I saw the Mother Ukraine statue back in 2007. We stumbled upon it while exploring Kyiv but had never heard of it before. I didn’t realize it’s the tallest statue in Europe. Cool! Thanks for the video!
In all fairness, Europe is known for short structures...
There is a very similar statue in Volgagrad Russia called The Motherland Calls. The one in Russia is actually the taller statue at 85m vs 62m for the one in Ukraine, however the one in Ukraine sits on a 40m pedestal giving it a greater overall height.
Think you mis-spelt Kiev?

Really excellent animation, first. Beyond that, the narration is beautifully written and professionally presented. I'm impressed.
It is not just a statue now, Statue of Unity has become a major tourist spot earining crores of rupees of revenue. It gives employment to local village communities. It is a great source of pride to Us, who visit it.

I saw the statue in Monywa Myanmar in 2012. I didn’t realize that it was one of the tallest statues in the world at the time. The lounging Buddha has a temple inside with an entrance in its rear end which I found quite humorous! I’d love to share photos of it if you’d like!

We are sorry that we have not provided a more detailed explanation of the map. We use a tool to create these maps and when you type in India, it highlights the territory that is generally accepted around the world. We have then done our best to manually shade all disputed areas in gray. We will make sure to do better with maps of India in the next videos 💛
People who say these are waste of money should know that tourism exists.
Generally tourists that visit statues are idiots.
Almost every home has some figurines in them why shouldn't a city or country have some. Many locals like them too and it gives the same feeling of pride for your home. Tourism is mainly a byproduct. Ask these same people (if they are American) if they would sign a petition to give the statue of liberty back to France and build homes for the homeless in its place. I think they are just sad that not a single one on the list was American made. $140 million? That's like 3 superbowl commercials.
W they don't understand becuz their countries don't have one
