I Bought the Script for The Chipmunk Adventure! (2,000 Subscriber Special)

- For the past 37 years, there was not much information on the development of the very first Alvin and The Chipmunks film, The Chipmunk Adventure. However, a draft of the screenplay was recently discovered, which contains several notable differences from the film's final cut. With any luck, more discoveries like this can be made in the future. So that fans can get a broader understanding of what the film was supposed to be before it got released in the rushed state that it did.

This is definitely the AATC media find of the decade for sure. These past 5 years have been good for AATC media finds in general. From the little things like finding the Ideal Chipettes dolls commercial, to the big stuff like this script and the lost 80s episodes. I'm glad to be part of a fandom with so many people dedicated to media preservation and sharing. Without us this franchise would be in a much worse state than it is now. I've said it before, but congrats on this huge find and thanks for sharing it!

The Chipmunk Adventure Movie overall was awesome. Despite Janice and Ross B. Jr. not being the best writers, their ideas of characterization and story telling generally speaking was very well executed back in the 80's and that is saying something considering how the Chipmunks are treated nowadays. I mean the 1980's and 1990's were the Chipmunks' peak of how they were written and characterized. The Chipettes and the Chipmunks each have drama and comedy in each group. No one is better than the other and all 6 of them really acted like kids their age. Chef's kiss. Even Dave still owned the Alvin yell back in the 80's (although Theodore and Simon did it too) and it meant something. I wish we can have these back in the future because the franchise nowadays is really falling apart. The Bagdasarians should be showing all the media from the 1980's even the lost episodes to gain a new popularity and for we fans to share. The script really was a big find. Thank you!
The script is somewhat different than how the final cut is. I wish in the second Chipmunk Adventure movie, we can use the scenes that didn't make the cut into the movie or have scenes based on these ideas. The Russian part is in parts 3 and 4. The scene happened after Dave called Ms. Miller and Ms. Miller thinking Dave lost his marbles and before the boys got to Istanbul Turkey, and Brittany gets married in the Taj Majal. They also talk about Islam and there were spelling errors. In the Russia scene, their balloon was shot down, they were chased by German shepards. The Chipmunks sang Born in the USA because the Russian guards acted like like nit wits. The Russian kids noticed it was from Bruce Springsteen. Alvin broke down in humiliation and guilt saying when they get home, he will never do something like this again. Then Russian kids bailed them out. Then they continued the adventure because Alvin did say when they get home. They should've kept these scenes in the original movie but they can make scene based on that idea if they ever make a second movie.
I was just thinking how did Ross and Janice produce the chipmunks adventure and did the tv series at the same time?

WOW! This so cool of you for sharing the actual movie script, most folks in fandoms usually gate keep stuff like this.
A lot of the stuff, it’s a good thing was cut, but the taxi scene and the Alvin feeling guilty scene would have been great to include. Even the Russia scene, but with some reworks because the BORN IN THE USA bit was hilarious.
