I have to agree I traded in my 2021 Ranger XLT Sport for a 2022 Frontier ProX night and day with build and ride quality. Daily Driving the Ranger was a mess this drives like my Titan did smooth and comfortable. Cabin noise is non existent great for long road trips. So far I’m very impressed with it. It’s one of the best looking midsize trucks available. You’re not gonna get a Pro4X model for 40k though the msrp is 45k and Nissan is not offering any incentives on the new Frontier.

In 2014 I bought my first truck; a 2012 Nissan Frontier with 31,000. 7 years later I still love everything about it. Super reliable with a lot of acceleration for a small truck. I didn't like the 2022 redesign when I first saw it, but it just keeps growing on me more and more.

I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road which I do love. But I will happily admit the seating position and ride comfort suck on long multi hour drives. If I were shopping today, this would be very intriguing.
I agree. I am a 34 year Toyota guy and I admit that the seating position in Tacomas is horrible. Also the quality is at its worst in my 34 years of owning them. The 3.5l with the automatic is a pathetic excuse of a drive train. And whoever the moron was who decided to ditch the oil filter up on top of the engine and go with a stupid canister disaster underneath the skid plate , needs to be taken out back and given a good lashing !!- With all that said, I will be looking, at the new Frontier to replace my Taco.
These are the primary reasons I sold my Tacoma. On rural 2 lane state highways it was good, on 4 lane highways it was loud inside and I had to keep the gas peddle down to keep it going 75-80 (legal speed limits), especially if there was wind. I had highway tires and Bilstein shocks and still after long multi hour drives I so was exhausted. I traded it for a nice Silverado crew cab and could drive that for 6-8hrs and not be tired. And the Silverado got better gas mileage and just sailed down highways.
Wife just traded in her jeep on a New Dark Blue Pearl 2022 Frontier I have a 13 with 170.000 miles. Never been in the shop not once. Still runs like they day we brought it home 8 years ago. The Wrangler was an overprice Pile. We had the new one on the Highway yesterday. I gotta say it's smooth as glass. She is a fully optioned SV. Right around 45Gs out the door. Roughly the same we paid for a used Wrangler with 17.0000 miles on it. Only thing we will do to it is a Camper shell and rims and tires. Upgraded shocks and springs at some point. My 13 has been bomb proof. Hope the 22 is the same. Fingers crossed. Pretty spot on revue.
You lifted it 2.5” or that’s how much higher it is than a regular SV? I was looking at a different review and he said ground clearance actually decreased from 11” to the current 9” with this new model. I’m really in the market for a Colorado ZR2 but this thing is really starting to appeal to me.
I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 224,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
This truck looks and so far sounds like it's going to be a good product and it's light years ahead of the old design with only a tiny increase in price. THIS truck is a HIT.
It's not light years ahead. The only difference is looks. That's it yes this design looks better but I have a 2020 and it's the same engine and transmission and just a different exterior and interior that's it.
@@ghostlegit yes Nissan debuted the powertrain in 2020. That's not news. But the exterior and interior are unrecognizable between the 2 generations. Different suspension and steering. Road vibration and noise is night and day. I assume you've driven both? We get it the power is the same, but "same exact car" it is not sir
I just got my new 2022 Pro4X after selling my 2013 Tacoma TRD and the difference as a daily driver is epically in the Nissan's favor. It's actually fun to drive. The steering is tight and super accurate, the cornering is actually pretty flat for a pickup and the cabin is incredibly quiet. I'll repeat, incredibly quiet. The brakes are much more linear than the Tacoma set up and the driving position with the Nissan seat design, is super comfortable, especially when compared with the Tacoma. The engine is also more powerful than the Toyota six and acceleration is excellent with just a light touch of the pedal. I got the Fender audio and it's worth the money if you need music when you drive, although the EQ is ridiculously bass heavy at the original factory settings. The rest of the tech including the navigation is fast enough and intuitive. I'll never rock crawl with this truck but I would not hesitate taking it up a fire trail or on a 5,000 mile road trip. It's a very comfortable and capable vehicle. Not bad looking either.
