I totally recommend Return to dreamland to start with modern Kirby since it sets most things up in a more organized way including the introduction of the ancients which lived on the forgotten land

1:39:11 - This is Morpho Knight's second in-game appearance, actually! He first appeared in the Guest Star Mode of Kirby Star Allies, where he was the final boss. He also appears in the official Kirby light novel "Meta Knight and The Knight of Hades."
Ngl I thought he would appear in a meta knight game mode or something but this is cooler since morpho knight is now technically a canon character

Edit: Correction: The trauma started at Marx, began to heal, then Magolor ripped the wound back open. We still have not recovered from that.

It is officially confirmed in the original Smash Bros that Kirby lacks a skeletal structure. When a character is hit by Pikachu you can see their skeleton, except for Jiggalypuff, Samus, and (of course) Kirby.
To be fair, Kirby is essentially a more solidified version of Void, if that makes sense.
For the void to have a mire solid form is scary

Highly recommend Planet Robobot. It’s considered the peak of 2D Kirby level design by many.

I knew about dodging but didnt do it I didnt do a challenge or anything I just didnt think it was important😅😅😅😅😅
I thought dodging was pointless and on my first playthrough I didn't use block or dodge and got my butt handed by Elfilis and especially Chaos Elfilis.
Turns out there's many secret attacks you get when perfectly dodge attacking (asidr from the triple burst with explorer and the insta slash with the sword there's also the hammer, which instantly charges up to Lv. 2 when attacking after a perfect dodge).
Dude, i STILL get goosebumps from the final cutscene. HOLY HELL they did such a good job with this game on god

Elfilin is the most good person in Kirby he is so nice and pure he never has done anything bad in his life
I legit didn't know about the dodge until Ultimate Arena Z. I'm glad I found it by accident, because that mode is absurdly difficult without it

On my first playthrough I had a horrible time against fecto and chaos Elfilis, trying to beat her without the morpho sword and without dodging and barely blocking. Now after replaying the game with dodging its much more easy

Coraline was such an awesome movie! I seen it in theaters and bought the dvd that came with the 3D glasses when it came out.

I just love how then end of recent Kirby games fill you with the feeling that you could kill a god or become one. Hell, maybe do both.

I really love how this game builds the 3D levels because the levels are built to fit into the environment like in Kirby 64 instead of the just floating islands in Mario 3D World
That is a valid point. The stages are both imaginative AND make sense in the greater narrative.
And this is just a taste of what's to come with Kirby! I wonder where he'll be going next... But still, would LOVE a DDD-Tour/Meta-Knightmare Mode in 3D!

Oh, and for those who don't know, Morpho Knight is the butterfly you see at the start of most Kirby games. He also happens to be Meta Knight during his concept stages. I find it a bit strange that he's considered a "dream eater" here. Maybe some more lore on that will be revealed later on.
I think a lot of people looking in liked the idea of Kirby, but were never interested in the 2D gameplay (especially with other series having already transitioned over to 3D). This game could be a major turning point.
It’s the 3D era now! Hopefully the 2D games don’t die because games like RTDL and Robobot are goated (maybe ports…?). I’d like them to do mainline games in 3D and spin-offs in 2D
This game honestly turned me into a fan of the series
I wanted K3D and KPR but I didn't have a DS of any sort to play them for a while. And I didn't buy Star Allis because I just forgot to buy it lmao.
2D kirby games, especially the GBA ones, are peak platforming. Why would people not be interested in it?

As someone who's first Kirby game was Return to Dreamland, I can see the stigma attached to companions.
They should have thought otherwise because much more than two were either friends from beginning to end or were initially presented as a foe, then became a friend later, and if two is a lot....
Kirby has been backstabbed just twice in the entire series, by Marx and Magolor.
No one else has actively betrayed Kirby. If anything, most regular enemies became allies over time, including Magolor, and Marx just in some degree (at this point Marx is more of a chaotic neutral force).
I had such a good time with this one. Fantastic game.

