And, if we're to go on how Ayane Sakura did in the original version, it looks like we'll get a great performance next episode from Luci Christian as well (also from Briner, Jerry Jewell, Zeno Robinson, etc.).
The scene for the ramp launch is a *parallel* to S3 with Bakugo rescue mission at Kamino (where All Might vs AFO 2 took place) - as they are at the same place now with All Might's statue as a memorial. Iida (not Bakugo) reached for Deku now, as Kirishima (not Deku) reached for Bakugo then.
They didn't do this in the dub, but in the sub Iida mentions Ingenium always takes the hand of a "lost child", which hits hard because even as the most powerful hero Deku is also a lost child, and they need to save him so he can save everyone.

My 4 favorite things in this entire series is definitely Bakugou apologizing, Eri getting to smile again, All Mights speech after defeating All for One, and Kota calling Deku his hero. But man, Bakugou apologizing hit me hard
I appreciate how the dub makes Bakugo sound a bit more regretful in his apology. The Japanese version isnt bad, far from it, but something just feels more fitting about the scene in English. He actually sounds sad
Its probably because bakugo's japanese voice is a bit grungy. Or it could be because we understand what dub is saying that we feel that he is more regretful.
Same thing with the final fight in the second movie, Dub Bakugo has some minor emotion in his voice in regards to Midoriya possibly being quirkless again, while japanese Bakugo was deadpan a bit.
I like the fact that there were only 2 characters that didn’t get a moment with deku and those are the 2 that the fandom have the most theories about one of them being the UA traitor. Horikoshi knows what he’s doing 😉

Whether delaying the episode means we get a double drop for the final two eps or not is whatever I don’t mind waiting for it. (Specifically I really wanna see Marketa’s reaction next episode) so all good to me
I loved this entire manga chapter and episode. Because it COMPLETELY reconciled Izuku and Bakugo relationship. And as someone that has both Izuku and Bakugo as Favourite characters it was really awkward liking a starlight up bully/abusers but any who- first The parallel of Izuku realising that Kirishima will reach Bakugo vs Bakugo realising Iida will reach Izuku. It shows that even tho they have history the know they are not the best or closest ppl for eachother, they are not the others bff, even tjo they understand a F ton about eachother and care alot... enoch brings me to THEE APOLOGY! I felt everything that Bakugo was saying, the _sincerity_ the deep remorse and self reflection and the realization that its not enough and will never be enough but it's the least Izuku deserves and of course catching Midoriya as he fell. This was the COMPLETE redemption of Bakugo and I'm glad that it had all the foreshadowing before this (this fight, bakugo confiding in Izuku about his self blame over all might, help Deku with his secret and quirk training and ofc saving deku) the fact that it had build up really majes you feel it because theres nothing more off putting and mid as a villain or antagonist suddenly brung like "I was wrong" and then instantly forgiven eith 0 pre build up or work/development before hand.
Deku's admission of his friends having surpassed him is based on their superior maturity compared to him. Because they know they can't fight alone, they're way better than him at problem solving and threat suppression.
Suraj: "I am a thirty-three-year-old man wearing a witches hat, teary-eyed at anime." Relatable. Both this episode and Jiraiya's death bring me to tears every time 😢 The next episode is also going to be a tear-jerker. Hope they stockpile on tissues.

Deku finally got the apology and reassurance he deserved and ma boy Bakugo finally owned up for his mistakes and became the voice of reason. This episode is beautiful.