As a last gen Xterra Pro 4X owner, I'm so glad Nissan decided to do this the way they did. Can't wait to check it out once we get some in Canada. Good news is, being based off of the old one, it should be (mechanically, at least), pretty reliable and bombproof. My Xterra runs like a tank...
Thanks for talking about the changes in the look and feel of the truck. You guys described the changes in a way non of the other reviewers have. Your comentary is especially useful for someone who has never driven or considered Nissan. Thanks again!
I have a 2019 Frontier S V6 4x4. I bought it because I didn't want the new version truck that was about to come out. My truck is honest, reliable and unadulterated by techno gizmo's that I neither want nor need. Oh, and by the way, it drives just fine on the highway.
Great review guys! Plus... Love how you spoke about what the engineers had in mind! Very good talking points! (Many reviewers just vomit out the specs etc...) I like that you guys just say how skeptical you were! More importantly - Kudos to Nissan for the simple interior and (NO iPad on the dash! Yeaaaa!!!) Working with the suspension to be best in-class!
I've had two trucks in my life, both smaller. The first was a used 2001 Nissan Frontier, loaded, and then a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. While the Taco had more usable space, the Nissan, even though it was older, was worlds better in ride quality. My wife always teases me that I am not a truck guy, but this truck seems to keep pulling me to it. I will drive the GMC Canyon when it comes out, it looks great, but this truck continually seems to be precisely what I want/need. Drove the Ranger. - it's fine, but it's boring inside. Drove the existing GM smaller trucks - no chance in Hell. Had a Tacoma - everything they say is spot-on. HATE the high floor. Well done, Nissan, well done.
I just bought one and love it. I traded 2015 Trd sport for it and it’s light years beyond that truck. The only cons I can give it are that the seats need to go back another two inches. I’m 6’6” so this won’t be a problem for most. Second is camera quality, it’s on par with 2015 trd, just fuzzier. The trd camera was more squared pixelated.
Drove and 07 for 14 years till the transmission decided to go. Waited and waited for months for the new 2022 to come out. Eventually I bought a 2019 F150 Ecoboost. Glad I did, but I would gladly go back to Nissan PRO4x if and when the time comes.
I would LOVE to see some reviews of the SV 4x4 truck, which is the trim that 90% of people will actually buy, but every reviewer is obsessed with the Pro4x. I am truly getting annoyed with all the Pro4x reviews. Raiti's Rides is the only reviewer to evaluate the 2022 SV and that's a crime.
After 7 new Dodge/Rams since 2007, 4 of them 2500 4x4/Cummins I traded my 2018 2500/Cummins for a Tactical green 4x4 SV with convience and tech group. I have 2750 miles on my new Datsun and it is in the shop with issues. The cloth on the front seat has separated from the seat bottom. The rep looked at it on 01/12/22 and approved a new seat. The seat has a slight rock from the play in the electric adjuster linkage. The transmission has surging issues ever since they idled it up to eliminate the rattle/harmonic vibtration in the sheet metal on the engine with 300 miles on it and something is not jiving, Idon't know maybe it is the throttle body thing communicating with the transmission that it is time to go and it means quick. And that is when a Tervis tumbler of water or whatever it has in it pours all over your center console. The dealer has had me in a rental Rouge since the rep looked at my truck and a rep from the factory has called me on 01/13 and on 01/14. As far as design flawsgo the center console has about as much use as a bread box turned on end , the cup holders will not hold anything unless it is 3 3/8 in diameter and straight sided. The bluetooth dies when you parlk and kill the ignition. If you are on an important phone call and need to finish before switching to your handset, which is not seamless at all then you must finish with the engine running. Nissan took until 2022 to invent the gas powered cell phone, I am sure the Climate Change crowd is going to love that one. The popups that remind you to increase the volume on your connected device and the one that reminds you that"your call history has been updated" are so old at 2700 miles I can't even imagine keeping this truck for that reason alone. They hang on screen for 4 to 5 seconds. I didn't enter into my blue tooth to read, I did it to make a call. Why don't any of you reviewers point out these real world consumer tips. Their is a lot to love about this truck but if you are a dyed in the wool truck buyer like me then these are far more important than the remodel they put on the gen II. I bought this as my retirement vehicle as I am 62yo and chose this truck based on my families good history with the brand. This is my first new Nissan and my first small truck in 45 years.
