Which is the best state to see the 2024 solar eclipse... based on clouds?

- As you are waiting for totality to occur from the solar eclipse, the last thing you want is a cloud to move overhead and block your view. Where should you go to try to avoid clouds? We used cloud climate data to look state-by-state to see which state has the best shot of sunny skies.
You will want to check the forecast a handful of days before April 8, 2024 to see the specific cloud forecast, but this should give you the best idea on where to start planning your trip.

I’m in Watertown, NY and we are smack in the middle of totality….but the historical cloud cover isn’t looking good. This January has been cloudy, and lots of fog all month. Just got my solar eclipse glasses in the mail today…fingers crossed for good weather!!☀️😎
I live here also and they said we are supposed to get 165000 visitors. Watch it be cloudy and unable to be seen
funny, the projected weather is the exact opposite of this far projection.
I don't want to miss out. I'll watch the national 10 day weather reports closely and drive to the best, even if in Mexico.
I appreciate your commitment! I ♥️ people who love science
I live in Vincennes Indiana which is right where Indiana bends to the left at the bottom...it will be going directly overhead at my house...hope its not cloudy...I have an acre of ground out in the middle of nowhere so I should have a great view.
I'm in Indiana too, an hour straight up I65 from Louisville. I am going to be mad when f its cloudy lol.
I live in Brownsburg Indiana which isn’t too far away from downtown. Please 🙏 don’t let be it to cloudy for us.
I live in central Pennsylvania so unfortunately there's about a 2/3 to 3/4 chance of getting clouded out. That sucks. It's going to be 95% totality here. Should I make the trip?
Please make the trip. The difference between 99% and totality is literally day and night. I'm flying from florida to dallas to see the eclipse. I promise you wont regret it
I cant sress that enough. You have to travel to the path of totality to get the real experience. I saw it in 2017 and It's a memory I will never forget
@@JohnAnderson-zb3cr I hope I can find a way to get there. If I can't make it into the path of totality do you think I'll still enjoy 95% with clear skies? I saw a 77% eclipse in 2017, here's what I noticed.
25% - Nothing really noticeable, shadows looked different though
50% - Here's where the "fun" began. It was like a cloud in front of the sun except I could still see the sun. That was so cool!
75% - This was where the "OMG wow" part began, it was like the sun was dimmed like how in a movie theater they dim the lights. I'd never seen anything like that before!
Maybe I'm easily impressed? I dunno. I hope I can get to totality. If not, will 95% be a huge step up from 77%?
100000%
@@ankharahallstrom1580 "If not, will 95% be a huge step up from 77%?" Not as much of a huge step up as 95% is to 100%
I see an eclipse every time a cloud comes by😉
Watching the day after the eclipse and being in Indiana smiling bc we caught the clearest skies and longest time of totality and 11 months ago they had us in the gray 😂😂😂😂
I was there. Just East of Losantville on the bike path. Indiana had it perfect.
How tf did/can they tell what the weather is going to be hella months before it happens? Lol 🤔 kinda fishy to me
My neices were born on eclipse days. One lunar and one solar. And the day I was born...meh.🙂
On 04/08/0004, exactly 2020 years ago, a solar eclipse occurred in the Roman Empire when Herod died and the baby Jesus was able to return from Egypt with his parents.
Flavius Josephus said that Herod died after a lunar eclipse, but lunar eclipse is not a reference.
Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas
Your forecast end up being exactly opposite
😂
Just glad it’s not in Florida.
Cloud are best for eclipses.
GREAT!! just want Texans need, more people 🤦🏽♂️. We're gonna have SOOO many damn people here bringing all their BS with them just to see this Eclipse.
Matthew 24:29 (ESV)
the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken
Total Eclipses happen all the time
@@prospect689it’s 3 meteor showers that will happen too in 2024. This year is a wake up call
@prospect689 thank you! Someone with logics and facts, the same way they say that the end of the world is happening because it seems like there's so much. Well that's thanks to social media,a bird flies over a volcano it's all over the news and crazy Bible thumpers are screaming like retarded banshees
There was eclipse back in 2017. Which nothing happened why should eclipse be any different?
April 8, 2024 will be very interesting. Hopefully, several different parties❤️are doing a scientific experiment with Pendulums and gravimeters in Mexico❤️
.
at noon. If the Moon’s shadow were to move over Finland, for example, and❤️
even early in the morning or late in the evening, nothing special would be❤️
.
noticed in the movement of the pendulums. This would be due to the❤️
fact that the energy coming from the center of the Earth, which would be❤️
.
pushed out towards Finland, would not move towards the Moon and the❤️
Sun. Mexico is much closer to the equator than, for example, Finland❤️
.
And now a total solar eclipse will happen at about noon. Was it 12.14❤️
Now a lot of energy from the center of the Earth is moving through the❤️
.
shadowy area towards the Moon and the Sun. Unregistered dark energy❤️
particles are pushed into the countersphere for a long time. The❤️
.
particles that transmit the pushing force push through each other again❤️
and again. Their internal pressure increases. The energy in them is❤️
.
spread over a larger area. Internal movement / time is speeding up. The❤️
interaction with the substance intensifies. Here’s an explanation of❤️
.
why you might notice some vague movement in pendulums and❤️
gravimeters on April 8 if you’re doing a science experiment in Mexico at❤️
.
noon when there’s a Solar Eclipse. When you understand / figure out the reason, You will
.
be able to explain the tidal phenomenon without a pulling force and without curved space❤️
🤔
The closer the Moon’s shadow moves to the center of the Earth as seen from the Moon,❤️
the bigger the Allais effect on the pendulums you can see.❤️
.
Experiments should also be done with devices that pushing tennisBalls into the air❤️
See if the length of the flight differs during the Solar Eclipse compared to the normal situation❤️

We must pray for USA because an eclipse is not a good sign.
it is a sign of revelation coming

Revelation 6:12 (ESV)

Here's another best: Where would the best place be if you want to avoid clouds and racists & LGBT+phobes?
Yes! I’d like to not travel to see this but not get shot…
LGBT phobes and racists usually don't care about things like solar eclipses so you'll probably be good
Stay where you are in your bastion of liberalism and illegal immigrants
Mexico. They're not racist and they love the LGBTQXYZs.
@@TammyJerkChickenthis comment is ridiculous- if you take the time to actually study the path of totality you will find so many small towns in Arkansas with 3-4 minutes of totality! Find Jonesboro Arkansas on a map, zoom in and go west towards Mountain Home Arkansas…..all those little towns. I have traveled through all of them countless times, and there’s no racism. There’s no crime and there’s no prejudices of any sort. People are welcoming and I would highly recommend finding one of those places -take you a picnic basket and a chair and just settle in! I will be there❤ I will share my cooler and fried chicken with anyone!!! I am traveling from a suburb of Memphis and can’t wait!!! I will be 74 when the next one happens so I must see this one!
I am in Toronto and I hope that it will be 100% blocked. I don't want to see it at all!!
Yeah, screw the moon!!!

I live in Muncie. We are having a big Eclipse event downtown that day.
Good luck! If it's cloudy for you but not say 50-100 miles away DRIVE TO IT, I promise it's worth it.
