It's really nice to see some positivity in these comments. JJK is my favourite series of all time and I'm really greatful to Akutami-sensei for providing me with this. I really liked the ending and will continue to hold the series in a high regard regardless of the fandom's opinions. The entire battle of Sukuna was one of the greatest ways to demonstrate the power of The Strongest and just how much effort was required while still providing a satisfying defeat. #ThankYouGegeAkutami
I loved sukuna's reaction to how powerful and incredibly talented gojo is, even compared to someone like him. His face of fear when he realizes he might lose and that his entire ideology was wrong was incredible. Then, when he did get defeated by yuji after experiencing the same fear again, he realized that the life he took was not the correct one since, by his own ideology, he was no longer the strongest so everything he did up to that point was flawed. Love was important, and yuji was the person to show him that. Even though I wanted gege to elaborate more on his backstory to make his last scene more impactful, it was still great and an incredible ending to a character I thought was completely irredimably evil.
29:24 There are 20 fingers in total. One that yuji was made from, one he ate at the school, one gojo gave yuji, one that sukuna got from finger bearer, one that sukuna ate from another finger bearer, one that the two girls made him eat after choso almost killed yuji, ten more that jogo fed yuji, the three that uraume gave sukuna after hopping to megumi's body(in the panel it only showed 3 fingers). And the last one that gojo hid to avoid executing yuji.
Actually thank you a lot! Now I actually have a picture of what the hell was going on last 50 chapters and it make sense! (sort of) It was really good manga and I completely agree with you, that Gojo vs. Sukuna fight was one of the best fights in the modern manga.
After that crazy battle with Sukuna where literally every character was involved and played a specific role, making the fight being maybe the best in anime ever, I feel like any possible ending would feel like not enough for someone. After watching this video and seeing the whole picture and how incredibly the plot is written, I once again get convinced that JJK is one of the best manga/anime ever.
Yeah this happens with every anime and manga now lmao. People will whine a lot more after something ends even if it seems to be a good or realistic ending. I remember being anime only for AOT and thinking he dropped the worst ending in history. It turned out to be the exact ending I expected lmao. Not to mention with the tweaks to the anime ending it fixed anything that seemed off to me like people invading Paradis way too soon after the rumbling.
There are some wrong statements in the video. A few examples: 1.Sukuna wouldn't have been hit by the Executioners blade if Higuruma stayed awake a little longer, as he was able to blitz Yuji and appear on the other side of him, therefore avoiding the blade. 2.Sukuna also wouldn't have been hit by UV even if Megumi wasn't there, as his sure-hit protected him. It's why he had to grab Gojo to not get hit by UV once he deactivated the sure-hit inside of UV. 3.Yuji's Domain actually wasn't the little tour he had with Sukuna. As Sukuna explained, that was a moment similar to the one he had with Jogo and Kashimo, where the souls of the two combatans sometimes link in the height of a battle. It's also why Sukuna only activated HWB once outside of that, and it's also why Sukuna changed his body from Heian, to Yuji, back to Heian. But still, the video is mostly great! Good job .
he also said "this is something different" kinda inferring that its due to his domain, a "mercy" option kinda like how sukunas domain has the option of escape, yuji has a true way of escape if the opponent accepts it just my opinion
I believe the inside of the domain is the same as the heart to heart. It was just Sukuna's appearance was different. After he goes back to his normal appearance the the background doesn't really change and the fight begins again
looking at all the shinjuku chapters now that the series is finished, the series looks alot better. im sure we just downgraded the manga at the time but seeing the sukuna raid now that its fully fleshed out just looks and feels alot more better.
wrapping up the video i feel like all the haters thinking the ending was "rushed" were just blinded by how little content we were getting for how much hype there was every single week. Listening to this really gives it the pacing i imagine it will have in the anime and the ending in my opinion isnt even that bad and even sets up the potential for not a sequal (because that will most definately ruin the series) but more so spin offs or side content. Either way i love jjk and itll stay that way
no yeah i personally love the ending, people got too caught up in reading it in a chapter-by-chapter basis rather than reading it as a collective work, so people view the ending as just the last 3 chapters rather than it being the shinjuku showdown arc as a whole, which i think would be a more accurate place to call the ending. plus, it wraps up a lot of things in a very neat package, and people calling it "disney-kaisen" are mainly just people upset that the ending wasn't some popular fan theory, but rather an actual ending

This was such a damn good video. I watched it all in one sitting and honestly because I don’t have access to the manga. I think that your summary made me enjoy the ending. I think you’re right that if you look at it as a whole, it’s actually pretty good. Thank you for making this video.
