This isn't a token induction based on his current health. He should have been in YEARS ago. He was one of the most DOMINANT interior defensive lineman during his career. I am a Redskins fan so my opinion is not based on a Bears fan bias. The guy had 95 sacks as a DT, only 1.5 less than Warren Sapp and nearly TWICE as many tackles. I mean look at the recent DT's to get in, Warren Sapp, Cortez Kennedy and Bryant Young, Steve McMichael was better than ALL of them.

About time. Long overdue.
Im about to cry. I remember seeing him in person at training camp many years ago. Im glad he got to the Hall.
So happy to see this happen. What a tough, strong man. Gives me strength and inspiration to not quit when dealing with issues in my own life. And being grateful for what I do have in my life. Thank you Mongo. Bear down.
Devastating to see Mongo like this, too young to remember his glorious nfl career, but loved him in WCW❤
Congratulations, Steve McMichael. You are a true Chicago legend 76. The 85 Bears now have three Hall of Famers on that defensive line. Richard Dent, Dan Hampton, Steve McMichael.
Probably the best d line of all time.
Wow
7 of the 11 Defenders in the hall of fame on that defense
They did it right THIS TIME! Dude might be in his last year and he deserved it first and then the rest! Love him on the field and that classic WCW Wrasslin!
Vikes fan here that spent 55 years as a Bear fan. Attended both playoff games at Soldier Field, and Super Bowl in 85. Congrats to Steve and family. A hearty Viking Skol !!
Wow, how could you have ditched the Bears for the Vikings after you were part of all that history in 85?
Wow! This is awesome! Im not a Bears fan but this is beautiful that he finally is in the HOF. So glad he was able to see it too.
Congrats Steve. I became of fan of the Bears when they won a super bowl at 10 years old and you were an important part of the best defense ever. God Bless
It's about time!!
Congrats to you Mongo 👏
This isn't a token induction based on his current health. He should have been in YEARS ago. He was one of the most DOMINANT interior defensive lineman during his career. I am a Redskins fan so my opinion is not based on a Bears fan bias. The guy had 95 sacks as a DT, only 1.5 less than Warren Sapp and nearly TWICE as many tackles. I mean look at the recent DT's to get in, Warren Sapp, Cortez Kennedy and Bryant Young, Steve McMichael was better than ALL of them.
God bless his wife Misty, so many of us can only pray we one day find an angel just like her. Congratulations, Mongo.
Wow! Steve McMichael a HOF'er! . End of Story! Drop the Mike! Very Very Happy for Steve and The McMichael Family! Bear Down! Chicago!
Wow!, talk about emotions. A very joyful and sad moment at the same time. No one would believe this life, our lives, unless they lived it. Words cease to describe this. Congratulations Steve!
God bless you!!! THANK YOU!!!!

My goodness......i remember his playing days and when he wrestled for WCW........this was long overdue. Congratulations
Crazy such a good player/ Probowler had to wait so long
Steve was a little before my time when he played in the nfl but I remember him in the WCW and he was great. Congrats Mongo!
Great player , Hard worker on the field Well deserved Guy played his heart out. A True defensive lineman. Prayers to Him and his family God Bless him 🙏
He deserves more. Great athlete, seemingly fun guy and entertainer (had a brief but significant role in wrestling), and a legend in general. Glad he got to see this.
Congrats and God Bless You Mongo !! Long overdue for certain!!
What a tribute to a great player,,his appreciation was a crying time for me,,what a saint to be in that condition & deeply appreciation the honor bestowed.. he is truly a 'saint"
As a Chicago based Packers fan I’m extremely happy for Steve and his family. He’s definitely deserving of having his name live on in the hall.
True fighting horseman ❤️
ALS is a horrible disease. My heart goes out to Steve McMichael and his family. He was such a larger than life personality. It saddens me that he wasnt able to be on the field to be honored at the Super Bowl or to give his hall of fame speech at Campton. But at least he was finally inducted into the football hall of fame. Long overdue.
What a honer for this wonderful man. Such a gift he has. I pray he still can remember all the games he won. What a honer to bad it wasn’t given to him years ago. I send gods blessings upon you. What a precious man you are.
Wow congrats Steve!!
God Bless you Mongo. I was so happy when you won that WCW US Title and the fans popped for you and was always a fan of yours with the Bears.
Dang...very sad to see such a vibrant Chicago Bear like this.
I remember seeing him wrestle in WCW in the 90s when I was a kid and had no idea he was a football player until years later. I'm glad to see him finally get his Hall of Fame induction he has deserved for so long!
Watching his teammates begin to tear up makes it so much harder
One of the only highlights during my stay in Chicago, the 85 Bears. Thanks Mongo!
Congratulations Mongo !!!!!!
Congratulations Steve!!! It was a pleasure watching you play and an even greater pleasure seeing you inducted into football immortality. God bless you and your family.
