Our children most probably won’t know what it’s going to be like to ride amongst a bunch of i.c.e. powered bikes producing the wonderful cacophony, experiencing the full brap brap symphonic roar!
True. But if we're around to see what tech bikes lean into, I've got a feeling we'll be absolutely floored. Mind to motorcycle interfaces... unimaginable speeds... unimaginable protection and capabilities. It's truly going to be bitter sweet I believe. More bitter to some obviously lol. While wheels might not even be a thing anymore, how are you supposed to take on the backroads and single tracks?? Speed is fun but it's not everything.
I got one of the first T7’s in the country and decided to take it racing at the Bike Shed Cafe Racer Cup. I was middle pack and placed 16th fastest time of the weekend out of some 50+ riders. It’s a properly capable road bike, and I threw it down a bunch of greenlanes. Brilliant bike.
Went out for my first real ride on my brand new tenere today. 400km in blissful austrian country side. It's feel so good launching this thing through twisties. So happy with the bike 😊
You just showed us the reason why adventure bikes are preferred by some. The speeds that you had to travel to keep up with the super bikes, your concentration has to be on the road 100%. No time to enjoy looking at the scenery that you are going by. Give the adventure bike and slower pace any day.
You have good taste! Those are the fast colors for the T7...lol! I have one in the same colors, and...I’m looking to add a S1000XR to the garage... Don’t think I can let go of the T7...
Loving the sound 👍🏼 it's nice to get on a slower bike to take in the atmosphere of riding. I've just finished my speed triple t509. Great steady ride. Not balls to the wall lol.. safe riding 👍🏼
It only takes 40hp to do 160kms. Here in NZ we loose our license at 140kms. If you got a 200hp rocket ship I don't know what you'd do with the other 160hp. I know I'm a grumpy old bastard but I think we've lost the plot to a certain degree.
This is essentially why I switched to a dual sport. No point having a fast bike on the road. Even my dual sport is a Husky 701 with 70 ish HP. It goes plenty fast enough but it's the torque that makes it so fun to ride. It's a great city bike because of the instant torque. Fun without risking licence too much
Try putting both front and rear compression clicks on 1 click out, and put rebound about halt way in from standard settings. Will slow it diving as much on brakes. Rear spring preload at about 20 clicks in too, will help rear compression on acceleration.
There a few times where your mirror is outside of the white line and into the oncoming lane on bends very dangerous if another car is coming around on that bend.
Thats what the Police Advanced Course teaches you to enable you to get more vision around a corner but obviously if there's nothing coming the other way.
Hi mate, just wondering if you’ve adjusted your suspension? I’ve got a new t7 and the suspension is so wallowy and soft, gives me no confidence in the corners one bit.
I love my T7 on the road. I think my next set of tires will be street tires. I probably should have bought a road bike but half of my riding is dirt roads.
Is it moded or stock? And how this is for long highway routes comfort wise And i like how you're using this it was built for offroad and highway speed all rounder adventure tourer
Modifications so far full Black Widow exhaust system. I am looking to fit a comfort seat for longer journeys and ear plugs a must due to wind noise from tall screen
@@BikesofRye thats great you're running stock i like that And I would recommend you a airhawk air cushion they are great and comfortable and cheap for really long rides
I have done over 20,000 KM's on my T7 and it's very comfortable. The seat is hard so that might annoy after a couple hours but you do get used to it and it's very tall which may be a problem for some people but very comfy.
@@apz5817 I have a friend who often takes his wife for long dirt rides on his T7. It depends on where you want to ride? Lots of great off road riding, then yes, lots of road riding then no, go get something more comfortable that's for touring.
@@BikesofRye I could understand it being a good second bike to a sportsbike but whilst you've got your S1000 I can't imagine choosing the Yamaha instead. How does the Tenere give you pleasure that the BMW doesn't? The reason why I'm curious is that I've got a S1000RR and I'm thinking about either a 2nd bike or a replacement and I have no idea what will make me happy.
Hi Phil, I’m curious why you are looking to change your RR, a lot of people see that as the ultimate bike including on the road. I have an MT09 and would recommend them to anyone, especially the SP which has ohlins and a quick shifter. With a full exhaust it is such a satisfying bike to ride- mainly because of the gem of an engine. Conversely I am looking to go back towards a sports bike after around 3 years of mine.
"a bike that never gets talked about", You obviously only watch sport bike channels , the internet is swamped with T7 content, probably one of the most talked about bikes on the market at present because they are a back to basics bike that does everything well, mine is sitting in the shed fully loaded with camping gear ready for 250km of rough gravel backcountry riding tomorrow , they are a great all rounder.
Our children most probably won’t know what it’s going to be like to ride amongst a bunch of i.c.e. powered bikes producing the wonderful cacophony, experiencing the full brap brap symphonic roar!
@God Of God's I.. umm, unashamedly love my overly loud Arrow exhaust’s roar that my de-cat 890R growls out when revving at Teslas at stoplights🤣
Now trialing noise cameras this season , slowly eroding the experience away sadly.
Riding like this there won't be any children lol
The rumble, the shake, the heat. These are warm-blooded animal.

