Live Axle Swap for the Turbo Go Kart! | Tillotson 212 Install

- The turbo kart finally gets a live axle!
In this video we install a go power sports live axle kit onto our 60's go kart! What it took to install it was cutting off all of the old parts with the one wheel peel frame. We had previously welded a new engine plate onto there so that wasn't an issue. After that was done we worked on cleaning up the metal and prepping the surface in order to weld on some axle bearing hangers. With these installed it was as simple as adding some paint and bolting them up! We also took the time to convert the kart to a hydraulic brakes so this go cart could really drift!

To be fair, this engine isn't stock. It has a mikuni carb. So you're looking at a $400 engine counting the air filter and exhaust. Plus they had to remove the govenor. It's cool, but i'm not really sold on it. You can buy race/offroad prepped 212's that put out 12hp for around $300 minus the exhaust and filter. I'd probably opt for the race prepped 212 from NR as it comes with interrnal mods and an aluminum flywheel and has already had the govenor removed Of course, I only run big blocks so doesn't really matter.

I’m currently growing it out because I’m in college and now is a good time to try new things. I’ve never grown it out before so idk if my hair is gona fro out forever or if it is going to fall and have some sick ass curly aqua man locks. In the meantime believe it or not but the birds nest is actually a style and I kinda like it. I do appreciate your guys concern and it might look like an acorn when it’s puffy and in the garage but it fits my goofy ass personality and all I’ve heard is good things from my friends at school.

Do a real go kart. 125cc or bigger shifter man. Too many go karts with tillotson and pred engines.
No, there is a reason that there are predators. A 125cc cheap motor is weak and powerless. If you build a shifter kart, you need a 125 or bigger two stroke. That's an expensive motor. Besides, not only is it go kart heritage, but the $99 predator can make 11hp with free mods. And 15hp for free if you port and polish it. You cant beat the predator. It's cheap, fast, and reliable. And dont complain about them not doing anything different, this kart is a TURBOCHARGED PREDATOR KART. Not many people do it effectively.
