I feel some sort of pity for Lukka, always losing and on the bad side of things (even though the Strixhaven thing was 90% on him). Even when he tried to be the good guy by trying to save Nissa from a phyrexian beast he became compleated alongside her, scolded by Elesh Norn and finally slaughtered on his home plane by an apex predator to keep it brief. Truly a master of disaster

  • @daviddent5662
    @daviddent5662 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Poor Lukka. He was trying so hard to be a good guy and his Bonder ways allowed Phyrexia to invade his mind and trick him into thinking he could dominate Ruin not even realizing Vorinclex had set this trap deliberately. -_- Ultimately he died in the most merciful way he could.
Something we need to note here though: The Oozilith did something to Ikoria's crystals and made monsters seek them out to mutate remember? The only thing we knew about it was 'a mysterious figure' put it there. The Halo started to dry up until suddenly an angel who happened to be Elspeth's sister showed up as a new living source. Halo and Ikorian Crystals seem to be the new anti-Phyrexian weapons and both 'evolved' in a way that's unatural. If Ugin and Bolas aren't behind this I say this is Elspeth showing us she's learned a new ability: time travel. Or maybe just Omipotence able to appear anywhere in the whole of the plane.
I personally hope it's the latter cause the idea of Ugin and Bolas working together unseen is...unsettling.

lukka is a tragic character honestly and he deserves more sympathy than he got.
    >He was born to a world of monsters, in a faction that hated them.
    >was bullied by those people
    >He saw his allies slaughtered by one, and by a cruel twist of fate was forced to bond with the very same beast
    >They blamed him and exiled him
    >But He saw a sliver of hope, and sought to save his people using his new cruel gift.
    >but instead his madness caused by the "gift" caused him to lash out branding him a monster as well
    >He awoke in new land, unable to return home, treated poorly immediately
    >the only people to show him a sliver of kindness here was a terrorist cell/cult.
    >lukka helped them and lost, eventually given a chance by jace
    >he jumped at the chance to redeem himself
    >used his bonding to try and help end a praetor
    >except it ended in his Compleation and death.
Yes lukka is an arrogant self centered militant nut, but he honestly had intentions that at least always had a bit of good in them. As for the animal abuse yes, but can you blame him he was raised to hate non-humans, and lost everything when he was forced to bond. don't get me wrong it's shitty the way he treated them but he honestly had little reason to do otherwise

such a cool story and the cool thing is, Vadrok has the crystals and such, but if you look in the lore, the apexes are probably straight up immune to the oil, take a look at Nethroi and Brokkos, those two would straight up be immune to phyresis in some way, Nethroi can’t die and will just rez himself, not to mention the things that he devours and kills disappear body and soul both, Brokkos is immortal where if he dies, he reincarnates from another creature (Otrimi is the likely candidate), Oh and Illuna, she would just flick her one of her whiskers and look she’s completely immune now, Snapdax though, that’s the hard one, i’d assume he would do something similar to Vadrok, but it’s hard to say.

Nothing could fix the terrible management of this character. The writers did him so dirty that he just didn't have a chance. Death was his only salvation. Hopefully, they'll learn and never do this bad of a job on a character again. Now that just leaves Nahiri of the problematic planeswalkers. The Unforgiving...more like the Unforgivable. My only regret is that Innistrad doesn't get the honor of killing her but I hope the Roil does after she tried to kill it
After this that'll just leave Oko, annoying freak that he is, and Ashiok, who has done nothing but troll, and hopefully he suffers the same as Tibalt. He was done dirty compleated without a card

If this continue like this I don't see how "the Multiverse is going to change forever".

Damn poor Lukka, they just not letting him ever get a win. Also for an invasion that is supposedly very dangerous to the multiverse, it sure has not been going that way it seems. 2 compleated planeswalkers killed and nothing bad happens to our "heroes"

... I wouldn't say having to kill some of your better friends and allies is "nothing bad happening" so many of them will be having issues after this, and it's going to be a great time for other walkers to be the focus, if they're going to keep doing that.

@@AetherHub I mean, on one hand MTG writers ARE known from completely forgetting about older stuff and being a bit misleading. I think the main Emrakul would be...odd, considering Ulamog's mutational properties could essentially override the phyresis itself, which would be a cheap way to beat phyrexia and would also flip the story once again. UNLESS, if Emrakul for some reason shows her intelligence and selfconsciousness again...because in the end the eldrazi were never evil, just absolute neutral and uncaring towards everything.
