I’m going to save all of you some time and money. This headset sucks. The mic quality will pick up EVERYTHING. You have a car driving two blocks away? They’ll hear it. You’re breathing quietly with the mic away from your mouth? They’ll hear it. Is someone using the restroom from the other side of the house? They will without a doubt hear the toilet flushing. And although you can mute the mic by switching it up, it won’t actually mute it. People can still hear your voice even when you switch it to mute. The sound quality isn’t good either. Regular apple earphones are 100% better it’s just a shame the mic isn’t compatible with ps4
Used a few pairs of these myself for the ps4. Mic isn’t amazing but people understood me still, for the price you can’t complain. The flip to mute is literally the best feature on any headset I ever owned since I can so easily choose to play quietly instead of chatting with the party. The audio is nice and loud. The one big setback is that the plastic part by the ear has snapped on me for both headsets I owned. Still lasted a year both times before it snapped and they are still usable. Still great though. They’re decently comfortable but bother my ears a bit after more than a few hours of use. Getting the A40’s soon as a significant upgrade, and by this point I trust Astro’s quality. I recommend A10’s for anyone wanting a PS4 headset that’s actually half decent.

@@connorking1989 I don’t see much of a difference actually. The A40’s are just a little better but that is one letdown honestly. The A40’s are super comfortable, and just better in almost every way so I recommend them more. But the A10’s will get the job done still. My voice comes through a little clearer with the A40’s but it’s not a dramatic difference tbh

Also guys make sure your cord is plugged ALL the way in on both sides. Especially on the headset part. Needs to have no space between the jack and then cord

I got them as a spare headset. They are comfortable but after about 6 hours the top of my head hurts. I’ll stick with my A50s and if there is a problem I’ll use A10s

Okay so the Astro is good build quality and stuff but it’s not that loud it brings more of a bass for music but it’s not that loud and the mic quality could’ve been a bit better

Had this headset for a year and a half, Imo not worth the $60.
- Sound quality is poor, you can barely hear some games and dialogue with volume at max.
-They are somewhat heavy and have headaches after wearing them for too long. Can’t tell if it’s the squeeze, weight, or combo of both. (Btw I wear a 7 1/4 in hats, so my head size is right around avg)
- Mic isn’t the best, it’s sensitive and sometimes flipped up (off position) will randomly pick up sound .
Imo they’re are much better headsets in this price range or cheaper. Yes, the build quality is good, they plenty of bend in them, and they look good for $60. However, in the big areas where it matters they fall way below expectation and are better suited at $30. Matter fact that’s why on eBay they go for less than $30 brand new. If you want budget go JBL, Cool Masters, Corsair, Sennheisser etc. Don’t go with these dedicated “Gaming” headset company’s unless you’re willing to invest real $$$. Even then, for $200 or $300 I’d suggest you buy from an actual audio company.
I’m glad I found this comment, it seems to work for everyone but me. I play H1z1, & I can hear vehicles from far away, but every other sound is canceled out, every explosion or shotgun shot sounds like ear rape, sound is just terrible in all. I’d like to get anyone else’s opinion on these
