Here's the question, how long will it take before the hinges break?
3 days max
Yeah I've never "bit" on one of these because I'd expect the hinge to break AND I have no use for "tablet mode"
well at least it's not a Hinge Preblem craptop lol
But yea, wouldn't trust any yoga laptop ever.
Just get a thinkpad instead lol
If it's not a thinkpad, it's not worth it.
@@McTwistedTwisties I had my razer for 4 years now and no issues with the hinges.
Super sick! I would also love to see your take on the new Snapdragon laptops as well! You're someone who gives good feedback and reviews over who might need each device! Keep up the awesome work! :)
Damn how fast are people 😅
Leaving a like and a comment to help the algorithm.
Never been a huge fan if laptops, but this review helps me with looking into laptops for my dad who needs a new one.
Looking forward to the next one.
A great review as always. I wanted to thank for your videos about the clogging AIOs. My PC recently started overheating and because of them I was able to figure out that my AIO was most likely clogged. I will be able to RMA it back with no questions asked even though it is out of the standard warranty of 2 years. Thank you again and keep up the great content .
As much as I don't like "sponsored reviews" I'm totally okay with Greg doing it because it means more financing to support Fix or Flop videos. It's not like EVGA is gonna be mailing over complimentary Intel X99 motherboards for a viewer's broken 2014 gaming rig.
To be clear, we've never labeled videos like these as "reviews." Touched on this a bit more near the end of the video as well.
@@GregSalazar I think that might be the problem. From a viewers perspective, all the disclaimers should be at the beginning.
@@Grievous- They… are. We said this video was made in partnership with both companies within the first 20-30s, included the “Paid Partnership” overlay disclaimer within the first 5 seconds, and put “SPONSOR” as literally the first word in the description followed by their company and product.
@@GregSalazar I think the only way to stop people complaining would be to put (Sponsored) in the actual video title.
@@GregSalazar Thanks for the clarification Greg. To be honest, I didn't actually watch to the end of the video, so I missed that part.
The wife unit wants a new laptop, and this ticks the bells I approve of. Her HP Envy 360 is over-due for a replacement - for the price this is hard to pass up.
Really, the only downfall I see is that the RAM is soldered... But to be honest 16 GB is more than enough for anything this is made for! $550 as the starting price is amazing as well!
it really sucks, I have a Yoga 7 that I got for $500, it only has 8GB soldered RAM and you can only use 6-7GB of it because the integrated GPU needs some of it
@@charliesretrocomputing yes but what are trying to do with it? Gaming is gonna suck, that is why we buy a gaming PC! If you are looking for a machine to edit and watch TH-cam.... Not so bad!
@@_Sn0_ Pretty much all I do on my laptop is 1. watch TH-cam 2. connect to servers with FTP and SSH 3. use Parsec or AnyDesk to access my desktop PC; so the laptop works great for me.
They raised the price
@@MaxShahbazian-dj9lf That was frickin quick!!!
Nice Video Greg but i am disapointed you did not mentione nothing that you dont like about the Yoga 7 , problems of Yoga in general are USB-C charging problems after 6 months 1 year , bad desing of power buton it simple just stop working , hinge usualy fail after 2 years , in some cases the LVDS cable just simpli stop working , no ram slots , no 2nd SSD slot !
I own AW3423DWF QD OLED 34 Ultrawide, I agree.
Camera isn’t bad, mic could be better. Over priced for what it is though.
$650 on best buy rn
@@pixylmao2761 yeah, is it worth it now?
@@pixylmao2761 just bought one for school
Just bought this for the wife for her birthday
Can this be used for college students for coding?
easy with any ryzen 8xxx series processor
just beware with glossy screen, if there is a lot of light, your eyes will get tired, it's better to buy matte screen protector for work
The version you have reviewed in that video, has it IPS,300nuts,60hz display or oled display? Can you provide display information of it?
I got a Lenovo Yoga 7i two years ago, why on earth would they use the same number in the Yoga lineup years later
Because their naming schemes usually use (Gen #) at the end of it.
Hence, Legion 5 Gen 7 or Yoga Pro Gen 9.
The Yoga lineup seems to not have this anymore but some review websites still use the Gen name.
Not that hard especially if you get used to other brands doing similar things like the Sony Xperia 1 VI, Fujifilm XT30 II, Lumix G9 II.
@@Qimchiy I think its especially dumb when the "Lenovo Yoga 7" is better than the "Lenovo Yoga 7i" when all they do is remove a letter from the end
@@Orashgle if you knew what the "i" meant it's not dumb. "i" for Intel CPU. This non "i" version is using an AMD CPU. Now it makes sense.
@@Qimchiy Why is it gen 7 still? This new one is like a whole different class of machine. Its pretty misleading to have a basically identical model name, and have the performance gap be so large. The 7i laptop i have runs an i7-1255U, and its honestly a terrible CPU, it can barely run a web browser and discord at the same time without being pinned to 100% utilization and slowing down to a halt. Not to mention the complete lack of a GPU I have. A GPU makes a world of difference, and this should definitely not be sharing the same name.
@@Orashgle it isn't "gen 7". The 7 in Yoga 7 is the model, not the generation. There's also the Yoga 9 which is the more expensive and premium Yoga laptop.
You wouldn't call the Intel i7 or the Ryzen 7 their gen 7 CPU. Not without looking at the numbers that follow, like the Intel i7 '7'700k and the AMD Ryzen 7 '7'840u.
This brand is way better than dell i would reccomemd as someone with dead dell and working lenovo products.
We all got secretly Rick-Rolled.

