Sooo any update on the crash bars? I also just got the heed bunker bars, because they are one of the nicest looking on the market...but yeah, they're kind of heavy. Haven't fully tested them yet, but in slow speed maneuvers they work good, i think they lower the point of gravity a bit..kind of...if that makes sense. Other option would be the Outback Motortek ones for me. I think the weight difference between Heed and OM is just about 5kg...
That's a fun amount of power not too much. I noticed you winding it out full throttle constantly. That's how you know it isn't too much lol if you had too much you'd flip doing that
Hei great ride, and great shot! May I ask, what camera and camera settings (+accessories) are you using and also, are you doing any post processing to your videos?
Thanks man! I am shooting on an old GoPro hero 7 black with a ND filter + a Zoom external microphone. And I am syncing these in post processing + some color correction, that's it.
I personally hate the new displays that motorcycle industry is trying to place every bike. It looks horrendous. I love rpms in gauge and speed in small display just like my vfr800 8gen has. Anyway, i see a lot of inspiration from Schaaf, keep up the good work, and try not to kill yourself, even if the ND gives it a scarier look.
I had analogue clocks for 20 years. Never had any problems. Two years ago, I entered the modern world of LCD screens. Really had to train my brain to not permanently check the screen for information I did not really need. So tempting. Also, it was arranged in a very playful way - scattered. Last year, new bike. Thankfully, this one has a LCD with much less unneccessary information, but a dial. I now just have the total kilometers, which is enough. The rest is not needed. But sometimes I really wish for the old-fashioned analogue stuff...
I bought this motorcycle kinda impulsively. Now I’d researched basically every popular motorcycle in sport , sport touring a, adventure, dual sport and adventure touring. I had a 2021 ninja ZX6r and a 2022 Ninja 1000x My first street legal bike was a 2018 Kawasaki klr650. Which I did not like. It was ok on dirt , but at my 6’3” 285lb size I had zero confidence on that bike ESPECIALLY turning into traffic . 35 HP wasn’t enough and at high rpm the vibration is a mess. I test rode a brand new 2022 t700 Also a used bmw gs 800 adventure. The bmw had more power but didn’t feel great on the dirt , I didn’t realize until later it had a seatconcepts touring seat, so you can’t adjust your butt posterior., your kinda locked in. The ninja 1000sx is like that , where the Tenere has a rally - like seat that allows you to change position on the seat super sports are like that too you can shift The bmw had traction control , expanded fuel tank, it was nice. I really like traction control for commuting and urban environments. The Tenere is just analog with the exception it does have ABS something I need to have on most of the time, a single button turns it off. I continued to worry about not having rider tech for safety. However every single time I get on the Tenere and pull out of the drive , it puts this huge smile on my face …
Same. Last year bought a Tenere 700 2022 in November too and sold my Tracer 900 for it. Best decision ever and it was more than impuslively. It was I just came near this Yamaha dealer and saw they had a few Teneres on display and bought it just like that.... haha
I would recommend the Givi crash bars if you are after a light pair. They are cheap & lighter than most others, plus I’ve tested them out too many times 😂 took a 10m slide down the tarmac and a few big hits off road and no damage to the bike other than scratches on the bars, Barkbusters and exhaust.
Can i ask your opinion about this bike im planning to get 1 for adventure touring purposes mostly highways but offroading and trails too is it good or what things you should replace or upgrade for a comfortable tourer? Or should i just go for super tenere
Definitely the super Tenere. In my opinion this Tenere 700 is awesome for small tours around home, but for touring adventure you should go with the super Tenere or the r1200gs/1250. To make the Tenere 700 touring ready you need a lot of accessories and it will cost a lot more, not worth it in my opinion. Plus if you add additional weight to the bike, it will not be powerful enough.
Any advices for a woman 5'7 tall? I can't decide between the tenere 700, a xt660z, and Honda cb500x. Still haven't tried out any of them regarding the chassis. Furthermore, I'm a beginner....
@@majormassenspektrometer yes I did, tbh it was always the T7 XD I might take the lower sear tho... Not sure about lowering the bike for about a centimeter...

It does. What I have noticed, you cannot carry a lot of things without noticing the power deficit... You notice it even when you put a full tank 😁. I had crash bars on it, immediately removed them because it affected the way it drives... But yea... it's only my personal opinion
He said at one point the one of the others was a Super Tenere. I have both these bikes, and I promise you, the S10 would have eaten the T7 alive in this situation. This is not the T7s strong point, it isnt supposed to be.
@@Gonxu90 ?? Just put your feet into changing up and release power for sec and motorcycle transmission basically sucks next gear in. I do it all the time. @@Gonxu90 You don't need QS to shift gears. The QS is your throttle hand. You take away throttle quick when upshifting and you give throttle while downshifting. If you train it you are just as quick as with QS.
180km/h on overland roads... this is very unresponsable in my opinion. Someday you may will kill somebody because of too much speed. Hopefully no one else than yourself.... Think about it.
Exactly my same thoughts. He was going much to slow for these kind of roads. But the t7 has nkt got so much power. He should have bought a 890r or a Aprillia Toureg 660. Then he could have used the a button for a fixed speed so he would not have hurt his wrist so much. Riding these kind of roads very slow is taking a risc. 😇
Like the old saying goes, “it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.” If fools like these get killed, not a problem. Actually it is better for all of us as there would be one less fool making the rest of us bikers look like idiots. The bad thing is that fools like this are the ones that keep our insurance premiums high. The sad part is that as someone who was a paramedic for ten years, I had to go pick up a lot of similar fools who crashed up in the canyons. The dead one’s were left there to be picked up by someone else. Some walked away by themselves. Some survived but with pretty bad injuries. The injuries is what scares me the most. If you injure a knee or other joints in the body changes very good that it will never heal back to 100% again. For a few minutes of “fun” it would suck (in my opinion) to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Or not being able to walk normal again. Or having to stop doing things I enjoy before because a knee or something else in your body is not normal anymore. And trust me, as you get old all your old injuries came back to hunt you down. I would hate to get to old age and needed a walker or even a wheelchair because of an old injury.
Geez christ that thing is slow. I am sure it's fine on gravel but on tarmac that thing doesn't move. My bike isn't that fast on 120hp but this would drive me nuts. But it's reliable. It's a Yamaha after all.
