They didnt utilize him as a pass rusher in Washington. Had they fully did similiar to LT, he would have had a lot of sacks for sure. He was a gifted player like no other. Injuries and playing in Washington derailed his career.
Physical tools don't make you a great LBer or football player. I saw Lavar play and saw him out of position on the run and pass too much, trying to freelance and eventually getting benched. Teams didn't gameplan to stop Lavar.

I played for Central Bucks West in 1993 and his North Hills team had a miracle last-minute drive in what is probably the greatest state championship game in PA history. Lavar had a clutch 50 yard reception to get them into the red zone. They scored on a 4th and goal from the 30 and then got the two point conversion to beat us 15-14. Lavar was only a freshman that year but you could just tell he was going to be an NFL star.

Karlos Dansby made more of an impact overall to me than Arrington. Arrington was more hype coming out of Penn State. It just didn't translate over to the NFL consistently
