    Suggestion:
A segment at the end of these episodes where we see Ebbers prepare the dish perfectly so we get a sense of where the boys went wrong; it doesn't have to be guided, just a forty-second montage set to music.

The best part of this series is the camaraderie between the guys, the joshing and teasing and laughing. Having visiting chefs all the time tends to interfere with this and puts the emphasis on success in competition. The mistakes and failures and the emotional reactions of the guys adds a lot of entertainment value to the show. We don't need the 'Normals' to be great 'Chefs' it is more fun when they mess up than when they succeed.

I'd like to propose a compromise for those calling for Jamie's badge, since I personally believe the situation is sufficiently different to Barry's badge loss:
Barry, as many pointed out on the original spice video, won the spice badge by just flat-out saying more guesses. And part of the reason his badge was revoked is that Dukkah was specifically one of the mixes tested, and he couldn't remember it.
Jamie demonstrated that he can STILL do a Swiss Meringue, which was the only meringue he was tested on to receive "the Meringue Badge", while revealing that he doesn't know how to do an Italian meringue.
Thus, I propose the problem is that Jamie's (and technically the others')badge is improperly named: It's not "THE Meringue Badge", it's a "Swiss Meringue badge", since there was no test included for the other forms of Meringue. So let's rename that badge (make it a "specialty ingredient", if you like, a la Barry's squid badge) and give the group a more thorough test for meringue in general.

Hi Ben. I think you might have to give Barry back his spice badge. I found quite a few Dukkah recipes with Lavender in them like this one
    Lavender, Rosemary and Hazelnut Dukkah
    1/2 cup hazelnuts
    1/2 cup almonds
    1 tbsp black sesame seeds
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp coriander seeds
    few sprigs of lavender-picked
few sprigs of rosemary-picked and finely chopped
    good pinch of sea salt
Start by roasting the nuts for about 20 minutes at a low temperature, 300f/150c, or until they are lightly but evenly toasted. In a pan on a low flame, toast the seeds-sesame, coriander and cumin for a few minutes until the aromas start to mingle.
Toss the nuts and seeds in a mortar and pestle along with the remaining ingredients for either recipe, and crush away to your heart’s content to desired texture.
    Recipe by Megan McCulloch
Good try Bazza and Jamie. Thanks for the laughs

Think we should be revoking some meringue badges... Should also slip some "badge re-tests" into episodes, just spring a "Make a meringue" in the middle of an episode when they least expect it

Custard powder in viennese- fantastic tip. Also, thank goodness the boys needed muscle to pipe the whirls - i keep thinking my mixture is too solid.

This one felt...a little too serious. A lot different from the normal vibe of the channel. Don't stress the normies too much, we love them.

I know who I would love you to have on, but it may be difficult in the current climate - Mythical Chef Josh :D

Really suprised at the guests they have managed to get on especially Rav. Who is next? Paul Hollywood? Liam the other judge of junior bake off / bake off the professionals host?