I'd say his last name would/should be John (or Johnson to sound more like a traditional last name), if you didn't know, Kirby's name was based on someone named John Kirby (He was the lawyer who defended early Nintendo in the infamous Donkey Kong King Kong lawsuit), so they named a character after him, Kirby!

I don’t think worst, but I do think most terrifying. Kirby enemies are normally super terrifying for no reason, but dead ass that was too far. This is a children’s game, keep in mind.

“I…um…” Magolor seemed suddenly desperate to escape this line of questioning, but Kirby’s fantasies only grew.
“I bet you’ve got towers of hamburgers taller than the highest mountains, right?! And every river is full of sushi?! And syrup rains from the sky, drenching all the fruit in the field with juicy sweetness until the the whole planet is one big bowl of fruit punch! Right…?!”
“Uh…wha…?” Magolor froze, having not the slightest idea how to respond.
King Dedede raised his voice in challenge to Kirby. “Kirby, that’s ridiculous!"
He quickly rebuffed the other’s food fantasies. "Halcandra can make ships capable of crossing over into entirely different universes! You really think they have hamburger towers and fields of fruit punch?!”
“R-right, yes…!” Magolor looked up at King Dedede in relief.
The king’s voice grew louder as he raised a clenched fist. “Why would they need hamburger towers when the earth itself is made of meat?! And spicy steak sauce flows from active volcanoes like lava! Every eruption is the start of a planet-wide steak festival!”
“Really?! That’s the best! Aww, I can’t wait to go to Halcandra!”
Kirby and King Dedede began to dance and cheer enthusiastically. A dumbfounded Magolor finally found his voice. “I-I’m…not sure…the place is going to live up to your expectations…”
“Forget about them, Magolor.” Meta Knight responded coolly. “You’ll never escape the subject of food as long as you’re around Kirby and King Dedede. The only thing to do is ignore it.”
“Oh-kay…”
This is from Kirby: The Starcutter and the Lying Wizard, which is currently being translated by a fan.
If you want to read the Kirby novels, there's a masterpost that lists all of the fan translated volumes. The translation is a little flawed (from what I’ve seen so far, I’ve only read two volumes) but it’s still readable. The novels take place in a separate continuity, but some of the novels follow the games with some changes.

you can use his attacks that turn the screen all curvy, and the attack that summons two phantom versions of Fecto Forgo. You can probably look up a guide that tells you how.
Also, Morpho Knight appeared in Kirby: Star Allies. He absorbed Galacta Knight, the greatest warrior in the galaxy.

I love how we both made the same references, especially in the final boss battle. From saying Shadow to the Ultimate Life Form to Gohan killing Cell adjacent ending.
fun fact morpho knight's first kirby appearance was in kirby star allies, the last main line game before kirby and the forgotten land, but the butterfly has been in pretty much ever kirby intro, so you could say morpho knight has always been there.
I think it’s worth the time to find all the waddle-dees because you’ll get new stuff in the village ofcourse but also for the overall experience. It’s very fun to do in my opinion
Btw Caroline is the scariest shit ever.
He never upgraded to Dragonfire. An ability that was one of my most used for the sake of the pure continual damage it deals. Sillydillo never stood a chance as it burned while rolling around. (Very useful for the take no damage Waddle Dee.)

If you do go back to play missed games, may I recommend the Kirby game "return to Dreamland"? It's a REALLY solid entry in the franchise, even if the gameplay itself feels similar. If not that, epic yarn was somewhat a departure from the typical Kirby game, if just a bit.

In the last map it shows that you need yo go through cake.. Theres a trick because there is two cake routes and you need to take the cake route in the back and youll get the achievement of navigating the mall without getting lost, you find the last wadle dee and there is a glowing area that will activate something that will make the third donut appear.
I got Coraline on DVD in a box set with 9 and Monster House, at least it isn’t that old Animal Farm movie
