While the anime may have hinted at the villains acting to some capacity, in the manga they literally appeared out of nowhere, without introduction, so the readers who thought this was going to be just another training arc experienced the same disbelief, confusion and terror along with the students, which I think is pretty cool.
Honestly a Test of Courage is a pretty common summer camp activity around the world. Over here its usually the adults doing the scaring, personally I was on both ends many times and its always a load of fun. Still remember how during a Viking themed summer camp we had to go through a dark forest at night with the adults acting out various norse monsters to get to a runestone and carve our names in it. We did go one by one though. The only downside for the adults is that your already likely less than 4 hours a night sleep schedule gets nuked even more.
Any time Deku has that hysterical strength that surpasses his limits to protect someone I just lose it man. Always makes me tear up. They know how to emotionally manipulate us lol
Kota's story is actually pretty deep. Like, his parents have duty as heroes to save civilians, but then they also have duty to raise, provide and protect their kid. At the end of the day, we can say that they died honorable death to fulfill their duty, but they also failed miserably on their parenting duty, cuz now they can't raise him anymore. They can run away from the villain if it's too much for them to handle, but they will fail their hero duty then. So which duty will you choose? It's hard but, they did choose their hero duty over Kota. Stain will probably kill me for this but I'll choose my child everytime.
Tiger, the big beefy guy in wild wild pussy cats, is canonically trans! He probably transitioned after the group got together, i think its cute he still wears the matching outfit. Magne is also trans! Some people think its Horikoshi being insensitive towards trans women, but most villains come from a less privileged background so it makes sense she cant "pass" more as a woman. Its true for trans people irl too unfortunately. Not everyone has the means, funds, or supportive community to transition like someone who's rich or had a supportive family can. I'll probably get some weird transphobes that respond to this but MOST anime have some sort of queer representation or support. If you have an issue with that bring it up with the author or don't consume anime as a medium.
"that little purple fuck" is so funny to me bro great start I'm gonna be editing my comment thru the video but I had to say this first. Edit 1: you're probably one of my few favorite reactors, esp for anime. It's also awesome how you put p much the whole ep even though it could be difficult for you bc sometimes people miss a cool part that I wish they'd react to, but you react to everything so it's fuckin awesome Edit 2: this series of episodes scares me sm fr Edit 3: FUCK that was an awesome reaction! I'm so excited to see you go through the rest of this~
Man such a good episode! I love Kota, he is so sad and it is such a good arch to see him understand what it means to be a hero. Even if Deku failed out of UA he is already someone's #1 hero.
I hate and love this episode, because from a logical stand point, as more as you think about it, as less sense the 1million% smash make. but if you just accept it as a one time thing, the episode still is fucking epic.
It was more like 110% or Plus Ultra moment for him, he hyped himself up by screaming 1 million coz he was full of adrenaline. It’s an adrenaline thing where the body breaks all its limits, it has a basis in real science and is also the reason his arms got completely destroyed this time.
@@rodri7340 I don't have a thing against it itself, but about the fact that it is a one time thing that didn't really get one upped, saying that he goes from 100% to 1million% on paper may sound fucking epic or shit, but the fact that a jump from 100% to 1000% (even if it was just in his thoughts instead of actual output) would make this scene (in my opinion) better as it just doesn't feel as unrealisticly stupidly high (and how the fuck didn't he shatter his body if it wasn't just in his head) as a million does. at the end of the day it's just my opinion. and for me personally the thing that is like a thorn for the scene for me. but if you enjoyed it anyways, the scene still served it's purpose at the end of the day.
Its not methaphorical, he needed to say that in order to gain momentum and finish the battle, it has scientific explanation and all, its interesting because you can see how smart deku is by improvising and using everything he can think of, its so cool.
@@rodri7340 🙄 there I go again, can’t help it. Jokes aside, I just don’t vibe with it at all. It’s giving cringe. The scientific explanation is hysterical strength, which is going past the limits your body sets for you, plus ultra and all, I know, I get it. I could’ve lived with 120% (though it’s actually just 100%) Also, how does it show dekus big brain? I’m not arguing that he’s not smart, it’s one of his main characteristics, but this moment is not him strategising, rather primal instincts and just punching his way through. It’s a very brain empty no thoughts moment - which is cool. Like I said, it’s a hype moment, I just HATE the 1000000%.
And enter my least favorite character in the entire sersies. Muscular is so gross 🤢🤮 I hate him. I hate looking at him. He's just an irredeemable monster. Episode 4 is still amazing and makes me cry like a baby every single time 😭 The first time I watched it had me freaking out. But Deku becoming Kota's hero 🥹😭 Deku really is best boy!!

True! I kinda like that, it would've been even crazier!
"Revelry in the dark."
😂😂
😭 “My hero” Kota became Dekus fan after that~~ I love this ep ♥️

If MHA does one thing completely right it’s the music. They’re great at hitting you with these big emotional scores
Episode is absolute peak deku vs muscular was so pinnacle to dekus character grow to this point and his ability to inspire never fails
Even with 7 season out now this is still in my top 3 Deku moments its iconic.
The training wheels are off for Deku and this was such a great episode. Literally fighting for his and Kota's life with no backup.
It was do or die moment and bro rose to the occasion
Man I've been waiting on your reaction to this for so long and you didn't disappoint! Your videos are top tier bro
I appreciate your bro! I'm really glad you enjoyed the episode

Was such a great episode! We only just met Kota but I love him so much! They told the story so well to get you so attached so quickly