Yeah I think the constant stop and go that comes from hiatus kind of soured the ending a bit for people. Being able to reread in one go puts the story a bit more in perspective
The only issue I have with the ending is.. It's a little too happy ending compared to the brutality that led up to it. I was expecting something more bittersweet. Like yeah they won but it cost more than it did. I think more important characters should have died and the world should be a little more broken from it all. I mean I get why, gotta make those sales and make fans happy. I don't think this ending was completely as intended but more to please the sheer amount of fans that went psycho about stupid things. I'm most glad that Gojo stayed dead tho. I was fully expecting him to make a comeback despite Geges hatred of him because of how the Gojo fans went sicko-mode about it. I'm glad he stayed dead. Just wish someone like Nobara did too, so it would at more weight of what was lost. Then again, with the trio and Yuta still kicking, I'm sure there will be some sort of sequal coming. No idea where it would go from here but I doubt this is the end with it being so.. Open ended.
This was a great vid. And I did read the entire series again, in a row, and unfortunately it did NOT make the ending any better imo lol it still feels so empty and it honestly just makes me sad lol but I’m still pumped for season 3 of the anime
The culling game would be ended if Geto, Shiori Himi, and Megumi died so if you just stop his heart after he has been saved from Sukuna(like Yuta did to Yuji) then the game would end.
0:26 bit of a nitpick but this is just objectively false. This really only the case as of 400 years or so before the main story because of Tengen and her ‘Pure Barrier’. The Pure Barrier is the single greatest barrier technique in the whole verse, able to encompass the entirety of Japan and effectively trap the ambient cursed energy of the world into a single country like a sort of greenhouse effect; unable to leave the country, the trapped cursed energy just becomes more and more prevalent in the bodies of the people of Japan. This greenhouse-esque effect isn’t perfect however, letting some tiny pockets go out of the country to accumulate and eventually be taken by the souls of people who aren’t Japanese, making them sorcerers. Edit: Evidently I am the reincarnation of Stevie Wonder when it comes to subtle jokes.
Holy shit I didn’t know Tristan watched jjk tf, I didn’t even know I was watching one of your videos until I saw that watermark TH-cam places in the bottom right corner 😭😭

A disturbing number of Yuji's friendships are based on mind control.
RIP JJK... fulfilled no expectations, but I should've known better than to have them during that arc where they attempted to run train on sukuna
also, absolute top tier choice in using cuphead as bg music
This was such a damn good video. I watched it all in one sitting and honestly because I don’t have access to the manga. I think that your summary made me enjoy the ending. I think you’re right that if you look at it as a whole, it’s actually pretty good. Thank you for making this video.
People saying that todo is the most smartest person
But no one knows because of kenjakus smartness he able to make such a history
Mad respect for using ultrakill music hakita can't miss
Gege actually does know how a vibraslap works, todo knowingly uses it wrong to get the results we see
todo forced the vibraslap to function through sheer willpower alone
Epic video deserving millions of views. How does this vid not have em yet
12:02 is both crazy and accurate at the same time and that makes it even funnier.
Jjk has to be top 5 most entertainment consumable show ever made
After watching this video I have a different perspective on the ending I really do like the ending and JJK is goated
Yeah I think the constant stop and go that comes from hiatus kind of soured the ending a bit for people. Being able to reread in one go puts the story a bit more in perspective
Vid made me remember many more dozens of things that didn’t mean anything or lead anywhere
If you think this I doubt you've read enough manga jjk isn't scratching top 10, way too many flaws.