@@aspe7187 Front seat bottom was replaced. Blue tooth drops from time to time and no device can see the truck fort a few hours to a couple of days. Front seat still rocks in certain positions. Interior map lights do not work any longer when truck is switched off with light switch set in center position. When pulling a trailer only running lights work. No turn signals or brake lights on the flat plug. It is a factory tow package and has been tested and it doesn't work. I kick myself daily for buying a first year run remodel vehicle. Couple of times a week I get in and start up and the radio is on am instead of fm where I left it. I think it is mostly computer related issues. Master tech told me last week that Nissan recently released an updated flash. We will see. Been looking at a 2022 full size again.70k is a hard price to swallow.
I saw the new Frontier at a dealer. It is smaller than I expected but I’m not saying that’s a negative. This does do certain things better than the Tacoma (for example: seat comfort, seat position and floor height, and interior road noise…and engine power.)
I think Pathfinder and Amanda and the new Z show Nissan is doin it right. They just needed to get rid of that old French boss and go back to their Asian roots, great job Nissan love ❤️
I traded my 16 Frontier SV for a 19 F150 5.0/10 speed. I miss the size of the Frontier when the wife and I go vacationing (parking). I'm really disappointed in the quality of the Ford, one of the main bolts in the steering broke just driving through a parking lot and now it's been in the shop for 2+ weeks for what's looking like a new transmission at 46k. Hope I can work out a good trade deal on the new Fronty....we'a see.
Well made, and informative video. I have owned several Nissans over the years (2 Maximas, 1 Altima, 1 Sentra, 1 Pathfinder, 2 Armadas). I am not Pro-Nissan over anything, it just has happened to be what I bought. I am comparing this to other Mid-Sized PUs... I drove a 2022 Toyota Taco, CrewCab, 4x4, TRD. I was working a surveillance case in Salt Lake City. I drove throughout Utah for a few days.. Then drove 1925 miles back home (98.5% Highway). I ... HATED the truck. Hate.. And I have owned several Toyotas. I assumed I would love it. It was seriously the worst riding vehicle I have driven in 20 years.. I can only compare it to my 97 TJ w/6" lift, 35" tires... If I was driving and I drove over a bug, the Taco bucked and bounced like I was driving down a fire-road at 80 mph. I am hoping when I go to test the Frontier, that it has better a better on-road drive. I have a unique situation for my "commute". I live in the boonies in Northern MI. I drive nearly 100 miles one way from my home to my office... Then home again. The kicker is the last 12 miles is very rural.. and the last 3 are dirt/mud, and the last of the 3 is on a seasonal road (the road I live on), that is not maintained by the county. It commonly has 12-24" gullies/washouts. So.... As much as I'd love to have a car because 90% of my drive is 80-85mph, I can't make it home in parts of spring/fall, and winter. My disdain towards the Taco cannot be highlighted enough. I have a few friends that told me there had to be something wrong with it. IDK.. Perhaps, but IDK what. I definitely do not drive slow, but it felt like it was going to flip, and it bucked at any speed over 70. I was driving 80-90 most of the way home from Utah.. I did average 21.5 mpg.. Which for as hard as I drove it, it was more than fair. I think I drove as fast as I did to get out of the truck.
If I could get a Frontier ride and Frontier seating with Tacoma looks and reliability... and a manual transmission if I'm honest. I'm sure the new transmission is quality, but in my mind if you get a Nissan you get a manual and avoid the problems.
