Honestly, I love Jace even more as a character. I was pretty scared about his compleation, but blue being blue he’s sorta countered it with his magic.🥰🥰🥰🥰
Man, whoever decided over at creative that compleation didn't have to be voluntary (or heavily coerced) for this generation of Phyrexia really just allowed for so much lazy writing and uncountable numbers of plot holes. Remember when phyrexian characters had actual backstories that showed why they decided to become phyrexians, or never knew any other way, and could run the range of morales from gix to xantcha? Instead we have what's effectively a zombie virus that takes multiple surgeries (except when it doesn't), leaves you with no will of your own (except when it doesn't) and irreversibly damages the body in the process of compleation (except when it doesn't). Without consistent rules of how it works, every interaction with it just feels completely arbitrary. This whole event was built up for years, and the invasion itself has played out like a rushed wet fart. Can you imagine how simple and easy it would have been for the Phyrexians if they had invaded only one or a couple planes at once, saving the heavily fortified ones like Ravnica and Cappena for last, after swelling their numbers with the entire populations of more easily-defeated planes? Sorry, I'm just frustrated. There are a lot of individual character moments that are REALLY well done in these stories, but the overall plot is just so square-peg-round-hole stupid.
I thought it was just me, but this and The One Ring have killed it for me. Hasbro is doing a shit job and Wotc's lack of spine in pushing back is obvious.

@@alexanderficken9354 Battles aren't that good and I honestly cannot find any appeal to the UB stuff beyond pandering. The story was terrible. During Urza's time, it took 1) nearly destroy a plane to push the Phyrexians back, and 2) de-powering every Planeswalker ever to push them back a second time. This time, it took one newly-ascended angel and her glowing sword, and one angsty teen who can shoot fireballs to end the threat indefinitely. Ever heard of stakes? Narrative consistency?
LOL I guess the real treasure of Ixalan was a compass leading to true love :P
Maybe Jace and Vraska reuinite and become "good" phyrexians, leading stragglers that might not have had their brains fried or got trapped.
The phyrexian ark was pretty decent the last few sets but the ending feels like a let down. I wanted them to compleat emrukul😭
Bodies, Bodies, Bodies 😂😂😂
I've been following mtg since the start. I hate where this storyline is going, and its turned me off to the game itself.
I thought it was just me, but this and The One Ring have killed it for me. Hasbro is doing a shit job and Wotc's lack of spine in pushing back is obvious.
I think it's fine, story was fine but could be better, I wouldn't go far enough to say I despise anyone for it tho. The game is getting really cool additions and I like that
@@alexanderficken9354 Battles aren't that good and I honestly cannot find any appeal to the UB stuff beyond pandering.
Capenna was hyped as this one plane who had the answer to Phyrexia, and it's literally the same species that Atraxa originated from. The heck?
@@BobNinjaCat atraxa was a mirran angel, cappennan angels are very different in design. Do UB cards just upset you for their premise or something? I think game design trumps all else, and what they are currently doing is much better than the fire design era of eldraine imo.
@@alexanderficken9354 mirran non-artifact creatures were brought to Mirrodin from other planes by Memnarch.
Dang, not first
Still close man!
Nah. Ertai and Belbe is the saddest story in Magic.
Story sucks now. They’re all bad
why didnt jace just counterspell all the phyrexians
Foil JTMS? Humble brags. Lol
This story is really weak.
Go to 2:59 if you want to skip the sponsor bullcrap like i did lol. I want to hear the story not some sponsor bullcrap.
It’s why I timestamp it my dude. So people can skip if they choose
@@AetherHub No offense Sieben but i just don't care about sponsorship. I love your channel and videos that's why I've been a subscriber of your channel for years.
@@starknight2262 I mean... its timestamped and it helps fund the channel so...?
