The hawk and templar have 2 diff engines. Hawk uses 229 cc and Templar uses a 249CC engine. The difference is actually very noticeable also between the 2 power wise. Heck even the Titan has a diff engine from the templar and the hawk.
@@Nightmarerhfan2011I realize that they have 2 different engines. I installed a 6 speed Zongshen PR300 in my Hawk and ditched the CG229: th-cam.com/video/xFfkwQSlIrI/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Nice bike. Best bang for buck. Its has many upgrades for just a few hundred more then say a hawk x. I'm from L.I. originally where were you riding out east?
@powderhorn4043 I go back and forth. Primary drive 14T and rear 40t. The 14/42 is the sweet spot. Low revs on the highway and still enough grunt for the woods.
Awesome video! Thanks for the info! I'm getting one soon and I'll be following your channel for any info you put out there.
Appreciate the support, see you out there!
I think i want to get this same bike and almost same setup this is awesome.
That’s a great engine. I have the exact same engine in my Hawk.

You mentioned people are putting oil coolers on these bike... Do you happen to know which kind? Thanks
@micwell2247 I haven't done much research on the oil coolers yet. But chinariders has a discussion all about them.
Unnessesary in most cases, just so you're aware. 300cc is prob pushing it into necessary territory though.
