      Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah, Katsa Moolight my sister please don't fall into his game. I can see that this person is full of anger and he is just here to spread hate and insults. Don't be like him, no matter what you say, that person takes the liberty to talk in an immature way because we can't see him, so let's just ignore him because he won't benefit us to insult him too ! :)

    I’m white American and my husband is Jordanian. I’m actually quite shocked by what some of these people are saying. What is our origin of not Jennah, Adam and Even, Allah swt? To honestly not allow your child to marry outside of your race...is your race more important than humanity? Can’t a woman learn to cook the food of the husband or the husband understand the wives family culture? Isn’t marriage about love, compassion and compromise. As long as each others deen is relatable than what is the problem. I know we can’t say limiting marriage because of race is haram but I see nothing Islamic about it. We are so stuck on our ancestors and our culture that we lose sight of Islam we lose sight of who we ultimately are as humans. May Allah open our hearts and minds

    I ain't a Muslim but I agree in interracial marriages. We shouldnt classify the people you wan marry. Love is beneath your heart. It has no race or backgrounds. God unites two people with a purpose.

    • @maz4488
      @maz4488 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Want to play devil's advocate, you say love has no background and 'God unites', giving the assumption that you have a religious affiliation, so what are your views on interfaith marriages?

    ‘Curry is not gonna save me in the hereafter’ I think you’ve completely missed the point.The brother was saying that due to the cultural clashes , interracial couple might find it difficult to adapt to the different way of living, which is a culture they’ve been accustomed to their whole lives.My take on this :
    I feel like culture stretches far beyond what you’re portraying it.Culture comes with difference in language,way of living ,difference in norms and values ,difference in the way certain cultures socialise their children which can affect compatibility
    I am not again interracial marriages , I think it depends on the couple and how much they’re willing to compromise their way of living.

    • @mizondez53
      @mizondez53 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what marriage is all about compromise but if they’re too different in terms of all the things you listed than that’s up to their love for each for the said interracial marriage.

    My husband is Pakistani Muslim I am Mexican American Christian. Two very very different cultures and sometimes their can be a culture clash but let me tell you our love is pure and a reflection of Gods love. I am free in his love. His family is accepting of me. We don’t see culture. We don’t see race. We just see the love we have for one another. And the love we have for God. Don’t let ignorance and worldly thoughts affect what should be pure in Gods eyes.

    Also this mentality makes it hard for many people to get married. I know so many converts who have had such a hard time finding marriage especially more so in the UK vs US because girls brainwashed them saying no Muslim guy will marry you because your not Pakistani or Somali etc. Alhumdulillah for my husbands family. I have never felt more loved and embraced by another family and my Palestinian gf was shocked when my husband said their family has approved our engagement. Such silliness. This is a topic I’m very passionate about. As you can see haha 😂

    I have a question. Quran says that people were created with different languages. So existence of different languages is a religious sign (which should be respected). When marrying people from different nation, it is more likely that one (or two) languages will disappear on a scale of this family: either children will know language of their father f.ex. or they will just speak English, or both parents can try to teach children with their languages - but then sooner or later after permanent international marriages at grandchildren level probably these initial parents' languages will be lost. So international marriages lead to gradual disappearance of languages and small languages are most vulnerable to this process of globalization. My question is: does the spreading of culture of international marriages contradict the verse of Quran regarding languages?

    I think the clash between the children and parents is that the children's generation don't entirely follow culture anymore and majority of the people's background these days are so mixed (ethnically and geographically as they live in so many countries) and for the children's generation, the create their own culture for themselves. As for the parents generation, they bite hard onto the culture stick and do not understand that living in so many different places, intermingling with different races etc makes it nearly impossible to stick to the rules of the culture. And there really isn't a problem with any of that - children's or parent's generation - it becomes a critical problem when this whole culture takes over Islam. As long as it's permissible Islamically and not displeasing to Allah then follow or create whatever culture you want. In the end, we enter or graves and we're not gonna be asked "why did or didn't you put a ring on your wife's finger when you got married" or "why didn't you have people throwing flowers/rice as you walk down the aisle" - As long as it is not displeasing to Allah, do whatever culture you want to.

