As someone who spend a year on stability control..may i suggest people start with it completely off..coz online races dont allow it nd the car will be a nightmare if u not used to driving with it off..best to learn with it off nd get used to the car nd keeping it under control
I concur, I'm a ams2 player and I mostly play single player with Ai and then I thought I'd try joining a yt channel community to play with people. They hated me and kicked me out because I could not drive without stability control and add no abs or tc, I ruined every race I joined and I've never been back. I still suck without assists 😂😂
@ do u by any chance have ac or acc? Id love to play with u….truth is u need to spend time playin with ai without the assists till u r very comfortable..
@prayersnunchuks if you're talking to me, yes I have them all cause my fomo is bad. I play in vr which is why I'm a ams2 player, its the prettiest and least taxing on my computer ( 3060 laptop).
I still watch Videos clips like this just in case I missed something as l self but all of this first one is basic like he said I’m more interested in the next one and the one after that one and so on as I do use weight transfer to rotate the car into the corner to have the apex and also use trail breaking all good skills learn I personally drive with all access off I can’t use trucks and control by assignment a few buttons for plus & negative But break bias where is the most useful & tries temperature and setting the right pressure to get them working for you The last few comments mention is that I interested in learning more about I know the basics but it can be different from simulation to simulation racing game as different sim goose different tire modelling so would be interesting to see how he handles this topic
You my friend, are a genious humble teacher. Very good for beginners. Im into sim racing for years and i think its very important to really start at the real roots and you do that. 1 thing i would mention is to completly turn off every assistant and start learning without them. Its harder at the beginning, but the rewards are coming faster after a while🎉
I started Sim Racing with ACC and that was huge mistake. Those GT3 cars are fast, powerful and take a lot of know how to handle properly. I almost gave up, and then eventually caved and subscribed to iRacing. It starts you in a low power, but fun Miata, and I was hooked immediately. If you go about it properly, learn on these slower, lower powered cars and move up from these slowly. I've never progressed so quickly! Now I'm on GT4s, not winning necessarily but mid pack and having a BLAST. Great video!!
May I please suggest a video idea for this series on learning how to practice? A lot of beginners, myself included are inspired and find motivation to go do practice laps, but I think most of the time it sort of ends up in aimlessly doing laps for the sake of doing laps and chasing time here and there. When you practice, are you taking notes? Do you practice one corner over and over again? How do you analyse replays? Telemetry? Would love to see a fundamental guide to learning how to practice effectively. Cheers!
Once you are serious about this hobby, get a good wheel and pedals. The days before that will not count towards the experience. Also think about the keyboard vs piano example. If you start with a keyboard, it will be hard to play piano keys well.
cool video, i think you should explain why understeer happens like really show with like a bike example, of turning the front wheel too much and it just going forwards
I call BS in the „brake before the corner“. Search for „trail braking“. It is an advanced technique, but it is definitely necessary to be fast and rotate a car.

Who else is watching this regardless of skill level? lol. I know all/most of this stuff but it's such a good video I was pulled in

I've been racing in Forza Motorsport for over a year now, but I'm self taught, so this is an awesome way to start an actually solid foundation.
Great to hear! More episodes on their way :)

I love your vids, you help a lot to everyone starting sim racing

Brilliant video John, wish I had this video when I started. Solid foundation, well explained and easily understood. Top man 👍🏻
Much appreciated! Sorry we couldn’t bring it to you sooner!
Fantastic video can’t wait fir the rest
I am beginner at sim racing. Thank you for this video. When is Part 2 coming out ?
Thank you for watching! No exact time just yet, but we are working on it to release soon!

So helpful love the vid
So helpful thanks !! Is part 2 coming??
Already filmed and edited! So will be coming soon 😊🙌🏼
Great video - thanks. Is it not somewhat ironic however that the sponsor - trophyai - doesn't support AC? If it did I might give it a try...
cool video, i think you should explain why understeer happens

This guy kind of reminds me of the guy from Bellular
These videos are signs that the sim racing community is growing again, always during the holiday season. Great video
Can I ask what wheel your using... I just bought a simagic alpha... wouldvyou same there's a massive difference from simucube
@@cater4anytink45 Don‘t worry my guy. Your Simagic is a great wheel
@yassineelb.4078 my guy... cheers for the reply even after my poorly written message lol
Your a lovely man

What is an ‘open’ corner mean anyone?
One with a wide entry
@ That makes sense! Thank you.
Bro is like "You might drive fast, but can you dance your way through Nordschleife?" 😂 What a flex. Thanks for the laughter.
Thanks my cars keep going sideways 🤪
Did you used to run a TH-cam channel about shmups on switch? You sound absolutely identical to the guy that ran the channel (which was awesome)
I did not! And I shall check it out 😄
My grandma just passed you!