I am trading in my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport for the Pro-4X asap. The Taco has terrible seats and the transmission sucks. The best thing is the resale value. KBB has it at the same price I paid five years ago.
I agree. I don’t like my Tacoma. I’ve been in it for about 4 months and I just don’t like it. The trans SUCKS. It’s under powered. And it lacks in features. A bunch of cheap plastic. Sound system is horrible. Infotainment is horrible as well. You’re basically buying a truck like that for reliability. The one good thing I do enjoy is the MPG. But the Tacoma definitely needs a redesign now.
@@etamez4365 I feel your pain. The best thing is that I have had no mechanical problems. I think the redesigned Tacoma is coming out next fall but with the trade in value being so high I am not waiting another year. I really hope the Frontier is as nice as it seems to be.
How's the turning radius? The last one has the worst turning radius of any production car ever made. It's up there with semi trucks. Nice looking truck either way
I hope Nissan keep this design for many years like they did the old one. Smart play for resale value. Toyota does that with the Tacoma. Do it right, it ages right.
The worst thing about a truck is the lack of long term storage - I like to keep camping gear loaded on the ready and would get things stolen from my Tacoma. Now I have a Land Cruiser. It's hard to warrant the extra cost for a really nice bed cap like the RSI Smart Camper (3-4K) when you can just get an SUV. You have to really NEED the open bed feature otherwise a true SUV makes sense. Of course, that's if you like to keep gear stored in your vehicle. The other issue, is I wish the rear seat would fold completely up and out of the way and the floors would be flat. (F-150 and Silverados are like that) When I had my Tacoma, I ran out of room fast. Plus, as soon as you add stuff, the rear end sinks and you have to add a leaf etc. I'm really digging this Frontier, but I hope the bring back the Xterra - an suv version of this would be awesome!
Just came from the Oct. 14th TESTDRIVE of the Ridgeline. Seams like they have changed their tune. In this video they swear the Frontier drives just as well as the Ridgeline. But in the Ridgeline video they say the Ridgeline is in a class by itself. So Everyday Driver, which is it? (In the Ridgeline video you say the Ridgeline is the one you'd buy - do you stand by that??)
The Ridgeline was the reference for the ride on new Frontier, and they got close. We didn't say the new Frontier rides as well as the Ridgeline, but it is so much better than the prior Frontier's ride, it's remarkable. Also mentioned here - the Frontier is a solid rear and the Ridgeline is an independent rear. The Ridgeline is still better in sheer ride, no question. The Frontier has become a truck we'd consider in this market, (We'd rather the Frontier off road) but if ride is the primary consideration, the Ridgeline is still better. This Frontier piece was actually shot after that Ridgeline film, but due to the "just released" nature of the Frontier this was posted first. Our apologies for any confusion. Thanks for watching.
All we see is the Pro4x. There is another vid on a SV that’s been optioned out. On road the front end is bouncing all over the place. Great for off road showing the long suspension travel. I do like the look, but Nissan falls a little short on options. The Ranger FX2 is available with a differential locker and it can tow up to 7500lbs optioned right.
I'm lucky enough to have a family member who has a Nissan dealership. He has a previous gen Frontier and got the opportunity to drive the new one. Since he knows i'm looking for a mid-size and that I ordered a Gladiator months ago, he gave me a call saying "you have to test drive it, you simply have to". So he decided to order one with my personnal specs, saying "I don't even want a deposit because if you're not taking it, i'll sell it to somebody else within an hour. That's how good that truck is". So, if Stellantis can't get his orders straight and if my Glady ain't at the dealership in November (7 months of waiting would be way too much for me), i'll seriously consider that Frontier. It checks so many boxes.
I know you’re constrained to what Nissan let’s you do on a press release so not faulting you by any means, but a little car could do those trails they gave you. It will interesting to see it in the wild.
They should make the Xterra based on this truck. They will sell a ton. Knowing a Nissan, it will take the, another 5 years before coming to that realization.
