You failed to mention the biggest changes. For me it was the luxury feel on the inside is gone; no Alcantara insert on the dashboard, loss or the piano black back of the seat cheaper looking switches, loss of the monopost and moving the middle raw without folding i.e. no need to remove car seats to gain access to the back ones.

This is missing a few things: First, the interior options changed. You can no longer get that white interior with the figured ash as pictured in the video - back then you could order the interior piecemeal. In 2016 the Model X had vented (cooling) front seats as an option, which I don’t think any Tesla currently has. You could order a charger upgrade for 72amp charging, which I don’t believe is an option anymore.

Great comparison at a high level. The small stuff not mentioned as well has greatly improve the X. Our early 2016 X 90D was a piece of crap with issues; seals replaced multiple times, delivered with squeaky seats, literally loose seats that moved/rocked, panel gaps, gaps that required them to disassemble and reassemble the back lift hatch so it could close without issue, vibration issues with acceleration, MCU that failed 2 times, etc. Left a bad "taste" for us and Tesla at this point...

8:42 If you purchased FSD in 2016 you had the Nvidia hardware 2.0 board (the Autopilot 1.0 board was not FSD capable). All Tesla's that have purchased FSD are eligible for a free upgrade to hardware 3.0 processors, you just have to put in a service request through the Tesla app. Select service, Upgrades & Accessories, Full Self-Driving Computer. After installation your car will have all of the FSD capabilities of the newer vehicles. Tesla also has a purchasable upgrade for the MCU 1.0 system to the new MCU 2.0 system that would give all of the new infotainment options. And as you and some other posters have pointed out Camp Mode, Messaging, Voice Commands, Dog Mode, Sentry Mode are all available on the older cars via the regular software updates.

I think doing a car survive to a flood is a really easy task, (ICEs): having a air compressor inside a car for the engine to use the air to run trough some puddles, a closed air passing through the radiator, like valves, you desativate the air flow with water proof valves and water proof doors.
(EVs) just water proof the doors; (ECEs): desativate the burner, have a valve that open and closes the air valve,a close radiator air trough, and water proof doors

Good overview. Thanks. I miss information about the "next gen" seats, and how they differ from previous Tesla models. The new headrests can't be adjusted or removed, which is a major PITA when using IsoFix child seats. The Model X looks like a great car... but why on Earth did Tesla design a "family car" that is so openly hostile/dysfunctional with child seats? Bonkers!

As Far as I can tell, the 100D was not available until 2017 though. That is why it was not included in the 2016 list.

Aerodynamics comes mostly from the outer surface shape, which hasn't changed and won't change until they do a complete face-lift at some point.

As someone on the list for a Cybertruck this raises the question: Do I want one as soon as they ship in 2022 or 23? Or do I want to wait? The hint here is your video is March 2020, and the most recent upgrade is 2019, which I'm guessing might mean Tesla is where it needs to be for self-driving. Hopefully, paying the extra, in 2023, for the self-driving feature might mean that I'll have a 'point and nap' vehicle (whenever that finally arrives).
( I dream of long trips with California's I-5 being just a long nap or a couple of movies. Instead of loading up the car and leaving at 4am, why not leave at 9 pm and wake up in Oregon or Shasta?) My son says, 'don't hold your breath.'

You have to keep in mind they had little experience with mass production back when the Model X was first delivered. Production quality has increased steadily. Then there's the more pragmatic thing... I don't know what # is your reservation, but you probably wouldn't get one first or second year anyway.
