2003 in the Busch Series might honestly be the best championship battle in NASCAR history. Not only do you have the whole story of Todd Bodine missing his chance to win the title due to Herzog-Jackson Motorsports going belly up, but in the last couple races you had 6 guys eligible to take the title: Brian Vickers, David Green, Ron Hornaday Jr, Scott Riggs, Jason Keller, and Bobby Hamilton Jr

Cole Custer is the first driver in a couple years to return to the Xfinity Series to defend the championship. JGR vets Almirola and JHN have wins, along with several cup guys running a few races. Underdog team Ryan Sieg is still in contention for a playoff spot.