  • @01wonderful
    @01wonderful 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm Romanian and my husband is Pakistani...I don't think so language is a barrier between us nor is our culture. His parents are amazing and accepted that I'm not a "holy" Pakistani , although in these families marrying between cousins and staying in a so called Pakistani culture is some sort of unwritten law. Let's be honest if you have a convert from some random country like I am , you will not marry her because she doesn't speak ur holy language or she doesn't dress up the way women in your culture do? What the hell is more important ?? An Islamic family or a feed up family of culture and no understanding of the religion?
    My own culture implies a lot of drinking partying and eating pork at all 3 meals, so now I should have married someone that has the same culture so we can keep our children in a constant circle of stupidity? Interracial marriage shouldn't even pose a problem as long as both partners are Muslims.

      ChichaWatniFarmer ChakNo170/9L No buddy, you missed my point completely. The fact that I might be a gypsy or white doesn't change anything... Both gypsy and white in that country have 99% the same culture. You will rarely find any kind of differences. Not only that but for your information they are only 4 to 5% of the population whereas the white are around 95%.

    • @01wonderful
      @01wonderful 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ChichaWatniFarmer ChakNo170/9L you will find only the old generation wearing such clothes, but anyone from the new generations have adopted the "be naked" culture. Same goes to the white people. In villages you will see only old women that wear long skirts and headscarf. The rest, if you only cover your chest a tiny bit and wear a pair of "panties" you are perfect to go outside. If you don't you are an outcast and must be mocked and bullied.

    The section comments scares me and make me understand why Muslims simply don’t want to integrate. And I say it as a convert. Mixed marriages are beautiful. Mixed children are beautiful. What matters the most is love and then the absolute respect for the other one culture/religion. I personally don’t think I’m going to marry a Muslim man. Not only for personal family issues but also because of the most of them have a point of view I don’t agree with. Love is love.

      Alishah Khaliq I have nothing against with marrying outside the family... In my own family 3 of my brothers have married outside the family... I have seen the goodness of that.. Alhumdulilah.. But the family tree ends there, it doesn't grow anymore... Where as it had been growing mashallah for many many years... Iv seen the different cultures and how things can be difficult in some situations.... And yes iv seen your Hadith that you have quoted but that wasn't mainly about marriage.. That was too show that we shouldn't let our differences come between us and to love every human...

They actually got married for Islam and the right way, they went through many struggles..where as now, mans wana go to the top restaurants, top holidays, Dubai every month and all that.... Salam, brothers and sisters. Just a thought : I don't understand why everyone treats Ali like he is some kind of Scholar, imam or knowledgeable person - he is not. I found this a bit uncomfortable to watch because I felt like Ali was forcing his opinion on the sisters their, insinuating that they are wrong and giving the impression that, he is right and everyone else's views do not count. Surely, as a talk show host, you should be neutral and listen to others views rather than asking for opinions and then disregarding what they say. No hate, its just something i felt was wrong and needed to comment. The scottish revert brother has some very valid points mashaAllah.

      obviously certain type is clearly haram. The type that is used for haram purposes. But there is difference of opinion among the scholars apart from that. Read opinions of ibn hazm, abu bakr al arabi, shawkani etc.

    • @gladtidings7874
      @gladtidings7874 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know that akhi. I don't think they do. But those scholars i mentioned, and there's more like Al ghazali have that opinion and they're heavyweight scholars even though i do agree they're in the minority. I believe there's strong evidence on both sides. We have to remember as well that in the early scholars time if someone wanted to listen to music they had to go to a place which all sorts of other haram was going on aswell. I don't agree that its permissable btw. I believe if something is unclear its best to stay away from it. But we have to realise some heavyweight scholars hold that opinion and if its wholesome and done in a islamic way, its hard to criticize someone who holds the opinion that its permissable within limits of course.

