Loved this, tell us about the arab sportsmen please because there are too many. How can we identify them from those who are serious about bout marriage

so authentic.. having pride in the family's name and doing our best not to shame it.
I'm Algerian, when my cousin went to jail for an assault it felt like the world came to an end in our family 🤣🤣 we were all shamed to hold our heads in the street and the elders fought among them selves saying: how could our family, that had a history of honorable men and women serving the country, have such a shame of a son.
My uncle, his father, apologized repeatedly for failing to raise his son and the rest of us cousins were pressured to make better achievements in life just to clean the family's name.
Just imagine bringing someone not to their standards and expectations as an in-law, it's impossible.

Haha, reading your comment brought back some flashbacks of similar stories; I can totally relate! I hope that by now your cousin is forgiven.😄

If the love feels good for both individuals and further for a serious relationship no matter what culture, religion people have. It is about the life of two people and not about the families of them! That´s my point of view about this subject.

I can adapt to any culture I am very feminine natured and have a submissive way about myself that makes me proud because alot of countries think All Americans are strong natured fast to sleep around and this stuff I have managed to be the exception to alot of myths ❤💯

I don't need to watch to know. It's a mix between religion, ethno-centrism, cultural differences, and in some cases colorism. The same is true for a dozen other Islamic ethnic groups. However if your willing to bend over backwards and look past/accommodate all this you'll be welcomed with open arms. So long as you do this for the rest of your life!😢 2 or 3rd generation might be a little different though with any luck.

Is there away to get the parents to earn the girlfriend’s trust as a foreigner, in order to allow her to marry their son?

I think that being modest and having strong moral values, both in your private circle and in public, is important. Having a good and respectable reputation is also vital. Based on what we are taught, a woman is married for four reasons: her wealth, her family status, her beauty, or her religion.
We are advised to prioritize religion, other things are important too, but we are told too consider them only after we know that the woman believes in God, especially if we want the marriage to be fulfilling.

As a Somali we share a similar mindset we don’t let anyone marry from us we like to persevere our culture and values etc . We don’t even let certain qabilas marry from us that are Somali we’re very strict and interracial marriages we don’t believe in .

Exactly The United States is very multicultural. My father has a heritage that's Scottish and Native American, but my mom was Puerto Rican. I ended up so light skinned that my skin will always betray my actions. I guess how my skin (especially how my face tomatoes) tells my husband every little thing about my day. I can't even ignore being tired.

I can’t speak for all African tribes but to be honest, in my tribe we are very tribalistic. Marriage outside side of your own sub tribe is possible but it’s harder for a woman like me to do so. It more complicated when a woman wants to marry another African much less an Arab 😅. I guess it’s seen as something odd. The family will have bad assumptions about the relationship. In essence in my culture it’s easier for a man to marry women from other cultures than for women.

This attitude is wrong. Any Muslim, can marry another Muslim. No matter what their background or country is. And this is the right view. Because this was prophets Muhammad's view. Peace be upon him.

I think this is wrong. I think if 2 people have the same religion, they should be able to get married. For example, I am Muslim, but a Dutch convert to Islam. From the Netherlands. And my husband is an Iraqi Arab and also Muslim. We should not look at our culture. But to our religion. Our prophet said all people are equal and that rascism is wrong. A black Muslim should be able to get married to an Arab Muslim for example..if they are both good believers. I have 2 daughters who are half Dutch and half Iraqi. My husband and I decided that our daughters can choose their own husbands. The only thing that is important for us is that the husband she chooses is Muslim and has a good personality. Country or skin color does not matter to us.

Very well said. I think that there are also some benefits in mixing the genes. And as you perfectly said, it's mentioned in the Quran, and God is the wisest. Thanks for the comment and I hope you end up having what you wish for.

Being Arab is not defined by a race or a distinct ethnic group, you can have interracial marriages and still both be Arab.
