thank you so much for sharing this recipe and explaining every step! I actually messed up and bought all-purpose gf flour instead of Cassava Flour, but it still worked out very well, I just had to change the ratio to approx 1 water : 10 flour and trust the process. ❤
You know what.. They have never last that long in my house because we eat them so fast lol but I should try that and see. If you do try it before me, please let me know! I would like to think they may freeze better after rolling them out without cooking them.. but Im not sure.
merci for you hu! I tried your recipe and it is magically accurate in terms of the amount of ingredients and the procedure. the tortillas are surprisingly soft, they bubble every time and hold a little liquid sauce:p each one was perfect and didn't crack at all, a miracle. my only objection is the taste - I'm experimenting with mixing in teff flour, tapioca, chickpeas or more almond one and just replacing 1/3 of the cassava with teff flour makes it more toothy for me. thanks for sharing a recipe that makes living gluten free so much more fun!
I’ve finally decided I prefer the chickpea flour tortillas to the cassava flour (both are delicious!) but this is the best and most complete demonstration I’ve found of either. PS your hair is gorgeous
I love chickpea flour tortillas as well, the taste it amazing! I actually use chickpea flour for my bread recipe! But for tortillas they just don't have the same elasticity as the cassava. & they also dont keep structure well for like pre prepped burritos etc :) They taste great though! & thankkk youuuu :)
Oh my gosh! These are amazing. I am not GF but my best friend has sever celiac. I was on a mission and had tried many. Also, I live in Texas and grew up making my own flour tortillas. I was supper skeptical bc it doesn’t have lard in it. But wow!!! These are delicious and I’m a huge fan of regular flour tortillas. You definitely cracked the code.
Yay!! im so glad that you loved them! haha I know the feeling fresh tortillas the original way is what I grew up with as well! Its pretty amazing how the cassava stretches on its own. :) thanks for tuning in, enjoy!
Thank you! For this recipe only cassava flour will work.. with just that ingredient because when it has the added hot water it naturally becomes stretchy. Almond flour is too grainy for this recipe.. it would need a binder of some sort.. which would require more ingredients and most likely some oil in the pan to prevent it from sticking. Hope that helps!
Yes it is very rich in carbs, no overt fats. I was paleo for years on a higher fat diet before I went vegan/plant based focusing on a high carb/low fat lifestyle.. and that high fat made the autoimmune disease I was diagnosed with soooo much worse so please be careful with Keto. Everyone I know that has been on it saw results of weight loss at first, but couldn't keep up with it long term and created a lot more health issues for themselves! good luck to you and your journey!
@@liseforgues5575we eat them really fast, so I am not sure. Ive left them in the fridge for about 3 days, and reheat on the stove. But im sure theyll last longer than that youd just have to test them out! Let me know if you do!

They look so yummy. Does it have to be Cassava Flour or can you use all Almond flour as well? By the way, your hair is so pretty!

What enabled you to not use psyllium or xanthan gum? Is it because it's cassava flour?
@@jvallas they aren't good for the digestive system. So I avoid them!
Your recipe says 3/4 tsp salt but when you were mixing it you said half a tablespoon which is double that. How much did you use?
Oops! My fault, I used 3/4 tablespoon. But you can use less if youd like! Or omit it completely
Can you add exact measurements. I wasted a whole bag trying to make these.
The exact measurements/ingredients are in the description below on all of my videos.
@@Plantexclusives I must have missed it. Thank you!
Cassava flour is very rich in carbohydrates, I thought it might be good for keto 😢