Love, LOVE, LOVE this episode. Let's discuss the parallels. First, we have Iida thinking back to when he thought he absolutely had to face the villain before him to the point of even throwing away his own safety. Izuku is playing right into AFO's hands by tiring himself out but he feels like he can't just sit and rest when Shigaraki always knows where he is. Izuku helped Iida with his problem. Now Iida steps up to help him with his. Next up, the Bakugo rescue that happened. Back then, Shoto made the ice ramp as Iida flew through the sky. Izuku had so many bottled up feelings for Bakugo. So many things he wanted to say to him. But he knew Bakugo would see it as a sign of weakness if he reached out to grab his hand. So he took a step back and allowed Kirishima to do it. Now, Shoto makes another ice ramp and Bakugo is the one who has the bottled up feelings inside him. He has so many things he wants to say. So many things he NEEDS to say. But he puts his feelings aside and lets Iida grab Izuku's hand because he's designed for speed. We see Tenya get to reaffirm that helping a child in need is what he does. Meddling in affairs where people might reject your help is what being a hero is all about. But more importantly, Deku needs to take a bath. Kaminari was right. All jokes aside, let's talk about Bakugo's speech. These two have such a complex relationship. From childhood best friends to a strained relationship due to Bakugo feeling inferior, to Bakugo and Izuku reluctantly working together, to Bakugo telling Izuku to stay back when he was captured to his meltdown in their second fight to them being proper rivals and Bakugo helping Deku with his quirks and then jumping in the way to save him without thinking like Izuku did for him in the past. They have such a complex relationship filled with a whirlwind of feelings. But Bakugo was willing to be vulnerable not just in front of Deku, but everything in their class. He swallowed his pride and admitted his weakness. He told Deku that it was okay to rest. That it's okay to have shortcomings because they'll have his back. And he ran up to catch Izuku when he fell. Iida caught Izuku, Bakugo made him feel comfortable enough to finally rest on his shoulder, and now the public has to be convinced that he can stay at the school. Deku thinks he's useless if he can't save people. But now it's time to address an important question. Who saves the heroes when they're in trouble? Side note, I almost forgot the Mineta line. Fun fact, in the manga, people were freaking out because of Mineta saying he fell for Deku. The fandom nearly having a meltdown at bi Mineta was peak chaos.
Beyond the very specific parallel of the ramp boost launch, the way that 1-A planned for this whole fight in stages felt rather Deku. He's always been the class' top strategist, but between his emotions, his weariness, and their combined brains, they outplanned him.
I really like the parallels of Bakugo letting Iida confront Deku at the same location where Deku let Kirishima confront and rescue Deku. The callbacks and references in this show are really good.
Bakugo has always been one of my favorite characters in this show from the beginning but more so from the point of his starting line episode.... what got to me during his apology to deku was that he called him by his first name.... he since they were little and their quirks either appeared or didn't appear or even before then always called him Deku... I love how he took the dirogitory nickname and changed its meaning to be what it is now... but for Bakugo to use his first name sencerly truly got to me...
Lemme just say that no, Class 1A WASN'T able to keep up with him, with all their combined might, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, well-rested, they could BARELY keep up with Deku who was trying his damndest not to hurt any of them, as well as one of his quirks not working because they had no intention of hurting him either. But here is what clinched me: Deku was exhausted, dude was running on fumes and still he almost got away.
Yes, and the words his classmates say to him makes him not really try anywhere near as hard as he could've even without hurting them. They were able to catch up to him because he travelled in a straight line and could've just swung to the right a little, and they'd lose him. Or, heck, use the 2nd wielder's quirk if he really wants to be a savage about it and just crush their dreams of ever keeping up in a hundred years.
They knew they were going to have to hit him in the feels because even tired and hurt, deku could have destroyed them if he'd went on the offensive at any point in the fight. Deku at this point is just on a different leave then all of them

It shows that even tho they have history the know they are not the best or closest ppl for eachother, they are not the others bff, even tjo they understand a F ton about eachother and care alot... enoch brings me to THEE APOLOGY! I felt everything that Bakugo was saying, the _sincerity_ the deep remorse and self reflection and the realization that its not enough and will never be enough but it's the least Izuku deserves and of course catching Midoriya as he fell. This was the COMPLETE redemption of Bakugo and I'm glad that it had all the foreshadowing before this (this fight, bakugo confiding in Izuku about his self blame over all might, help Deku with his secret and quirk training and ofc saving deku) the fact that it had build up really majes you feel it because theres nothing more off putting and mid as a villain or antagonist suddenly brung like "I was wrong" and then instantly forgiven eith 0 pre build up or work/development before hand.
I really loved this chapter. Clifford Chapin (Bakugou's VA) did an amazing job in the apologize scene...
It's worth mentioning that class A is not as powerful as Deku. Deku was already running on fumes before this "fight" began
Deku's admission of his friends having surpassed him is based on their superior maturity compared to him.
Because they know they can't fight alone, they're way better than him at problem solving and threat suppression.