They never said it was scratching top 10?they just said it was good and they liked the ending@thecolonelruf
@skzitzyandlesserafim GOATED implies that they thought it was in the conversation for greatest Manga which it isn't
32:18 i love seeing his objectiveness slip and him become the biggest kuna hater on the planet
Open ended.
a reference to TWO of the best videos out there about history and now this is number 3
16:09 "and despite putting up a legendary fight, *beep* he gets cooked
Literally looked for a vid like this 7 days ago, and it’s today I get blessed 🙏
Looking back at he story, Maki was literally HER.
I love how non chalantly he speaks making it impossible to know what is sarcasm and what isn’t unless you’ve read the manga, absolute baller
This was a great vid. And I did read the entire series again, in a row, and unfortunately it did NOT make the ending any better imo lol it still feels so empty and it honestly just makes me sad lol but I’m still pumped for season 3 of the anime
This video made me appreciate jkk so much more then i already did, even if the ending was a bit rushed.
You are the Jujutsu to my Kaisen
maybe the real jujutsu was the kaisen we made along the way
The culling game would be ended if Geto, Shiori Himi, and Megumi died so if you just stop his heart after he has been saved from Sukuna(like Yuta did to Yuji) then the game would end.
actually a very good point, i still just wish it had been explained in more than one line 😭
Seeing the Gojo vs Sukuna fight animated in 59 years gonna go crazy
Edit: Evidently I am the reincarnation of Stevie Wonder when it comes to subtle jokes.
no yeah i know about the barrier it was just a joke 😭
@@OhHeckItsTristan fixed
all good bro 😎
5:25 mans just speaking facts
43:54 if Yuji can survive getting his heart ripped out, I'm sure nobara having a eye gone is light work
but he didn't...
He did die, and Sukuna was the one who brang him back to life, he gave him a new heart through rct
The take care song at the start was just MMM GODDAMN.
Honestly this just makes me realize how much gege didn’t follow up on things or just straight up didn’t explain things…
Holy shit I didn’t know Tristan watched jjk tf, I didn’t even know I was watching one of your videos until I saw that watermark TH-cam places in the bottom right corner 😭😭
knowing i was the 32 thousand person to see this peak of a video makes me pretty happy keep working hard but never overwork yourself :D
The omori music playing when everything wraps up fits so goddam well thanks for saving like one month of my lifespan that I could of used to read the manga
i loved jjk and i will remember it for as long as i live
coulda made this video 8 minutes long 💀
This video will go down in history as go to place whenever somebody ask, "what the hell was jjk anyway?"
Gege is not a little bit bad at worldbuilding, the guy sucks at it.
The peak of this manga was SO high but the low point as also so LOW.
I'm not really sure what to think of it.
16:09, the fucking smoke alarm
Instantly recognized the ULTRAKILL song in the beginning, and got traumatized by P-2
when you said that Gojo won I imediately got an ad. gonna pretend this is the canon ending
Recently caught up and finished the manga after a few months hiatus and I LOVED the ending ngl even with some of less ideal points.
Finally started watching S2 of the anime and rn I'm just sorta continously impressed by the running themes throughout the entirety of the series
Meet potential manga! Nah but I want to see Gege have an actual good deal. He was on a weekly schedule, dude was clearly doing bad with shonen jump.
Surprisingly that last sukuna but at the end switched my view in the whole ending as a whole, Nd now I love it
*Domain Expansion: Oiled Up Diddy Party*
I. LOVE. YOU.
I'm so grateful for this.
My fellow todo lovers unite
👇
Also I find it crazy that mahito was the last person to talk in jjk
Who would've thought there was 50 min worth lore for jujutsu midsen
TLDR; The show NOSEDIVES in writing quality after season 2, don't bother continuing
I was looking for a video like this for so long
44:15 Ultrakill
Lol
Yeah
the world building is so hollow, that it became color purple.
This truly was our Midjutsu Kaisen
