Man, it sucks Sadler couldn't get a championship. Should have had 3 or 4 in XFINITY for sure. Should be considered an all-time great in the Series but the garbage format stopped that from happening
Yes. Elliott went to two teams in Cup that were sinking. Yates really fell off the map after 2004 his best season. They started helping Roush in engines which did Elliot no favors. Evernham was not much better. These years really affected Elliott's confidence. He fared much better in the XFINITY series when he returned.
As much as I wished Sadler won the 2017 championship, Preece did nothing wrong. He has every right to race for his position. If he was a lap down it would be a different story but he was racing Sadler for position. You also have to consider Preece was part-time at the time and essentially racing for his career. Just drives me crazy how everyone always gets mad at Preece when he did nothing wrong
Loved Sadler, wish he could of got him one, but also thought the same about Mark Martin... My life hasn't went the way I wanted it to either, but we all had the opportunity at one point, and the chips just don't always fall your way, but he had a amazing career, and drove for many great owners
the thing that hurts especially about Elliott Sadler is that he lost all 4 of his chances at the last race by getting caught up in some other peoples business
My dad watched him race at South Boston I got to see him in NASCAR one of the most underrated drivers and I wish his luck was as good as the person he is
I was a Sadler fan from his days in the 21 Wood Bros car. My first favorite driver when I started watching. I laid on the floor for a half hour after that Homestead Xfinity race....same as the 2009 Daytona 500 finish.
I feel like you could make a similar vid on Justin Allgaier. He's been in the battle for the championship in almost every single year he's raced for JRM, but he would always lose it due to his mistakes, or there was always someone better than him.
Maybe he just wasn't that good... He's a likable guy. He's not the worst driver. He's just not that good. It seems like NASCAR fans fall in love with likable bums. Then because they like a bum who is fairly competitive, that driver is now somehow good. Michael Waltrip destroyed race cars for 15 years before DEI. He wins 4 restrictor plate races (1 by rain). Then all of a sudden fans now look back at him like he was a decent driver. Even through the DEI years, he kept destroying cars. I hoped Sadler won an Xfinity title because he was typically in a Chevrolet and I thought he was likable. If you look at his Cup career though, he was buttcheeks. I understand that a lot of what happened to cost him titles was out of his control. But, his lack of killer instinct behind the wheel cost him more.
Say what you want about Elliot Sadler but he was the guy to beat! An experienced cup winner is great to have in a lower division. Those other guys had to go up against a grown up pro to win!
Didn't like him after the Preece thing Ryan did absolutely nothing wrong and was racing for position Funny the comment about not lasting long bc who's in the cup series now and has been for a few years now

we got robbed of greatness

Elliott Sadler to a Xfinity championship is like Mark Martin to a Cup Series championship
Or Kyle Busch to a Daytona 500 win
Years later, Sadler is still not over Homestead 2017
Gotta appreciate how he always took blame and rarely placed it, yet was always graceful in his defeats
I love sarcasm. I almost took this bait.
sarcasm aside, can you really blame him though?
Elliott Sadler’s results definitely didn’t reflect his talent.
bros luck was god awful
Sometimes I wish Elliott Sadler could have driven the 3 car at RCR and be teammates with Jeff Burton. That was always a place I thought he would go.

that was the race where I stopped feeling bad for Sadler lol
Reminds me of Denny, trying so hard for a champ, but losing it in a ridiculous fashion.
Except people like Sadler

They lost me on "Ricky Stenhouse is the real deal"
pre cup days (he would be good in a top ride)
Great work on this vid
And Please do The Story of Jeff Gordon's Post 4th Championship stretch: 2002-2016

real

I was hoping for sure he would win the 17 championship. I felt that anger when he blamed Preece.
It wasn’t his fault, NASCAR ruined it with these ridiculous rule changes
great video! man that 2017 race had me so stressed for sadler

i dont think he was a cup series star but he should’ve easily been a multi xfinity champion
great video. voice sounds like them ollldddd Mr Beast videos
0:05 (not that it’s much of a difference) Elliott Sadler was 35 in 2010 not 40
my god 2010 was 14 years ago (i added up the math wrong)
Honestly, watching him race was always incredible, he can definitely drive better then most, I feel so bad for him man
That poor guy, he shoulda had one with KHI, and atleas two with DJM. He was at the top man.
Also, those one main paint schemes where freaking goated.
What a great video !
He was the only reason I ever watched Xfinity series when he retired so didn't I
Clearly it was one main as the sponsor. Bad baaad luck lmao
Such a class act, cruel he never got what he deserved results wise, such a talented driver
Say what you want about Elliot Sadler but he was the guy to beat! An experienced cup winner is great to have in a lower division. Those other guys had to go up against a grown up pro to win!
He Is Insane Driver
Babe 40 dropped were not going out anymore
time to postpone plans
The Curse Of Elliott Sadler Same Title The Curse Of Molly McGee
whats that😭
whats up 40👋👋
howdy looney
ngl i'm kinda glad he never won a title with how he handled 2017's loss
Didn't like him after the Preece thing
Ryan did absolutely nothing wrong and was racing for position
Funny the comment about not lasting long bc who's in the cup series now and has been for a few years now
And accomplished nothing
