Hello Scott! 👋😀👍 I really enjoyed the video and great to see your doing well !😊 Your Dawn Red Wood is looking fabulous ! Can't wait to see you repot it in the spring. Glad to hear your finding some time to spend with your trees, I'm sure it's well deserved. Thanks for the mention but no need to thank any of us, we all just do what we can but always here for each other. Take care and see you in the next one!
Broski!!! You are backkkkkkk!!! 1st of all so happy to see you are up and running the bonsai channel 2ndly thank you so much for the kind words about Jarhead Bonsai, and 3rdly your dawn redwoon is outstanding. I like the unique sway in the beginning parts of the trunk. Cheers my friend. 😎🍺🍺
Going into Kay's greenhouse was such a dramatic transition from the blustery day into a quiet peaceful and beautiful space! The poor Jades just got their eviction notice, but I'm sure they'll find a good home! My Jade you sent me is doing well so far, no new growth yet, but I think soon! The Dawn Redwood is such a beautiful tree, I hope you get nice fall colours on it! I'm really looking forward to the next video, thanks Scott!
I have found that aged fir or pine bark is better as a good substitute for your standard garden/potting soil. It is 1/8 to 3/16 in size. Love your Redwood.
just found ur channel! subbed!! thats a nice tree, i want a dawn redwood , i actually found out about them thru a friend in school on how they were beleived to be extinct & we actually had one on campus! after that i started seen people bonsai them so i know i want one! i am a beginner, i stared making couple videos here n there if u ever want to check them out ! or anybody for that matter 👍🏻
Sorry if you’ve answered this, but the clay...was it calcine clay, the sort of industrial absorbent type stuff? Just curious because I just buy whatever brand of that stuff I can get my hands on and often it seems to be untested by the bonsai world. Hoping to avoid the same fate! I saw Nigel’s video, and man...it wasn’t pretty! If you’re shipping jade across the pond, I’ll gladly take some. I’ve never owned a jade but have always wanted one. Cheers, and hang in there. It’s been tough times for us all but this community has consistently been a shining light. -BBI