    The good news is you live in the United Kingdom and when you're an adult you get to do what you want to do and you don't have to do what your parents tell you to do. That's the law in this country and you can abide by the law if you want to ...you are free enjoy this country and enjoy its freedoms as I know you do...

    • @sarahda845
      @sarahda845 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Philip Marks its not law in other countries to marry someone of your race.... So what are u talking about, u won't get arrested or go to court....

    • @justnotrelevant
      @justnotrelevant 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just saying ...over here we are more free as individuals to make our own decisions and not to live in deeper fear of...what our parents find acceptable. I think in Islamic countries and people subjugated by Islam there is a sort of mental torture/ agressiveness imparted by parents and others..i think here we live in a more free society...ironically I thank God for this...but not the God that separates us with so called religions (who doesn't exist) just sayin'

    • @sarahda845
      @sarahda845 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Philip Marks hmmm interesting I'm from an Islamic country by ethnicity, Algeria, and people do casually marry people who aren't Algerian without this fear.... And in the countries that do have this, it comes from their tradition, not religion

    • @hellofellowhumanbeings
      @hellofellowhumanbeings 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Salamu Alaykum, you should stop with the stereotypes, because muslim countries or not, parents can still be very judgmental to who you marry. Get out of your head what you think you know, because even if it is partially true, it is also partially wrong ! I am a French girl, and France is secular free country, but still many white families can't imagine their children with black people. In this country, racism is really present, no religion rules the country but still we have this issue of not wanting certain people for their children. This is the second time that I see you in this comment section talking about religion being fake. Before saying something is fake, do some serious researches first, because the majority of time people that don't believe in religions think like that because of the way people in the religion act, not the religion itself. Learn properly at least the three most dominant monotheistic religions for a couple years and then come back to say whether you believe in it or not. And before talking about muslim countries, go there, visit, live there and made your point after that.

    • @justnotrelevant
      @justnotrelevant 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doda Dado youre jumping to conclusions; how do you know how much research ive done On religions...I'm not going to bore you with it but it's years and it's based on a very neutral and positive upbringing; I feel it's balanced. Thanks for agreeing my earlier statements are partially true. I think the theme here is religion not race but it's good you extend the problems of how parents can dictate and control their kids with respect colour and race- you do good here...Im sorry you're not happy with my comments but I feel compelled to give my thoughts on religion to help people make more balanced decisions on their beliefs, especially if they only gravitate towards closed opinions. I'll carry on making my comments and observations. Cheers

    It's just RIDICULOUS that some muslims hold on to this idea that you have to marry someone from the same culture. It goes against Islam. What matters when you marry someone is not their ethnicity and culture. What matters is their spirituality, if both parties are compatible and really, just if it's a good person. A respectable person with integrity. God made us into peoples and tribes so that we might come to know each other. There's no common sense in this idea that you should only marry someone because of their culture. You marry someone because of who they are and if that someone is good, and that could be a person from your culture but also someone that's not.

    If two people choose to get married then that's up to them they can do exactly what they want to do. No race religious cult or anything should be able to stop them. ItsIt's really as simple as that if anybody else has anything other than this... then in my opinion they need psychiatric help. Goodnight. May your god go with you bear in mind there's only one god and it's not from any of the organised or known religions

    Some not most of the families that Bengali brother is talking about are un-accommodating towards the brothers or sisters who marry their sons or daughters and test them like their not deserving but some brothers are dismissive of those tests which hits a nerve as the parents expect their son in law daughter in law to be submissive or wanting for acceptance like they’ve got an inferiority complex about them being different and wanting to be recognised positively for their differences and Vice versa.Im the boogie man in the family I married in to as their not islamicaly inclined and a lot of their practices are out right contradiction to Islam you could say they excommunicate themselves daily with their rituals I politely advise on this but it falls on deaf ears because Islamic knowledge is hereditary to them but one elder did admit that she was ashamed that I had covered more ground in 5 years than she had done in 60 years but that neither here nor there people can adapt if they’re really sincere about pleasing Allah