Great job as always guys,I have had every pickup under the sun including 3 titan pro 4xs. Had a taco as well and almost got another one today. But GOD WILLING tomorrow im going to get my new frontier pro 4x ,its the right truck at the right time . Ot took Nissan a decade tobget it just right but in this world of instant everything, this truck just proves that somtimes you have tobtake your time to het it right. Thanks Nissan, time for my 4th pro 4x, just a smaller version this time and thankbyou JESUS FOR BLESSING ME TO BE ABLE TO OWN IT!
Nissan just recalled the transmission for roll away concerns while in park. The cab is small, yal talk like its an SUV back there, give me a break. Its about the same size of the tacoma except the back seat sits more upright so you can get less than an inch extra leg room over a tacoma. An SUV offers way more space than this. There's nothing about the frontier that wows me or stands out from the class. Its not class leading in towing, payload, offroad, fuel economy, or performance. Compared to the tacoma it is a porker which takes away from that 310 hp rating which means nothing because in trucks we know its all about how much torque and at how low rpm. Nissan can add more sound deadening material to make it quieter and add hydraulic cab mounts to make it feel smoother, but underneath the skin this truck is old and is still the same truck from the previous model.
I'm still pretty surprised that 9speed still is only able to get like 17-18 mpg on the street, 19mpg combined street and highway. That's less than the 6 speed tacoma gets. Is it due to the extra weight?
@@robo2729 fair enough, but it makes no logical sense that a 9 speed transmission which has higher gears available to shift to should get worse gas mileage than a 6 speed, other than simply bad design. More gears should = better gas mileage
@@robo2729 no but they do cross shop options to get better deals and lower running costs. Toyota offers a 4 cyl option for that very reason so your wrong
Looks promising, can't wait to test drive one. Hopefully it's better than a Hyundai or Kia (13:40) and will last more than 3 years before everything starts to fall apart and break.
Recommends the Honda Ridgeline ... hate how trucks feel to drive ... why would anyone listen to you in review one of these when two minutes in you've already blown your credibility out of the water?
Every truck maker is trying to make their trucks ride better with every new generation. And keep in mind that our guys both own large SUVs and tiny focused sports cars - they can deal with an aggressive ride. Thanks for watching!
If your only using truck as a work vehicle you might not care about ride. If you using it as off-roading play thing might not car about ride. If your using your truck to go on long highway trips often. If your carrying passenger's on long trip vacation hauler you would care about ride and handling. Driving Dynamics are important to many people. If truck is your multi purpose vehicle. Some engineers are concerned about ride and handling. Dodge with it's coil springs. Air suspension in pickup trucks. Honda Ridgeline is Unibody platform is not Body On Frame. It also has Independent Rear Suspension. Even heard GM was offering Rear Independent Suspension in some Full-Size trucks. Toyota engineer Mike Sweers talks about ride comfort design in New Tundra TFL review.
Now Can They Redesign The Maxima One Last Time! Rebadge The Q50 That Infiniti Is Discontinuing With The 9Spd Auto, Restyle It A Little And I Promise It Would Sell & Nissan Would Be Back!
I've had my 2nd gen since I bought it new in 2005. It is still me daily. Love the looks of the 3rd gen but swore I'd never buy another after Nissan f@!cked me over on the paint.
While this would have certainly been a contender when shopping for a mid-sized truck earlier in the year had it been out, I still think I would have ended up with a 2021 Ridgeline like I did. For me, who was looking for a nice, everyday truck with a good ride, the interior and amenities of the Ridgeline are just leaps and bounds above anything else in the class, and that includes this new Frontier.
