I disagree, I'm honnestly more intrigued by the constant flow of new characters and enemies, while I like to see Hallow and Zaybi's struggle through the world, it makes sense with the setting that more character would be prominent with their own worlds and we still haven't been introduced yet to all the worlds, like the game worlds and god's world or even the world tree. Like, after they've been introduced properly, I would be down for a more narrative plot where we see the heroes's struggle, but now it's still the introduction and we're still discovering the world at the same time as the heroes, the chaos following the merger is still too much to really properly follow one single main events, we gotta wait for the chaos to settle down a bit, have a few big enemies fall and then we'll be able to understand what it takes to properly live in this world
My favorite thing about this Manga is the amount of diversity , from Mecha to magic to parasites to mad max to kaiju to GOD this is the best , and It not even half of it
@zzodysseuszz it about 13 worlds merging dude , with 13 enemies tf u expect? 1-Demons 2-Robots 3-parasites 4-Titans 5-Kaiju 6- Aliens 7-Untamed wilderness 8-Neo humans 9-Curse 10- God 11- Game 12- Lawless 13- World tree Because humanity is unable to fight off against those much more powerful enemies they decided to try their best and pitch them against each other
I do like that in a manga, I absolutely love Akame ga Kill (the manga, not the anime) where nearly everyone dies, it’s my favourite Shonen. A manga that kills a lot of its main characters is always appealing to me. I tend to cherish the characters more as I know I’m going to lose them.
it's been a while since someone covered Versus on TH-cam which is pretty rare. l love Versus and it's awesome that ONE used this concept pretty well, the only problem l have with it is that it's a monthly release which is a pain.
I remember when everyone thought this will be similar to record of ragnarok, about a tournament between humans and demons And then 1st chapter came out and we just saw how one sided the demon vs humans are, and then plot twist came when there’s suddenly advanced soldiers came and asked for their help as well I know by then this will be peak I hope the anime does the same with it’s trailers to give the surprise twist, kinda like oshi no ko where no one expects the poster girl to die in episode 1
I love that you are talking about this; I've only seen one other video about Versus in the past year. I'm not falling out of it because while new characters are constantly being introduced and dying, there are two reasons I keep coming back. First is the Villain vs Villain fights; Aliens vs Demons, for example, was an absolute treat to watch. The second is the creativity of the various human factions. One of their own comes becomes infected with a parasite, it was utilizing other factions to try and fight it in an unconventional way. I just wish Versus updated more, but I'm happy with what I'm getting.
I like reviews like this. It helps me pick my next read. Reviews like this are how I found "Rebuild World", "Reborn as a Space Mercenary", and a few others.
After all this time I just realized that one piece of artwork on your wall, Trish, originally came from a Magic card titled 'Crusade'. I've still got my old White deck around here somewhere. 3:17 The artist seems to draw killer metal robots and organic monster beastmen both with equal aplomb. And having maybe too much going on in their book is an welcome change whereas too much new manga from beginning to end has Nothing going on.
I was reading it from chapter one, and from all people who could review it is danphan! So excited! I have literally the same problems with it that you have. I think there are is a bit of foreshadowing for the MC to eventually make him stronger but yeah. We will see.
i agree the yap sessions were killing the story for me, but the recent chapters have been awsome also the artist for this manga is a beast, they'r apparently drawing another battle manga called Tenkaichi
art look's pretty good. perhaps a top manga writer can pull off the vast excess of 'nEw" character/sub-plot intros correctly. unlike most today employing this tactic to pull the woo-oops, i mean to serve the soap opera format in keeping readers dangling on for a of couple more chapters then, uselessly, vanishing,..upon the intro of, again, yet another 'new'. of an utmost contaigious manner, your entusiasm is. thank you once again.
Nah, it's not getting me slowly disinterested at all. In fact, it's the opposite. Every chapter is good and it's actually getting better every new chapter. When you go to many website and browse through the comments section, every comment out there has a word "PEAK" on it, which means it's a good manga. I can even argue that this manga is better than OPM and the reason why you people start to get not interested in this manga is because you think one is not focusing on OPM. The same thing you people always think that it would be better to focus on OPM but that's really a bad move. OPM is the one where it gets really boring as time pass by since the recent chapters are not interesting at all. Im way too picky to read a manga, i don't read something of a product of mary sue, i don't like isekai that is not serious and i don't like to read cliché manga's but this manga clearly got my attention and every new chapter gets me hyped. You clearly don't read the manga with a mindset to enjoy it, but to find flaws in it. THE MANGA AIN'T ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTERS, ITS ABOUT THE VILLAINS! You're just way too quick to judge and clearly you're not a fan of tournament battle manga. You're making a a review for something that is not your cup of tea. Better stay out of it.
I've been reading it since it came out, and it won't disappoint you. I highly recommend it, especially now that the BiG guys are starting to go out to play 😂💪
I'll add Versus to the list. This sounds really interesting but that part about the story slowing down because of introducing a huge number of more characters has me concerned. That sounds like Tokyo Ghoul season 3 just dropping in a whole bunch of characters and new characters I couldn't keep track of and had no investments in.
It hasn't slowed really from what I noticed and I'm caught up. It focuses on a few characters mostly irrelevant ones and it's easy to tell which ones are important and not, tbh I'm very surprised how well one's handling all the characters. I feared the same thing when it first released but I haven't been disappointed yet
Once the introductions are done, while there are a lot of characters, it becomes pretty clear which ones you should care about and that the story will focus on so it's not really a big issue. That said the main appeal and plot really of the manga is seeing the "Natural Enemies" fight each other, the characters we follow slowly get development of course but it isn't the main focus.
the past few chapters made Jachi my favorite character. I came to see the enemies of humanity fight each other, and in that regard Jachi does not disappoint
Did One actually write this? Murata definitely drew it. I do love what they create together. However, I must know if there is a version of this in One's art style.❤
@@LazyMode21Thank you for that LAZYMODE. Yusuke Murata isn't the only good artist in the world and Kyoutarou Azuma has been working his ass off way too hard for someone to spread misinformation and give the credit to Yusuke
Versus is incredible. The worst part is there's like 20 chapters and it's a monthly manga.
Not surprised but worth it to see that incredible art
shes didnt read a lot of chapters lol, it gets a lot better after 5-6, and then it keeps gettng better every chapter
Dude finally someone talks about this! WE NEED MORE EYES ON THIS FEAST MAN! It sucks chapters are on a monthly-ish release. Love this manga so much
Dude seriously, the way I choked on my sprite is crazy. I love this manga, but I thought no one else did, lol
I would rather for it to be monthly rather than rushed pile of crap

1-Demons

6- Aliens
7-Untamed wilderness
8-Neo humans
9-Curse
10- God
11- Game
12- Lawless
13- World tree
Because humanity is unable to fight off against those much more powerful enemies they decided to try their best and pitch them against each other
everyone can die at anytime i think that's why the cast is big because just meeting 1 threat can wipe out all of the human alliance

ONE is the manga version of Chekhov: pick a random manga/short story and read, I guarantee it's good. There's a big chance you'll laugh at some point.
Bro. ONE take isekai genre to a whole ridiculous level
Yeah he combined 13 worlds
Hoping it gets enough popularity to get an anime one day.
This manga is literal PEAK FICTION and it’s not even 20 chapters in yet. Love your videos ❤