I wonder how hard it is to put a good webcam and microphone on a laptop nowadays. It feels like everything else has improved so much and then there are iphone 4s cameras and microphones being used by every laptop manufacturer!
One day I hope we can reach the apple standards of battery life for laptops, I wonder if that comes down to the software (windows) or a combo of the power draw and compatibility with Windows version. I really don't know but it always itches my brain to think about how apple does it!
I own a lenovo T495 with a ryzen 3700u with 32gbs (2019) and I love the old classic look, however, even a 2013-17 macbook tears it apart longevity wise and price wise (market wise, nobody will buy the lenovo, whereas the old macbook, bids left n right)! I'll keep the lenovo forever since it feeds my inner "teacher laptop" satisfaction. But DAING it apple really did something good before they went all "proprietary" on our butts.
Sometimes you gotta pay the bills, and for all of you talking smack, you'd make a Lenovo documentary of they paid you. Also Greg, respect but nobody uses Skype, your age is showing.
I see you're a Yu-Gi-Oh Egyptian bird enjoyer.
Anything with a copilot key on the right is a non buy for me, oh well... seemed promising
Is this a Trading Computer? /s
Nice laptop. But here in New Zealand this PC sells for US$ 1500. Quite expensive. I bought my wife a new laptop last wek as she wanted a 17" model. Got here a HP for about US$800.
I'm a ThinkPad man myself, but this looks o.k. too.
Is the machine in the video equipped with the OLED or IPS display?
This laptop is probably the best laptop available for the cost.
what happened to cooling vents? or it is like this only with fan?
Is that a 15" or 17" laptop? Thank you Mr Salazar! Is the AI feature more of a resource hog? A 16" ? Nice! Would you call this an ideal laptop?
I dont know. The Power button on the Ouside while its intendend usage is Tabelt mode somethimes? Sounds like trouble
Is this the arctic grey or storm grey?
Hey, I need some assistance with this, and your reply would be appreciated since I'm not an expert on PC matters. Is the B760-P WiFi DDR4 a good choice for an i7-12700F with an RTX 3060 12GB? I don't plan to upgrade the GPU and CPU for a couple of years, but I've chosen an AIO cooler for the CPU, which is the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240mm. How much do you recommend this motherboard, and is it compatible with my setup? Thanks.
Non upgradable RAM = hard pass.
11.5 minute commercial. No thanks.
11.3 minute...
@@simply_the_dev758811:31 actually

Thanks Lenovo for spacing the keys so people with sausage fingers can use it too, not just the people with lady fingers like Greg, lol.
Lol
I have the Yoga 7i - Intel Core Ultra 7 155U. It is the best laptop I have ever owned. I have yet to find anything it can not do and do well. The only thing, is why did they name it YOGA??
If you are looking to upgrade the ram on this laptop, then maybe you should not get this. Or maybe you should spend the extra money for the 16gb version. The only thing you can upgrade is the SSD. And they use a odd SSD.
In that red shirt scene Greg looked like an elegant rooster boy 😂
That was the best part of this infomercial
I like your stuff Greg, but these videos are no good for anyone. This is basically just an eleven and a half minute Lenovo Ad. You're a good guy, you make good stuff.. but talking about a product in a sponsored video isn't a review, it's a commercial. Point blank, this has no credibility with potential buyers.. this goes for all creators who make 'sponsored' product videos.
I get it, you have to pay the bills.. but man.. these videos are just a waste of your talents.
I NEVER called this a review. Not sure where you’re drawing this conclusion. Please point to where I said it. It also doesn’t sound as though you watched the end of the video.
@@GregSalazar It's an eleven minute commercial, of course I didn't watch it all.
I watch all of your normal videos though.
Any recommendations for a laptop around 500 for college work?
A315-24P-R8PJ
If only they offered 32gb of ram 😢
It’s a DD5 8 GB that should be sufficient it matches for most 32 GB DD4
@@juicesenpai1413 that’s not how that works
@@Vegatablez couldn’t find your comment until your reply and yes after seeing the video my bad.
2:47 yeah but that also has nothing to do with any AI, it is just a feature the program has.. I mean if we call that AI then paint's feature to color everything in a circle for example is also an AI and it is in paint for forever.. If the calculator would be invented today they would sell it as AI...
It is so ridiculus that they trick the consumers with that you have AI built in this or that when in reallity 1) we can't even create a real AI, 2) AI needs a super computer which is as huge as a building, how would they put it into a laptop? Or monitor? (I totally burned out when I have read about AI monitors) or bicycles? (what the hell?) Hell I have even seen AI scooter advertisments.. I really hope atleast the EU will regulate these advertismtents cause these are easily deceiving the customer for profit
C'mon Greg! This ain't no review, this is an advertisement! 🤣🤣🤣
Name one place where I called it a review. You also clearly ignored the end of the video…

Hi
sheeeeeesh
I refuse to buy a laptop that has a numpad.
That's a bizarre hill to die on 🤔
I only buy laptops with numpad
I refuse to buy without :)
@@bcarden133 The numpad on laptops is typically located right beside the enter key, making it difficult to distinguish the enter key and arrow keys from the numpad keys without glancing down at the keyboard. Unlike desktop keyboards, there is no space separating the numpad from the regular keys.
Also, laptops with a numpad often have the touchpad shifted to the left, making it uncomfortable to use ''lap''top on your lap. The numpad also makes a laptop look ugly.
@@WrexBF skill issue tbh

You can't get the 16" in OLED. The 14" in OLED starts at $1370. The IPS version here doesn't cover nearly enough of the color gamut for color accurate work. If one wanted to use it in tablet mode, the 14" would be a lot easier to hold in any case.
Thanks for the review. The things I miss are the upgrade able cpus.
compare to genuine reviews ... is this not a genuine review? Somehow i do not think you are disingenuous ... I do think it might be a review ... is it broken? is it dirty?