We have a 2019 Ridgeline with regular transmission lever and six speed, I refuse the new 9 speed in Ridgeline and push button transmission. Our 2019 infotainment is a hot mess. I think Honda reliability is better than Nissan but this Nissan outside not offering a telescoping wheel is perfect
I have to say this vid is a real letdown. I was excited when I saw the thumbnail and I've been excited for this truck coming out, but it's obvious you guys are out of your element here. Going on and on about the on-road ride (which is important) but no talk of bed, tailgate, towing etc. What about the frame and those low body lines accommodating rock sliders and real bumpers? These are a few of the many things that will make this a true Tacoma competitor (or not). And for the record, I'm not a "truck guy", I'm a sportscar guy, but trucks enable car stuff like racing and also home projects and outdoors activities etc. At their best, they represent true utility - which is ESPECIALLY valuable to automotive hobbyists not just "truck guys".
I think Nissan made a good truck here. Key word good. Not as capable off-road as the TRD-Pro or a ZR2 and not as good of a ride or features as a Ridgeline. It’s an inbetweener. Which is a good thing. Good effort all around.

The reviews for these things seem to have a consistent theme around impressive noise control and a good ride.
Truck seems just right.
They have an insane deal on their 18 month lease. The Residual for some of the models is in the 90s!!!
Thanks for talking about the changes in the look and feel of the truck. You guys described the changes in a way non of the other reviewers have. Your comentary is especially useful for someone who has never driven or considered Nissan. Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching!
10:55 - this one looks damn perfect.
I just bought the new Frontier 4x4 Pro, all leather interior and lifted 2.5", truck is awesome inside and out.
these two are the best in my opinion, 4x watched. love the frontier so much
Nissan's that dropout that came back to our front door with a bachelor's. Love to see it.
To early to tell wait 2 years to see if it’s got problems I never buy gen 1 models
took them 17 years but they did it 😂
I ❤ this new Nissan. I owned a 1989 Hardbody. It's time for another Nissan Pickup!
I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these!
Just the right size and a great new design, must be time to upgrade my B2300… this is really tempting.
How about an update?
Hoping this return to form for Nissan is a sign for the 400Z. Extremely surprised they haven’t brought back the Xterra
Indeed. They have to regret killing it. It had quite the cult following.
I think Nissan will bring the xterra back to compete with the new redesign Toyota 4Runner……whenever that happens is yet to be known….
not for the US, search Nissan Terra, that's the X-terra, I think that's what the Pathfinder should be, and the X-terra like a different trim imo
There is a blue one in my neighborhood and it keeps catching my eye. So much that I came to see your review on it. Now I kind of want one.
I'm pleased that Nissan is actually doing something right.
I think Pathfinder and Amanda and the new Z show Nissan is doin it right. They just needed to get rid of that old French boss and go back to their Asian roots, great job Nissan love ❤️
Llevo 10 años con mi Front pro X 4x4 y excelente vehiculo
Pienso comprar la 2023
👍
Green makes all cars better
FDE for me!
Picked up my Pro 4x last week and live in Utah. Now I’ll have to travel those same roads I recognize in your video. Thanks for the review.
Good honest review, helpful and inspiring! Thanks.
Please give us an Xterra based on this Nissan!
100%
That would be sick, a bronco killer lol
Does the base 4x4 without the off-road shocks still have the good ride that you are talking about?
100% We have a fully optioned SV Rides way smoother then our 13. I'm thinking the hyd mounted cab has something to do with it.
Excellent review. Do you guys think the base models will ride as well?
How's the turning radius? The last one has the worst turning radius of any production car ever made. It's up there with semi trucks. Nice looking truck either way
I always told people i love my frontier but 3 things id like to change. 1 turning radius, 2 gas mileage, 3 driver seat leg space.
The omission of a telescopic steering wheel is to bad. Hopefully they address that.
It would be nice to get an SV 4x4 review not everyone needs a Pro4X!
Very true!
I hope Nissan keep this design for many years like they did the old one. Smart play for resale value. Toyota does that with the Tacoma. Do it right, it ages right.
Where are the turn signal mirrors? Why the small center storage? Love the red and green exterior colors though.
What the difference between ride pro4x and prox?
Very informative, well said gentlemen👍🏼
@@TestDriveVideos Thanks for the response and clarification. Much appreciated! And thanks for the great channel!!
