- IT'S FINALLY HERE! The Minecraft 1.16 Nether Update has finally released! In this video we take a look at everything new to Minecraft in the 1.16 update. The 1.16 update revamps the nether dimension entirely. It adds cool mobs like Piglins, cool blocks like blackstone, and a new best armor and gear set known as Netherite. This video is Java Edition focused but much of this applies to Bedrock Edition as well.

When i was a kid am scared at herobrine good time's.
Me and this game go so far back that the gane was free! Lol. I to this day have never paid for minecraft. Got it free in like 09. Same account. When i joined there was only 122,000 players. I remember when they added red stone how much it changed the gane forever. Now they ad some of the same blocks with different colors and patterns and its considered a big update. Notch really is a hero for coming up with this. To this day i enjoy diving back in.

There is a valid reason why Mojang added bees to Minecraft; because the developers want to raise awareness to the fact that bees are endangered in real life, just like they’ve now added axolotls to the game in 1.17!

Fun Fact: As mentioned in the video, Crying Obsidian has indeed been in the game before as an abandoned feature. Originally it was suppose to be a spawnpoint block, but it was removed because sleeping on a bed sets your spawnpoint anyways. The original crafting recipe for the Crying Obsodian used to be Obsidian and Lapis together 😁

As I went in the Nether I instantly found the Warped Forest, the Soul Sand Valley, the Basalt Delta Biome, and the Underground Caves.
I found a zombie piglin riding a strider.
I found a Piglin Basidon and got knocked into lava by a Piglin, when I opened a chest
Haven't explored much so I only found Warped Forest, but I did see a strider riding a strider.
I found a basidon and stole their gold and traded with their own gold that they give me basicly free stuff.

5:19 you can also kill hoglins by towering exactly three blocks up. They can’t hit you from that distance, but you can still hit them. From there it’s easy going.

To be fair, Netherite is so rare that diamonds are still very useful, as they can be used to make the netherite armor, and are still just as good

I think the way mojang implemented netherite was really great. Because you still need diamond gear to even get there, and it's not even a huge difference. I mean, of course it's noticably better, but the difference is far smaller than say iron to diamond.

Eh, hoglin makes more sense. I often go back and forth on things with my artwork m, even when I get outsider opinions I usually end up picking the opposite, just helps me out in the decision process.

This is amazing! I have been gone for far too long! I missed the new tools and bells and probably a lot more. OMG!
FYI netherite armor doesn't take durability damage from fire damage. So if you have a full set of protection 4 you're basically fireproof. Also anything made of netherite cannot burn in lava. It will literally float on top like water. The other day I was using the elytra in the nether finding bastions and I dropped my netherite axe. Spent like 3 mins looking for it but it was floating in a lava lake. Blew my mind

I built 0ldguys bedrock iron farm waiting for this update sooo much iron :)
As per 1.17 (and 1.16.4) we also have piglin brutes in bastion remnants, have nether fortresses with blaze & -spawners, wither skeletons. Warped wart block and nether wart block can be best harvested using a hoe. The nyliums are best harvested with a silk touch pickaxe, and are non-compostable. The trees can (and will) grow through single layer solid blocks, the vines have a natural growing stop but can be bonemealed to grow taller/longer and are compostable. Basalt has gained a brother, smooth basalt (around geodes or furnice basalt). Dispensers can place shulker boxes. And much more.
