When I first played ARR, I thought most of EN VA are quite good, including his VA. At that time I wouldn't mind to hear his voice for the rest of the game as long as Minfilia's is changed lmao. Now I'm so so glad that they changed everyone. His current VA is so much better lol
Yeah lol, I think the new VAs just took a little bit to settle into the voices and for us to get used to them, and there were a couple of cases where I miss the old VAs, but overall it was a big upgrade.
@@normalmighty Yep, they had to get to know the characters and that took a bit. I went to the Otakon XIV panel that ran as a sort of "we have Fanfest at home" for the east coast folks who couldn't make it to Vegas Fanfest last year, and they flew in Alisae and Alphinaud's English VAs. They said they relied heavily on their director to give them instructions (and still do) since they still do solo recordings and not group VA recordings like is the common practice in Japan. So his Alphinaud developed over the years as he learned more about the character on his own.
Getting into Ishgard the first time is one of my most memorable moments in the entire game, The journey to get there was even longer than it is now, they cut back some quests and allow you to fly. It's also in my personal opinion the best intro to any city, it helps a lot that i really like the aesthetic of the city of Ishgard.
Welcome to Heavensward... Enjoy, Embrace, and Ever move forward...what lies ahead is a magnificent tale of man and dragon that you will never forget. ❤️
Still the trailer that gets me the most hyped... The music, the theme, the drama, basically making you relive your trauma from end of ARR in HD, it's all so good.
ARR was bringing back the game to life and it had some rough edges still. I remember playing up to 50 back in the days then quitting. Forward a few years and Heavensward is announced and so is the Dark Knight, my favorite FF job. I thought to myself "I have to get ready for this and I have to play the Dark Knight." So I made a new character since my friends all moved to another server since and replayed the MSQ. I also started to learn to tank since the Dark Knight was announced as a tank and I had never tanked in any MMO before. Comes Heavenward's release, I manage to log in and watch the full trailer since I didn't before and I knew it was going to be something special... and it was for three reasons : 1) The change of mood : Heavensward coming off of ARR is one heck of a darker tale. It hits so many notes about more mature subjects and the state of a nation that is so very deeply embroiled in turmoil. I won't spoil anything but there's a reason why people say that "It gets good at Heavensward"... because it does, regardless if you liked ARR beforehand or not. 2) The Dark Knight job questline is widely considered the best job questline of the lot and at the time, I didn't know of it (as neither did anyone in fact) but when I completed it, I had shivers. Mostly because it was so well written but because the events of that questline resonated so very much with many a player. 3) The sense of fellowship. ARR made you a hero / errand boy like many MMOs usually do. They give you stuff to do then just point you in a direction and gives you set-pieces that let you be awesome. Heavensward gives you a quest, a solid, expansion-long task that helps you learn about some of the people you've been around with and new people that you'll come to appreciate deeply. This is the expansion that got me hooked and I've remained subbed to the game ever since.
I remember walking into Ishgard my first time, running around and just looking at everything, taking in the details of the buildings and the streets. It's one of the cities I rarely use the aetherytes to now, I prefer to just walk about and feel the atmosphere.
Welcome to your new home of Ishgard. My return point is still Foundation in Endwalker. When I first started playing Heavensward it was the depths of winter. You are right, it hits different. To look out the window for a moment and see drifts of snow while you stand in Ishgard with the snow floating in the air and every stone coated in frost you could just BE there. It is part of why Wrath of the Lich King hit me so hard because I was leveling through it, progressing through end content in the COLDEST winter on record. Enjoy this journey Dragoon.
I've never seen someone so excited about going into cold environments as me (my nickname "Koori" literally means "ice" in japanese). Good to see other of my fellow cold brethren!
Hevensward is the best till you get to shadowbringers. And it's certainly my favorite story line. Especially when you consider the parallels with the catholic state
I initially thought Alphi’s old voice was better, but I go back and hear it now and I’m just like… wow. No. Lol

I love the new cast so much more but as an old critical role fan I'm sad that alphi and than red's vs didn't shine in their roles

Dude the trailers are insane. I literally cried from excitement during the Endwalker trailer.
Same. And fangirl screaming at everything.
Welcome to Heavensward...

I really wish that ff would stick to whatever opening you watched last without having to use a mod.
For many of us - Ishgard means a lot. For most of us.. its like .. home.
Welcome to Ishgard! I hope you enjoy your journey!!!
The WoL changes jobs every trailer, sometimes more than once. Excited for you to experience Heavensward!

@@nurddiii I will do that!
It's next level immersion when it's snowing in your game and outside your window while you are playing
It’s literally peak gaming experience at that point! 😂
Still my favorite trailer all things considered. That time with Heavensward is just magical.

The road is long my friend. Pray you enjoy every waking moment on it.
10,000 hours in the game, hundreds more working on videos about it, and still the trailers give me full-body chills.

You still have a long road ahead, keep the light of Dawn alive friend

This is where it begins to get good. :3
Just a pity you can't set which intro plays and which main menu screen you have (unless you use those hush-hush methods).
I was wondering how I might achieve this! Now I know

Just don't get to attached to haurchfurnt. Though i can't blame you if you do.
just cause he doesn't show up often after HW isnt a reason to tell people to not get attached to haurchfurnt.
