Chester Le Street Steam Rally 2024

The Chester-Le-Street Steam Rally was rescheduled to the 21st & 22nd of September which included a Heavy Haulage play pen this year which is becoming a popular sight at other steam rallies down south. It didn't disappoint with interesting sights & sounds all weekend with big, medium & Miniature steam showing off there immense power hauling round the various loads from the logs weighing about 4 tonne plus 2 tonne for the trailer, the small boiler weigh's about 7 tonne and about 4.5 tonne maybe 5, and lastly the big Lancaster boiler weighs 20 tonne plus the 10 tonne trailer. Along with damp conditions and a small incline making for an excellent display of winching when the engines slip on the wet ground.
Along with all the other exhibits on show from classic trucks & cars to the rare & unique vintage tractor collection.
