Great review. I just wish Tesla would work on their interiors a little more. I know some people like minimalistic approaches but why not have an option for those who don't.

I bought a second one recently. I bought a 60D in 2016 with only 200 mile range and five seats. Just bought a 2019 with 328 range, seven seats and full self drive. Great vehicles!

I’ve had an 2019 X Six seat, since November. I’m 60 and thinking this will be my last car. I love it. Expensive yes! But worth it!

Yes, a couple “fit and finish” items but it doesn’t bother me; the weather stripping for water? fell off inside both front doors (I used double stick tape to reattach)... my passenger door opener “gear/motor” made crunching noises; replaced on warranty. Pearl white paint looks great; no other issues! Oh, my wife hates the “big windows”. I have a hat and sun shades... Visors need work in future.

Did you ever make the second part about the infotainment system?
I really love what Tesla stands for. And I LOVE the exterior. While I understand the minimalistic approach, I feel the interior looks cheap. Like the materials are what you would find in a standard Toyota Corolla (nothing wrong with Toyota’s btw!), but at this price point, I would like more of a luxury vibe.
Our 2013 Tesla Model S still looks amazing inside and out. Passengers are wowed by the interior and screens. You’re off base, it’s absolutely luxurious.
Not to mention, opening the rear doors in the rain causes the water to fall into the vehicle.

Great, fair review. So many diehard fans make it hard to get a handle on the objective realities of Tesla vehicles. They seem like great cars overall, but I love hearing the good and the bad of day to day driving. This helps a lot.

I thought the windshield would be a plus but thanks to your video, I see the sun can't be blocked at certain angles(normal I suppose) but I saw the using the sun visor was useless since the windshield is so large.

Side note I was just thinking when he described the doors, he said falcon door. I don’t really watch a lot of car videos with doors that swing up, but I noted that I’m kind of happy they moved away from calling the doors that swing up suicide doors. 👍🏾
The electric doors and are great. In the event of emmergency. Opening the doors setting out fast will be difficult. There should be quick opening back up.,

I was looking at a white one from the side. It reminded me of one of those Star Wars storm troopers. LOL
In gas-powered cars, the engine noise masks a lot of the road and interior sounds you're noticing in the Tesla with its virtually silent motor. You really should judge the noise level against the noise level in other electric vehicles, not against ICE luxury cars.
That's what my friend said too but that's not the case here. When your driving 60+, there is clear wind and road noise vs other luxury cars that didn't and it wasn't the engine masking it. Plus I sat in a Model 3 and it was clear it was much quieter as well.
Noise level in a Model 3 at 70mph is 71dB. This is slightly higher than most luxury mid-size sedans.
Tip: Enter your destination into the navigation system to make autopilot better- autopilot knows the route and when to turn and stop

Is that regenerative breaking similar to down shifting to get engine braking? I wonder if the Tesla's super station are free for teslas. Also is it possible to slow charge on any 110 AC plug? Interior noise is odd, maybe there's no sounddeadning in it or is there a sound insulation package. How many full ludacris mode launches before the motors fail? I want one anyhow.
Yes it feels similar to down shifting with engine braking. The superchargers are free to certain cars like the Model X. Yes you can slow charge on a regular plug but it takes forever to get any usable range.
I, too, have a 2020 Model X. Was build at the end of Nov 2019 and delivered to me in Dec. Elon Tweeted in Feb 2020 that "All S/X cars made in recent months have actually been above stated EPA range. Will be unlocked soon for free via software update." My local Tesla tech tell me that my car isn't eligible for the upgrade to Long Range Plus. Do your X receive the upgrade? Thnx

You missed the fact that you don't have to purchase a wall charger. Even though charging will be slower, you can charge using a normal outlet.

The sunshades are very effective. In your example, unfolding it and flipping it up would have blocked the sun. 🤦🏻♂️

Kaiser Can you elaborate on your nonsensical reply? That’s exactly how driving with a Model X sunshade works when the Sun is in the windshield above the pivot point of the shade, like was shown in the video.
@@matthewnelson5680 it was just a demonstration of the blocker. When you're actually driving you're not gonna be swinging around this little sun blocker to cover your eyes.

The trunk doesn’t close by itself ?
I have 2018 model x and the trunk closes by itself if you press the trunk button via the key fob or via the button on the trunk lift gate .

In supercharging it takes around 30 to 40 minutes
Home charging takes around 6 hours

Tesla X has two big issues: Water go inside from the rooftop when falcon doors openned under raining and accidently car driving into water!
