I really wish they would have read the directions before they tried the adjustments. There is miss-information in the video. The front knob with the blue height adjust is for tilt tension not a different zone of back adjustment. The back knob on the right side is the only for adjusting the posture fit. On the back left hand side there is the tilt limiter arm that will allow you to tilt back more or less.

Yes and actually no, so Herman Miller and Logitech did work together on this for ergonomics(sitting angles absolutely matter for how people sit. Some people love to sit back, this isn't for that), and the cooling pads which help when/if you sit in the chair for a long time. Also helps that apparently they cost the exact same amount.

I was able to assemble it myself with no difficult and I am not an engineer or a put-it-together expert. The chair is super comfortable, I play video games for roughly 3-4 hours at a time and it does not make my back hurt or neck hurt. The Reclining function actually surprised me because it goes very low, you could fall asleep on it ( and in fact i have while laying on it with a foot rest for my legs). The red is a bold choice and I usually stay away but I love how the red and black contrast looks on this type of material. I was planning on buying an Aeron chair after I tried the Steelcase Leap in a showroom and was severely underwhelmed. But surprisingly when I went to a showroom to try the Aeron and Embody chairs, I loved the Embody way more. Not only that, I found the Logitech version more comfortable than the regular Embody chair because of the added foam. I don't usually hop on trends like this, because if I'm being honest with myself I'm not much of a gamer, but I'm definitely getting the Logitech version. It actually goes with my setup since I have the MX Master 3 mouse and G915 wireless mechanical keyboard. I didn't plan it like this, but it's kind of satisfying having all my peripherals be Logitech, they just make the best stuff.

I've had the Steelcase Leap for about 1 year. I hate it. Thinking about upgrading to the Embody in the near future. The Leap is far too clumsy and rigid in the wrong places. Its a disgrace that I have to use a cheap seat cushion from Amazon on my Leap because the original cushion is so damn stiff that I start to hurt after about an hour of use.

I've used it for 11 years now. It's good. Has saved me a butt load of money and time buying cheaper chairs that wear out. Takes time to learn how to use it properly. Highly adjustable/reactive - you're suppose to adjust it to meet your moment to moment needs... it's less about 'set and forget' and more 'tweak to meet your current needs'.
Having said that, I kinda wish it had a head rest... except, I used to - but then I learnt that the right back adjustment knob is actually... an upper back tilt/tension adjustment - you're supposed to turn it so that your head and eyes are level - your head is then carried by your upper spine very comfortably, even when you're leaning back as far as it goes.
The right front knob is not a lumbar adjustment knob contrary to what Colton is saying - it's a back rest tension adjustment knob - you're supposed to calibrate it so that it holds your body weight - the consequence is once you calibrate it, you can hold a wide range of positions without playing with the tilt lock lever - you simply move forward or backward and it'll 'suspend' you in that position. That way, you get movement AND support in the back of the chair - which is the real standout feature on these high end ergonomic chairs.

This is a continuously updated book which contains measurements of man and woman of all body types in order to design best for them. I can almost assure that it was used in the making of this chair. However, that means it was designed for a majority of 'average' sized humans. Certain heights and weights are just bound to require special design and a whole different product. The designers of this chair forsure took into account human ergonomics on this design, I have no doubts. Personally , i would prefer the herman miller Aeron.

The chair is designed for the 2nd to 98th percentile. So around 6'3 should be the tallest people it works well for. If you have a exceptionally tall (or exceptionally shoret) upper body, you need a different model. If you're more than 136kg, you need a different one as well.

This is demonstrated when the two other guys, who are taller, get into the chair and it still supports them.

@@evshrug I have an ergonomic advisor in the office and I believe she mentioned the arm rests should be at the same height as the desk. The way we achieve this is with a height adjustable desk and foot rest combo. A massively limiting factor nowadays is desks are a default height. It bugs me that they aren’t pointing out that this chair has been around for years. It’s the gold standard for office chairs, but Herman Miller just had Logitech slap a big “G” on it to sell it to gamers. (Edit: Please do better LMG and actually give us *facts* about the products you’re showing us, not just talking-head, yOuTuBe rEaCtIoN style videos with surface level context on a product, arguably misinformation about said product if not misleading info, and click-baity titles and thumbnails.)
Also, if you have the dough, go for it, if not, don’t worry about it. There are plenty of affordable ergonomic chairs on the market, they just aren’t marketed to gamers.

Oh, I should add that there is a lever on the other side of the chair from the knobs. Adjusting that controls whether you can lean back in the chair or not. It seems like it was set to the position that prevents you from leaning back, hence why Riley kept being pushed forward when he tried to lean back. Setting it to the maximum looks to let you lean back about 25-30 degrees. Not exactly a sleeping position but not bad for an ergonomic chair. Still, I can't see paying that much for any chair unless I hit the lottery jackpot.

Just to save folks from overspending - I would highly recommend a lower end Herman Miller or a Steelcase chair for 50% the cost.
The embody is generally uncomfortable by design (you must plant your feet squarely on the ground) and it very quickly develops rattles where the back connects to the seat.
