This video is actually really relevant to everyone considering buyuing used model X now after refresh. I believe you made me not to consider swapping from M3 to old MX.
Great comparison at a high level. The small stuff not mentioned as well has greatly improve the X. Our early 2016 X 90D was a piece of crap with issues; seals replaced multiple times, delivered with squeaky seats, literally loose seats that moved/rocked, panel gaps, gaps that required them to disassemble and reassemble the back lift hatch so it could close without issue, vibration issues with acceleration, MCU that failed 2 times, etc. Left a bad "taste" for us and Tesla at this point...
Great video! We have a 2016 X. It’s not performance but we got the moveable spoiler that the performance models have! We just passed 88,000 miles and are seriously considering upgrading to the 2020 model. We bought the extended warranty and haven’t needed it yet. (12,000 miles left with fingers crossed)!!
Your passed 88000 miles is it still good for driving everyday? Im planning to purchase the 2016 models x with 50,000 miles on it what's your suggestion?
@@vuongquyen115 just bought a 2016 with the same amount of miles. Car is awesome! The few upgrades and price wasn't significant enough for me to make the leap. This car is amazing!
This is missing a few things: First, the interior options changed. You can no longer get that white interior with the figured ash as pictured in the video - back then you could order the interior piecemeal. In 2016 the Model X had vented (cooling) front seats as an option, which I don’t think any Tesla currently has. You could order a charger upgrade for 72amp charging, which I don’t believe is an option anymore.
i dream of the day they finally come down in price cuz i really want one, but being a paraplegic, getting a vehicle converted is already really expensive and i dont know if its even possible for me to remain in my chair and be driving without getting out of it and into the drivers seat cuz i had heard the battery is under the car and i dont know if the floor would have to be lowered or not

8:42 If you purchased FSD in 2016 you had the Nvidia hardware 2.0 board (the Autopilot 1.0 board was not FSD capable). All Tesla's that have purchased FSD are eligible for a free upgrade to hardware 3.0 processors, you just have to put in a service request through the Tesla app. Select service, Upgrades & Accessories, Full Self-Driving Computer. After installation your car will have all of the FSD capabilities of the newer vehicles. Tesla also has a purchasable upgrade for the MCU 1.0 system to the new MCU 2.0 system that would give all of the new infotainment options. And as you and some other posters have pointed out Camp Mode, Messaging, Voice Commands, Dog Mode, Sentry Mode are all available on the older cars via the regular software updates.

I think doing a car survive to a flood is a really easy task, (ICEs): having a air compressor inside a car for the engine to use the air to run trough some puddles, a closed air passing through the radiator, like valves, you desativate the air flow with water proof valves and water proof doors. (EVs) just water proof the doors; (ECEs): desativate the burner, have a valve that open and closes the air valve,a close radiator air trough, and water proof doors
