I dont know if this is a good idea or not, but i hope they keep ms croner in the future series for AATC. Shes just a nice contrast to miss miller, and i feel theres more to her than we see. I feel like shes just that cold grumpy elderly character with that dynamic with the happy elder who bakes you cookies!(ms Miller) But this is my opinion. You can completely disagree.
I don’t object to having plots focusing on the supporting human cast, but I do mind when Kevin and Cheesy get more episodes dedicated to them than poor Eleanor. Honestly, I think the human characters are like everything else in the show. Wasted potential. I appreciate them giving each stereotypical character more depth as the series progressed. We find out Kevin isn’t just a nerd, he’s also a DJ and Cheesy isn’t just a math wiz, he’s also a comedian and a gamer. Derek is only a bully because his dad abuses him and he’s never actually felt friendship before. (Honestly I wish they’d followed up on this) Miss. Smith isn’t just a mean teacher, she might be a secret agent. Ms. Croner and Miss. Miller are friends and Ms. Croner has hidden depth too. But I would love to see episodes with just the 6 munks too. They don’t always need a human character. Except Officer Dangus because come on, he is the best character on the ding dang show. And the only way they’re taking Kevin and Cheesy out of the show is over my dead body. Those are Alvin’s friends and even if it isn’t confirmed explicitly, we know it’s true. AND THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE MISS. MILLER AND THE CHIPETTES MOTHER AND DAUGHTERS AGAIN FOR THIS SERIES! I DON’T KNOW WHY THEY DIDN’T!
All the human characters unique to the live action movies are definitely my favorite human characters with the addition of Dave in that continuity. A big part of that was the actors and actresses they were all portrayed by. They gave so much likability and enjoyment in these characters and make me care for them. This is one of the reasons I think the live action movies are the best incarnation of Alvin and the Chipmunks.
I LOVE ANITA AND VANESSA AND WE NEED TO SEE MORE OF THEM! Also omg! Russel! I miss Russel! AND DOCTOR HAYWARD! HE AND ALVIN SHOULD HAVE HAD AN EPISODE TOGETHER INSTEAD OF ALVIN GETTING LIKE 6 WITH MISS. SMITH.
I feel like the humans have no roles in the series like i don’t get why there in the first place, i guess it has to do with the school setting if they got out of they school setting then, will be able to focus more on the chipmunks not just the humans, i do think there is a difference between now and the 80s like in the 80s even though they were human characters it focused more on the chipmunks and here it’s just focus more on humans and not the chipmunks cause it’s called Alvin and the chipmunks not Alvin and the chipmunks meet the humans or something like that but there is no need for this. I do agree with that when they try to tease something but they don’t revisit that moment with the robot pizza or with the hipmunks they don’t go anywhere with the plot and they don’t continue onwards as an antagonist for the chipmunks and that is called single plot if you ask me not revisiting that. I don’t really have a favourite human characters but Miss Smith is probably up there although i feel like she is foil to Alvin a lot but saying that i feel like that underscores Brittany in a way to Alvin cause they got that love / hate relationship rivalry going on and i always thought to myself like there the foils to each other cause there so alike there like an enemy to your enemy situation so i feel like that underscores her and Alvin a bit with the Miss Smith banter. I feel like they changed ALOT in the show how Miss Miller lives next door to the chipettes but dosen’t adopted the chipettes they just live in a treehouse in the chipmunk’s backyard which seems so weird to me, like in the 80s there were neighbours to each other and lived very close to the chipmunks and Miss Miller did adopted the chipettes in the 80s and they did live with her so i don’t know, the whole show is an utter mess, this is why we need more chipmunk characters or something even if they visited the chipmunks or Vinny there is another example for the chipmunks, what if they had a long lost Relative or something that didn’t know anything about now that could be interesting the episodes need to continue on with what there showing and not be one sided.
