I've been looking for this recipe for a very long time since visiting Kawasan Falls. It was so good that I bought about 10 from the vendor and got to sit and chat with him while eating. If you’re wondering why there is so much sugar, the sugar in the dough is only used for the yeast to consume so the dough can rise there will still be sugar but it won’t be too sweet. So if you want to lessen the sugar do it with the filling.
Maybe have as a main course, on a plate with a steak knife & fork and side of whipped cream. I ate just one tiny square of dark chocolate while i learned this recipe! Maybe gobble up a cup of the chilled filling, for certain.

OMGGGGGGGGG DAGHAN SALAMATTTT!! I'm from Zamboanga City and ever since my trip from Cebu specifically when we went to kawasan falls last November 2021 I'm still craving for this donut. In my opinion if I was given the option between dunkin, krispy kreme or this one? I'll choose this any time of the week. Goshh I still remember the first bite, we were just finishing our long hike from the most heavenly place kawasan was when we encountered Manong with his Bilao filled with this chocolate powdered not so mini donuts and he had a chocolate sauce inside a plastic ketchup container. At first I was hesitant because I was not so fond of sweets but when I took the first bite it was so delicious I had to order another, it was freshly cooked and to my surprise kuya said it's unli filling with just a pinch of his ketchup container filled with choco syrup it was magical✨ He really completed that once in a lifetime trip, I only pray he's still there? Because it was before the super typhoon hit cebu and I saw the damages and I was deeply saddened, I hope Cebu will make a speedy recovery because I'm planning to bring my family and get the experience I got before. I've been in kawasan falls in cebu. I totally recommended the place. Its really wonderful and lots of foreigners coming. Although you need to walk for about 45 minutes or more, its still worth it. Too bad, I was only in 1st falls 😢 but if you want to go up more you can ask the tour guide. They will assist you very well. I forgot how many falls are their 😅
I love that you're using milk powder. I've always thought there needs to be some way to use it in baking/desserts, but I could never find anything. This looks delicious and I'll definitely try this for my birthday. No better gift for myself:D

I tried this earlier and it is seriously delicious. It is not that sweet for me. One factor would be that I substituted a bit of powdered sugar, in the glaze, with cornstarch. Another thing would be to not too much filling. It's worth the time and effort to make. Eating in moderation is really something that we always have to keep in mind.

I've made this and it's not that sweet because of the streusels. It was bittersweet, perfect for my dark chocolate craving. The filling was just right. i was thinking it was really sweet but not at all. My family didn't love it coz it was too bitter (they're not into dark cocoa) for them but I love the balance.

I usually don't like watching long cooking videos but yours was done very professionally and very well done! I also appreciate that you had a little music in it but it was so low that it didn't distract me from paying attention to what the video was all about. As a common knowledge, there are around 120 to 175 languages in the Philippines. In the city of Manila, the use of mixed language (i.e. Engalog and Taglish) is prevalent. Many says that the two mixed language are the same but my college professor who is a Filipino major says that there's a difference between the two. Engalog contains more English while Taglish contains more Tagalog.
As a clarification, the language that Sunshine David used is called Engalog. That doesn't justify your assertion that "Seems Tagalog is so poor you have to use English to substitute your thoughts" 😉

Its not that complicated
Cornstarch is usually dissolved in equal amt of water.
Anna Olson once said: Do not add the salt, not until you have let the yeast set in to the mixture and feed on the sugar. The salt kills the yeast activity and may damage the quality of your dough.

Yes po pwede sa 180°C niyo din siya i bake, bantayan niyo lang po at di ko pa po na try siya i oven pero probably katulad lang din siya ng haba ng oras ibake sa mga buns 15-20 minutes

I've made this and it's not that sweet because of the streusels. It was bittersweet, perfect for my dark chocolate craving. The filling was just right. i was thinking it was really sweet but not at all. My family didn't love it coz it was too bitter (they're not into dark cocoa) for them but I love the balance.