Love, LOVE, LOVE this episode. Let's discuss the parallels. First, we have Iida thinking back to when he thought he absolutely had to face the villain before him to the point of even throwing away his own safety. Izuku is playing right into AFO's hands by tiring himself out but he feels like he can't just sit and rest when Shigaraki always knows where he is. Izuku helped Iida with his problem. Now Iida steps up to help him with his. Next up, the Bakugo rescue that happened. Back then, Shoto made the ice ramp as Iida flew through the sky. Izuku had so many bottled up feelings for Bakugo. So many things he wanted to say to him. But he knew Bakugo would see it as a sign of weakness if he reached out to grab his hand. So he took a step back and allowed Kirishima to do it. Now, Shoto makes another ice ramp and Bakugo is the one who has the bottled up feelings inside him. He has so many things he wants to say. So many things he NEEDS to say. But he puts his feelings aside and lets Iida grab Izuku's hand because he's designed for speed. We see Tenya get to reaffirm that helping a child in need is what he does. Meddling in affairs where people might reject your help is what being a hero is all about. But more importantly, Deku needs to take a bath. Kaminari was right.
All jokes aside, let's talk about Bakugo's speech. These two have such a complex relationship. From childhood best friends to a strained relationship due to Bakugo feeling inferior, to Bakugo and Izuku reluctantly working together, to Bakugo telling Izuku to stay back when he was captured to his meltdown in their second fight to them being proper rivals and Bakugo helping Deku with his quirks and then jumping in the way to save him without thinking like Izuku did for him in the past. They have such a complex relationship filled with a whirlwind of feelings. But Bakugo was willing to be vulnerable not just in front of Deku, but everything in their class. He swallowed his pride and admitted his weakness. He told Deku that it was okay to rest. That it's okay to have shortcomings because they'll have his back. And he ran up to catch Izuku when he fell. Iida caught Izuku, Bakugo made him feel comfortable enough to finally rest on his shoulder, and now the public has to be convinced that he can stay at the school. Deku thinks he's useless if he can't save people. But now it's time to address an important question. Who saves the heroes when they're in trouble?
Side note, I almost forgot the Mineta line. Fun fact, in the manga, people were freaking out because of Mineta saying he fell for Deku. The fandom nearly having a meltdown at bi Mineta was peak chaos.
This was one of the best TV episodes I ever watched.
Beyond the very specific parallel of the ramp boost launch, the way that 1-A planned for this whole fight in stages felt rather Deku. He's always been the class' top strategist, but between his emotions, his weariness, and their combined brains, they outplanned him.
I really like the parallels of Bakugo letting Iida confront Deku at the same location where Deku let Kirishima confront and rescue Deku. The callbacks and references in this show are really good.

Bakugo has always been one of my favorite characters in this show from the beginning but more so from the point of his starting line episode.... what got to me during his apology to deku was that he called him by his first name.... he since they were little and their quirks either appeared or didn't appear or even before then always called him Deku... I love how he took the dirogitory nickname and changed its meaning to be what it is now... but for Bakugo to use his first name sencerly truly got to me...

Lemme just say that no, Class 1A WASN'T able to keep up with him, with all their combined might, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, well-rested, they could BARELY keep up with Deku who was trying his damndest not to hurt any of them, as well as one of his quirks not working because they had no intention of hurting him either. But here is what clinched me: Deku was exhausted, dude was running on fumes and still he almost got away.
Yes, and the words his classmates say to him makes him not really try anywhere near as hard as he could've even without hurting them. They were able to catch up to him because he travelled in a straight line and could've just swung to the right a little, and they'd lose him. Or, heck, use the 2nd wielder's quirk if he really wants to be a savage about it and just crush their dreams of ever keeping up in a hundred years.
Nothing caught me more off guard than Thirteen's face reveal! LOL

They knew they were going to have to hit him in the feels because even tired and hurt, deku could have destroyed them if he'd went on the offensive at any point in the fight. Deku at this point is just on a different leave then all of them
