Doesn't get any better as you get older, some stuff I used to think nothing of doing, is a bit of a struggle to do now, like those lite bags a lot, and they work.
Yes, the folks from the Idaho side of Washington are great people 😉. That said, I've met some wonderful people from the "wet side", but the politics in the cities...🤮
That works for certain situations. In PRS, I'm starting to believe that the game has a strong component of problem solving. I haven't seen too much yet, but the things I've seen...
Thanks fer sharing great info. as usual,......just like a PRS/NRL pro-shooter,.....although you have always shared great common-sense & logical info., even as an f-class shooter,.....which always seems to have come from doing, vs. another one who claims to do that, but, instead is a follower & regurgitates stuff, he takes from others, & claims to have tested it, ok, fine,.....but, if you don't do it his way because some others he got it from do it that way aswell - then you are "stupid".......then go & criticize him, & he whines & squeals like a snowflake & claims "trying to divide us".....OMG !!!.....hey Keith - I'll tell you what - Thank You Sir for your approach to instructing/educating, & sharing your hard-earned/honest experience,... & doing so, so graciously & generously !!.....btw - I am speaking for many I shoot with aswell.....keep up the great work - it is appreciated, speaking of which - you should sell some swag....."Winning in the Wind" - "Keith Glasscock - Shooting/Reloading Instructor".......shirts & jersey's Please.
Thanks Keith !

Your comment at 1:00 is because you shot with Dave, he’s awesome lol.
Very, very interesting...
Quite impressed on your logic!
Precision underground bags and fill are awesome and he's a solid guy

Give him time, Keith will come around.... heavy fill is the way. :)
I really like the prs stuff
Awesome as always! Give us more! Im sure others including myself would love to see some match footage included.

This took 5 days to show up in my feed. 😮
Great video. Thanks!
Great video! My arthritic thumbs have forced me to a lighter bag.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
There are many like it, but this one is mine. Lol
Major General William H. Rupertus has entered the chat.
Quasi related question, what is the dust/rain cover that you put on your rifle between stages?

Why do a video if you are not going to show what the fill looks like?
Why... don't we just attach a long bag along the bottom of the rifle?
That works for certain situations. In PRS, I'm starting to believe that the game has a strong component of problem solving. I haven't seen too much yet, but the things I've seen...
@@winninginthewind PRS stands for Parkour Rifle Shooting after all
Please return to F-class, we miss you
AI or A and P or experimental?
Let's stray away from any aviation discussion. I still work in the industry...
Ditch the bags. A loop sling is all you need.
In PRS? I'd love to see a demonstration!
That rock lake prop is terrible to shoot off of.

Thanks Eric. I appreciate you!
do some push ups brother and you will be able to sling that heavy bag.
If I was young like you... I do a lot of exercise, but the wear and tear of more than a half century does make it more difficult to build muscle.