It is indeed a very light and flickable bike. I Did not expect it to handle so well onroad especially with the stock 70/30 tyres. Such a capable bike😊
Good to see a vid of the T7 on road rather than off and let's face it, that's where most are ridden.
Went out for my first real ride on my brand new tenere today. 400km in blissful austrian country side. It's feel so good launching this thing through twisties. So happy with the bike 😊
T7 one of the best smiles per mile bike ever.
This is the only adventure bike I've heard that sounds good to my ears.
Crf Africa Twin on full chat sounds amazing. 🤯
@@andrewkitchenuk I'd love to hear it (with me on it).
For how good this bike is offroad, and it is GOOD, it's crazy how good it is on the road too. So much fun! Need spring now pls
It's weirdly satisfying as a road bike and it shouldn't be 😅 - oh and no need for spring with this bike this is an all weather machine!!
@@BikesofRye the bike is fine, I'm just getting too soft to ride below freezing must be getting old haha

the classic bikes at the end of the video were really nice
I kept smiling while watching. I just bought one but do not have it home for now.
Great purchase! Great bike!
Didn't expect you to be out with ride Herts when I clicked on the video! I may see you around if you hang with them often!

Good thing I don’t live in that awful communist country.
if you could have only one bike im positive you'd choose this one

I’ve had springs and K Tech valve kits fitted to mine now.

As a group, you need to learn how to filter. The video was helpful on the actual bike capability. Thanks 😊
Love it, just bought one, tis like a KLR 650 on ‘roids, but my KTM’s are still keepers, 690 and 1190……different purposes!
Loving you work mate keep it up
You can buy a OBD Bluetooth and clean the O2 sensor error, there are videos here how to do it.
"Welcome to Bikes Abroad" Abroad? You mean Bikes of RYE.
Curious as to why you were parked in a disabled space at the beginning?
Great video as always, but you lads really don’t need to cross the white lines on a corner. It’s a road, not a track fs.
I love the tenere vids!
If I had time I would join you for a ride as you seem local to me!

I just got mine. Do you feel any vibrations in the foot pegs or handlebars?
Great video as always😎
Eey your vids are great. I just traded my mt07 for a brand new 890 duke picking it up in 2 weeks so excited haha.
The Yamaha pads are a bit 💩, put some Brembo SC pads in 👍
I find it scary that so many bikes ride together, trying to all keep up the pace….using the road as a track….and I’m a biker!

i put a black widow on my 2020 mt09 few weeks ago and had zero probs with it. no lights nothing. guessing the t7 is newer maybe?
Euro5 has an extra O2 sensor.
Was that the Z H2 in the beginning of the vid?
wow nice Z900 and Suz water kettle 2 stroke parked next to you and they look 😮immaculate
I dont get the point why it should be fun cornering on the T7? Just because its an adventure bike? There is no reason it should be no fun.
My dream bike beybe
Help please. At 1:55 in the video, an enclosed scooter(?) appears in the background. What is that thing?
That is bmw scooter fairly popular in Europe few years ago