The ranger is a pos compared to the frontier.
We need nissan frontier R with gtr nismo engine in it and borla 3" exhaust system with hankook tyres 305/ 65R18
I love my 2024 pro4x , awesome truck !
Great review
Good review & great Nissan.
Zero gravity seats available on SV ?
Nice review, nice truck. However, fog lights look outdated and it needs rear climate vents.
I know you’re constrained to what Nissan let’s you do on a press release so not faulting you by any means, but a little car could do those trails they gave you. It will interesting to see it in the wild.
You guys are awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Did they only have pro-4x for driving? I really hope an SV with the long bed rides the same.
Maybe…probably not since different suspension.
14:18 Those amber lights
would be nicer if visible.
GOOD REVIEW & GREAT TRUCK.
can't wait to get myself a Pro 4X. looking so darn better than Tacoma (so outdated)
Paul is the man of steel balls
Looks so handsome in that green color 😍
Glad you found one! Thanks for watching and we’re pleased this was a helpful video in the process. Congratulations!
Great job!
If this Pro4x is priced below or at Ridgeline top trim, then I’ll buy it
Does anyone know how much there going to undercut the Tacoma? If the can undercut it enough I believe they have a winner!
Apples to Apples about $3,000.00
Nissan just recalled the transmission for roll away concerns while in park.
High Praise for a Nissan. You guys didn't mention anything about if it's had a CVT or not
It’s a 9 speed automatic, and I’m pretty sure we mentioned it. Thanks for watching!
Frontier for me please
could use a longer bed. just a bit more.
Love that green color...
As soon as I gather a good downpayment, I will be grabbing one of these.which model?still undecided but it's time for a truck.
Nice looking truck.
I'm still pretty surprised that 9speed still is only able to get like 17-18 mpg on the street, 19mpg combined street and highway. That's less than the 6 speed tacoma gets. Is it due to the extra weight?
Peoplemdo not buy trucks when they are that concerned about gas mileage you hippy
I did NOT see that coming!
Looks promising, can't wait to test drive one. Hopefully it's better than a Hyundai or Kia (13:40) and will last more than 3 years before everything starts to fall apart and break.
Is the transmission a CVT?
No, it's a 9 speed automatic. Thanks for watching!
Recommends the Honda Ridgeline ... hate how trucks feel to drive ... why would anyone listen to you in review one of these when two minutes in you've already blown your credibility out of the water?
The reviewers priorities are comfort due to their old age!
Every truck maker is trying to make their trucks ride better with every new generation. And keep in mind that our guys both own large SUVs and tiny focused sports cars - they can deal with an aggressive ride. Thanks for watching!
I would buy a Ridgeline about as much as I would vote for dementia Joe.
I would take another Ridgeline any day
All the reviews about every truck complain about trucks riding like trucks. I guess I’m weird because I don’t buy a truck for it to ride like a Benz.
Rogue needs a recall already.
I've had my 2nd gen since I bought it new in 2005. It is still me daily. Love the looks of the 3rd gen but swore I'd never buy another after Nissan f@!cked me over on the paint.
I'll take a Ford Maverick with a 2L eco-boost and 4 wheel drive please....
Ridgeline isn't a truck.
The interior looks like it was designed by Darth Vader
Who wants a truck that rides like a Ridgeline? Call it what you want, but it's not a truck.
I think Nissan made a good truck here. Key word good. Not as capable off-road as the TRD-Pro or a ZR2 and not as good of a ride or features as a Ridgeline. It’s an inbetweener. Which is a good thing. Good effort all around.
The unibody being less capable than frame is completely false. That's not why frame vehicles have frames. That falsity needs to go away
Search Article Mid-Size Trucks Don't Need Frames
so when can i buy. lol
This is the Tacoma-Killer. Sorry not sorry.
Unless we are talking about a delivery truck, anyone who buys a 2x4 truck is insane. There is no reason to not get such a randomly useful option.
