- The 2024 Pikes Peak Hill Climb is now in the books and the car and crew have all made it back to the shop.
Now that a little time has passed, we have had a chance to think about the result that we were able to achieve, and to put it into a bit of context.
The Flatirons Tuning WRX STI is now the fastest Time Attack 1 Subaru to run up Pikes Peak, and we were just 2 seconds off the podium behind a 997 GT3 RS.
This result has certainly exceeded our expectations, but we aren't done yet. Knowing where we are now, and what the state of the car is after that run, we are now thinking about what we need to do to go even faster.
We have to give a huge amount of thanks to:
Flatirons Subaru
Roger Clark Motorsport
The Flatirons Tuning Crew
The Boost'd Scoops Crew
Jeremy Agostino
And especially all of you who watch our videos and support what we do. You continue to inspire us to keep pushing to develop this car and find ways to make it faster.
Thanks for watching and thanks for your support.
Stay Tuned and Keep Climbing!

Great job!
Thanks very much. Stay Tuned!
I feel like you guys can go in the 9:50s range, it’s such a long race I’m sure Scott will be thinking where time could be taken away. Just porting the heads would make a world of difference. It’s impressive that they took a friends motor and bolted her right in and set a personal record. Pretty dang good results if you ask me.
I definitely agree that a time near or below the 10:00 minute mark is possible.
Next year should be better for sure.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
very well done!

Wow. Very impressive when compared to other cars and runs. Nice work guys.

The FIT team did some miracles with Scott that weekend! Seems like you guys nailed down a lot of fine tuning this year. We’ll look back and see that the 2024 WRX walked so that the 2025 can run past 10:30.
That's awesome. I was surprised you beat Rob Dahm by so much.
Thanks very much. Us too :-)

For the intercooler, I was thinking about how interchillers work on Supercharged cars. Could there be a way to fab the FMIC to incorporate some bars that provide liquid cooling from and interchiller? I realize that this might be more work to fab up something like this, but it might make the FMIC work better. It’s just a thought I had and when I seen this video this morning I thought I would share my idea with you. I thought your run at Pikes Peak looked great. Keep up the good work!
Thanks very much! We have used water sprayers in the past, and actually are using them for the radiator again. We may need to point them at the intercooler too. Will have to look at inlet temps.

Hey man! Do you do consults for diagnosing an issue for a car not starting?

Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. We are running a Type RA STI block with D25 heads. Currently making about 430 whp.
